4	Biological Imperatives I don't think living as the Russians do is the path to a happy society. Quality of life outweighs gross quantity, living our lives for the good of the state is the Russian way. Personal freedom is the american way. Their patriotism is mandated in a way ours isn't. At least that's how I see it. We love our nation because we love our freedom. That sort of love shouldn't be discounted in favor of a "standard issue" sort of man.
