I'm a beginner, but I'm doing this meditation routine for self esteem where I catch myself in negative self talk, realize it's just a random thought that will pass and then visualize a feeling of spacious warmth all around my body (Instead of trying to change thoughts it helps create a space between thought and feelings and my every thought has less power to pull my emotional feelings). It sounds silly, but I started to realize that we all imagine things all the time. Thoughts are based on perce…

Nah all good vibes, just a little skeptical is all. See too many trends that come and go, and it seems to me that there can be benefits of using one dose in conjunction with therapy, but there isn't enough research. Wish governments would let it happen, and the other side of the coin is I want to see in depth-peer reviewed-non biased study. I believe the findings are promising, but I don't think it's yet conclusive and it'd be ridiculous to assume there aren't negative effects on some people, es…

Ya I hear that alot, but don't think that drugs are the only way to get there. I am always skeptical of quick fixes and my personal experience is that psychedelic users do seem to change their views and understand their biases and what not better, but they see the world from a differently tinted view and are no more realistic than before. I have my own biases so I'm not saying that he/she is wrong, but maybe not completely right either. Like all things, moderation is probably key.

No way man. Sure it is just an interview about his experience as a coach, but It's all mindset stuff. Sure he only gave a few tangible tips such as tonality and posture, but everything else was gold. Examples: Setting barriers as excuses (such as she's not hot enough, she probably has boyfriend, etc) Babystep approach to social anxiety. Discomfort = Growth. Dont ignore the positives (small victories are good and just because you didn't get a number doesn't mean the interaction wasn't long term g…

I'm thinking the group we are referring to would be the same group that could pick up any guy 10 years ago. So their egos and standards are naturally inflated, but in reality they aren't as big of a catch as they where and currently think they are. I'm guessing after a few years they get the hint and realize this, but whether or not they are 'settling' or becoming more realistic in their own worth is unknown to me. I assume it varies, and this might be why some older women who used to be hot tur…

Idk.. a lot of people I've met who do psychedelics don't seem to have an accurate view of reality. Like they seperate themselves of societal ans social pressures so much that they can't grasp the fact that talking in a movie theatre us rude....Maybe these are just cases when people do it too much though

Someone said on this sub a few days ago. 'There are no boring people, just people who chose to do boring things.' I feel like this one line sums up the same sentiment as OP's. I hate those one liner motivational quotes as much as the next person, but this one line is almost nonsense upon first read, until you really really think about what those few words mean.

Definition of attraction right there. It's that want and desire to possess someone/something, but knowing they can leave at anytime.

100%. People feel threatened by 'players' so do their best to shame them back inline. Happens all the time, probably even more than we realize.

Are we the same person? Haha, good on you. Took me longer to figure this out. Sure I had a boost of confidence for alittle while, but when I went back in a rut, It was worse than ever, becuase then I felt like sex was the only way to mark success.

Ya I had a comment but deleted it cuz it was a little more r/anxiety material. The dark side of the force has me realizing more and more that anxiety is linked selfishness. It's self preservense to the extreme..... With that said, it would be rediculous to assume that is true for most people who suffer from it, just in my case it was true. Selishness + fragile ego = anxiety for me. Great video that opens a hole can of worms when you dig into the theory. Will definitely use his advice when approa…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
