Spot on. You are correct. Even if the girl is invested in me (although it's not much) at the beginning, with time it becomes a bland conversation and we stop talking. I don't blame her, even I feel bored. After that if I am direct about making plans, I get a polite "I am busy" or something (on a good day) or I don't get a reply at all.

I go for a trek each month with an online trekking group(meet a bunch of stangers). Mostly that is the only place I can game. Same city, and I agree with what you said. The chat-date thing is real. You have to reach the "we talk at 3 am about our problems" stage with the girl ( although I have started to think this is beta game and just ends in friendzone ).
