First point. I am not salivating because I am most probably on the asexual spectrum. And soft is because the word fit more for several reasons. Second point. I think I just found a whole new level of negative energy. I personally think everyone is special in some small way. I don't freaking think this world is wonderful, and just because someone is special doesn't mean they are nice either. You tell me to turn off Barney and I tell you to turn off the Super Emo stage. you assume a lot of things …

...okay. I don't really know you but I will see what I can do. Now I know what some want. I am sure plenty see masculinity as a good thing.

You don't see body positive females salivating over fat men, they still want their traditionally handsome man. *stops blushing over this cute soft guy I am trying to give signals that I like him* "Am I the only one then?" like they're all special. But you are all special. While a tweet won't change the world it might help some people. This tweet isn't bad... it just doesn't help a whole lot for people who are insecure. And it kinda rules out a whole lot of factors to what makes someone intereste…

How are you sure about that? I completely agree with her. People don't need to look like a model to be beautiful.

... okay what am I supposed to do then? What action can a little nerd with no skills like me possibly do that will make a difference more than just trying to boost confidence? honestly I am curious

I do not say to touch her, but rather notice WHERE the contact happens. She is your boss and well... she really shouldn't be doing any of that. I am just trying to help you by breaking down her behavior. Your title is a question and I tried to answer that

good question because the country means a lot. I notice a lot of things on this subreddit that are spoken as facts... even though it only applies some places. if this person is in the US it can have a different outcome than other places.

Female here ready to help she is your boss, its already a nono I would advice not to pursue this if you are interested 2. put both her hands around my neck for making a data entry mistake Wait what? Is she hurting you? I need more info because this can mean different things depending on the other body language she is doing at the same time. Innuendos and dancing. She can just be a cheery person at times or she is REALLY going for it. You need to ask if she is dating someone (subtly) and/or if sh…

Same. I have gotten sexually harassed before I even turned 18 (and have gotten in very uncomfortable situations just a week ago). I of course let guys in on things likes sleepovers and such, but if I keep an extra eye out if i don't know someone very well...yeah I am not trying to be mean, I just don't want my butt slapped again (I hate it and it isn't fun to have to threaten a fellow teen to inform their parents) As a female who believes in equality I try my very best to avoid excluding people,…

Is there any way to bring it up? Does your school have a council or something? because if you provide straight-up facts about there being discrimination of both genders, and then the straight-up discrimination of hindering students from seeing something that isn't harmful, it can become a thing that gets at least discussed. It might not change the school, but it can spark something. I am used to having a radical teacher and no blocks (not even on nuke info or porn) at school so I am not an exper…

What country is this? I notice that I recognize some things on this subreddit while other things is the exact opposite. I am curious as to what country has a school that allows this. My school has NO filter, NO blocks... at ALL

I am most probably a little fucked as well. My mom acted like a shield from the worst of it, i dont remember all of it by my body still does and reacts with hysteric laughter when I get scared. I see wonderful marriages where everyone seems to get something out of it and then there is the ones that goes past hell.

I have been lucky to have teacher that dont bias on sex.... but is rather an asshole to everyone that he doesn't like. he was pretty radical and if he didnt like someone he would just grade them one grade lower than what they deserved. if you were super religious? Nah he wasn't keen or that. however those who he like usually wound up with great talents in what he taught. he was basically "Feminism is about equality between genders, and I don't care what gender you are I will critice you all unti…

balls chopped off? but dang do people have so little trust in others? Like, don't get me wrong marriages often go to hell but isn't it sad how a lot of people (according to this article) don't find someone they trust won't eff up their life?

*Assholes fault assholes are everywhere in many forms. government, males, females, other genders, nongenders. The government always seems to lean in favor of one side all the time and very few places are neutral. By trying to creat equality what happens is in-eqialty and plenty people use that to their advantage as soon as they feel the marriage seems a little hard at times. Oooh, the marriage life isn't like I imagined, divorce?

that is how my father wound up being allowed to live in the country that I live in. get married, it is common many places in the world although I have seen so many examples of it going to hell both ways. it can be rushed and lead to both parties finding out that it wasn't what they wished for.

A way to show others that one is committed and believes in the relationship. Marriage is more of a way to show others and oneself that you believe in the relationship. A person can also easily get people to stop flirting with the other partner by showing off a ring. (unless the flirter is an ass) I don't really see marriage as necessary, but more like a promise and a way to feel loved. My mom is getting engaged with this awesome and kind man. They both have had bad experiences with partners, my …

It is unfair indeed about the whole custody thing. (and the other things of course) While I am super thankful that it was my mom that got custody (but she still made sure we saw each other and was tbh the one that made sure we met) I can guarantee that some of the fathers should have gotten the custody on a lot of cases. I also know of a man that had a woman that liked him (in some way I don't know exactly I only know that he is super nice) and then made sure to get pregnant and then left. He di…

So. How would you approach that problem (men silently ignoring women, because they are afraid)? I don't really know, how do you fight fear? Is it the woman they are afraid of or is it the fear of how others or the woman react to them trying to interact? You usually overcome fears by letting the workplace know that there is a problem because no matter what they should know that someone is afraid of something at work. A workplace is supposed to have the workers feel safe or make it easier for them…

I think the best way to fight the mutilation of kids is to put doubt in the parents and do it systematically for years until it will be "obvious" to make a law against it. if countries made it illegal immediately then the people who don't see it as wrong just get it done somewhere else. As much as it hurts me to see this, to get this problem fixed it will take decades of proof to those who don't know or understand the ethical problem of this.

well they do mutilate girls as well, the question is just where it is most popular to do it to *girls *boys *both genders Egypt I think has the majority of female mutilation. but with boys it is looked at as "okay". not that I call it okay don't get me wrong i am shouting silently at my screen at this.

