Link me to one of these threads. I hear that they have newcomers who are in some sort of 'anger' stage, so link one from someone who's been in TRP for a while.

So, you think that all ideas are created equal, then? Just because someone, somewhere, at some time thought it up, it automatically deserves respect? "My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge" is the way you want to approach this? If I insisted that the moon is made of Monterey Jack, would you seriously entertain a debate with me? Because that's how "blue pills" feel about "red pills." Their ideas are so far beyond the realm of plausible that arguing with them is the same as arguing with s…

I wish you good luck and if things go south we're here for you. Wow, so much condescension for a relationship you know nothing about. Well aside from the 6 or so sentences that OP wrote about it. How on earth can you be so certain of failure? I'm pretty sure he's not 'certain' of failure.

TRP's version of evolutionary psychology is a horrible misrepresentation of actual evolutionary psychology. Try asking a professional evolutionary psychologist why women evolved in a way which prevents them from developing emotional intelligence beyond that of a teenager. He will look at you like you've got two heads. Just because TRP is discussing evopsych doesn't mean they're doing a particularly good job of it. Since I don't know much about this, I guess all I can say is 'fair enough'. Ok so …

Idk, you'd have to ask them. So you're claiming to not be a BPer? Ok, but to put more into the point of "not trusting anything official", it seems like TBPers needs these so badly to disprove something instead of actually going out and trying to experience it in the first place (which is what TRP does). Why mock and ridicule something you haven't experienced? It's part of this mentality of "the only reason people dislike me is because I'm too good". It's ridiculous. Do you really not see any rea…

No, it doesn't. There is no logic in TRP. It is self-reinforcing pseudoscience. Firstly, I don't know anything about this pseudoscience crap. Secondly, they don't even claim to be a science from what I see. Doesn't something need to call itself a science before you can mock them for being 'pseudoscience'? And from what I've read, this 'pseudoscience' is Evolutionary Psychology. An actual branch of science. How is it pseudo? Please don't tell me Science Daily isn't a credible source. Here's an ex…

I don't see any kind of internet blogging as "improving myself". It's entertainment first and I admit that. If you want to read to yourself there's already something for that, it's called self-help books. Not all self-help books are good. I've read my fair share, and a ton are shit. And this makes me wonder: Do BPers only trust things that are 'official'? That seems to be the case in all of these debates for information. Oh shut up. TRPers who say "they hate us because we're trying to improve ou…

TRP is pure pseudoscience. We mock because that's the only way to deal with it. You don't debate religious fanatics because any time you find a hole in their argument they fall back on their faith. You don't debate TRP for the same reason because they will always fall back on their "biotruths" There is no point in debating TRP because it's just one big loop of self-reinforcing platitudes. Intelligible can also mean that they're actually trying to use logic. At least that happens in TRP. No matte…

And this is why TBP seems more of a hateful sub that TRP to me, as a non-piller. Comments like this guy's.

Reading and writing shit on the internet is not nearly the same as reading and writing literature. Reading and writing for the purpose of arguments, even while on the internet, is still more productive than Tumblr, 4chan or chatting with kids on WoW. That being said, reading and writing for the purpose of arguments is still more productive than /r/fatpeoplehate, /r/shitredditsays, /r/atheism and /r/TheBluePill for that matter. The only thing that exists in those subs are circlejerks. This is why…

It's all blame women/feminism. Certainly feminism has played a role...but why not look also at technology? Not only has it physically alienated us, but it is also replacing us (for example machines are replacing once human jobs). From what I've seen and by TRP's logic, they don't blame anyone but their selves for any outcome, so I don't think they're putting all the blame on women/feminism. It looks like they take full responsibility. But I see what you mean. They can say "feminism caused this a…

I think reading is productive (especially if it will benefit you in some way). The same goes for writing. :/

Logical to hate what you are obsessed with? That makes... some sense in the same way a detective hates a serial killer and becomes obsessed with finding him. But that's different. A detective in that case would have a goal of finally capturing and ending the criminal's crimes. TBP? It just looks like mocking to me.

However, my core beliefs on social dynamics/gender issues are pretty red. I tend to think most of these beliefs would simply be common sense in most previous generations. This is exactly what I was thinking. It wasn't too long ago that people had the same mentality as TRP. Despite not being a big fan of TRP as a sub, I've never seen anyone on TRP advocate rape. If they have, I think they'd be very much in the minority. Yeah.. I still haven't seen any of this, so I'm just going to assume that it'…

Wow, this is exactly what I was talking about. With all this 'hate' that people claim TRP to have, the only hate I've seen is coming from TBP. This comment is a prime example of this. Go try having an argument with a brick wall, and you're more likely to get your argument across better than with the average TRPer. From what I've seen, TRPers actually have intelligible arguments, whether or not their information is true or false. They explain things logically, or at least, try to. But TBPers just…

TRP shares a significant userbase with 4chan, so it inclines itself to maintaining constant levels of outrage. Really? From what I seen in TBP, I think this is something TBP would do. Go into 4chan and pretend to be TRP. I haven't seen a single post on TRP that even relates to 4chan. But you're saying you've seen TRP posts on 4chan?

Understood. I'm male and participate in sports, so I can see where this is coming from. But do non-TRPers really see that as mean? Do people actually say "This isn't a safe place! It's offensive!"? I'm just curious because in my group of male friends, we all just fuck around with each other. I call someone a shithead, they call someone a little pussy, etc. No one has hurt feelings (at least, I assume). Yet everyone gets along perfectly well. But I guess there's that old saying that "Men insult e…

Hey /u/Agharta15, you identify as 'purple', so you're the middle ground between the two. What is it that draws you to TRP but not completely identify as TRP? I thought what made TRP 'bad' was the advocation of rape", but it looks like from this comment that you believe that they don't actually post these threads or talk about rape.

Agreed. I just don't understand anti-subs. It's all just... a big pointless circlejerk, is it not? I mean don't get me wrong, I love trolling and making fun of people on the internet. I just don't like communities of people devoted to attacking a particular group or subject. Haha me too.

Some of what gets posted to be made fun of is a reallllll stretch. That's what I was thinking too. It just seems like huge straw man fallacies to me.

That's exactly the way I'm feeling in this situation. BPers just seem to be mocking, and TRPers are actually having intelligible arguments.