I am glad someone got to finish their sentence, imagine trying to answer and constantly being interrupted. I get pissed after like 2 tries. Not surprising that the person snapped. it is a good story but why is it on MensRights? this is just about someone responding to someone being rude and interrupting.

We should have a new separate name for toxic masculinity (the kind that is ya know bad for you and everyone involved) and just keep the word masculinity. I see so many damn confusions when the word "toxic masculinity" is used.

...how long does a kidney stone problem last and how long does the weight of a baby last. don't get me worn kidney stones are painful, but carrying a baby (+birth) is a bit worse... just a tiny bit. however, yeah, both genders should be held responsible for their oppsie doopsies.

Equal pay for equal work, it's not that hard. If two people have the same education and the same job and do the same thing, then they should be paid the same. if one has slightly more experience or education or whatever, then they will get slightly more. Forcing someone to take on more dangerous jobs won't fix it, it has to be appealing for the person to work there, and if they do choose to work there then the pay should be fair for what they execute there. There is of course inequality in pay t…

I dunno. I am split between seeing the artistic part of it, and feeling like I didn't ask for having that much skin and nipples in my line of sight when I am shopping. I am taking graphic design and this exact product is good in many ways, but not everyone wants to see so much when they just want the product. not that it will change anybody's mind on buying something. It is completely nonsexual, but I am not that hyped on naked over bodies when i am not in a place where it is expected.

I mean it as having it printed as a product. I just said a minute ago that i was unsure about what i thought about it. I have no problem with you walking around in your own home in any state of dress. go like adam and eve before they bit the apple if you want.

or just wearing a shirt in general when you are the face of a product. With your kid it is in my opinion okay, close contact to connect and all, but I am unsure of how I feel with that much skin showing on a product packaging.

For someone who doesn't have English as their first language, what does this mean? Manslaughter? Murder? what is the difference?

I completely agree. If you have been raped, it can be incredibly hard to tell someone, but doing it anonymously won't give proper credit to the victim. It is taken as truth when it can very easily be false. Some may be right, but it should be mandatory to give your name if you are accusing someone (unless the person is currently underage then the person should not be forced).

Yeah. I was first skeptical since I saw on the news (in my city) a couple of men who chose the day about females' rights to stand and speak about male rights. Not the best planning since it made it look like they were trying to discredit or be against feminism (which is actually at its core about the equal rights of both genders).
/r/MensRights12/10/20 02:20 PM

I think that most women support male rights, but that the ones that don't, are just the loudest ones. In my class, we all try our hardest in an ethics class and just normal classes to figure out what is wrong with the world, and I don't see anyone hating or not supporting the rights of the genders. It is just those entitled a-holes that "shout" the loudest and drags down everyone. Being a feminist means that they want equal rights, but of course some people have to go and ruin the word and make …

hey gurl. I know you want to kiss... but he doesn't want to. "No I don't want to" means "No I don't want to" it is that easy. If there is some history with him not respecting your "No."´s I kinda understand, but hitting him AGAIN is overkill. This is a perfect example that a "Kiss Cam" isn't good. I never understood why some countries have them (since where I come from they don't have that) because it isn't that interesting, but it also works as bad peer pressure.

How about this. Both genders have something that is super hard for them that can make their life crap. I notice that some only want to focus on the females because their rights were "recently" given. However, by using so much focus on one gender, it just makes some disregard the obvious problems the other has and calls it "irrelevant" or "nonexistent" since they might feel that their genders problems are more difficult to deal with. I have been in a few (more than a few) situations where someone…

That is the ugliest dress I have seen in a long time. If they want to fight toxic masculinity they should start by making clothes that are affordable and don't look like cloth toilet paper going down the drain.

The whole "holding the door open" thing is a tricky one, and not because of the reason this person wrote about. It isn't oppressive at all to be nice, but some strange messages by being polite can occur. Some areas of a big city can make it so that holding the door open and you thanking them equals to "Hey I am single" or "hey feel free to stare at me for 5 minutes or stay VERY close", while other places it is just common courtesy like "oh thank you-thank you too". And then there is the place wh…

I live in a large city and the word "mam/madame/miss and so on" can have many meanings, many bad many good. It isn't nice to be on the offensive at once, but bad experiences or just weird ones linked to that word can create weird situations when someone uses it to be polite.

they should change their twitter and instead of calling themselves feminists, label themselves as misandrists (a person who hate men) instead.

Feminists stand for Equality between both genders, whoever was against legal rights were misandrists (a person who hate men) who call themselves feminists. Other than that this post is pretty solid.

But... the whole POINT of being married is telling the other important decisions that may change your lives! The least she could do was TELL him BEFORE doing it and let him know she wasn't ready for it at all. Have a freaking conversation first. I compleatly agree. I have seen sentences like this being said I and I are just like "HELLOO change the pronouns in that and everybody would jump the assault, both are sentient beings with feelings!" I hear it all the time, males casually mentioning things that most would never let happen to a female. Example: "I was tired from work and sat down and listened to music. My GF was angry and it looked like she was talking to the music, she slapped the headphones off my head. I tried to say that I di…
