Edit: According to these guys, though, it's very similar in terms of laws. Slightly less restrictive, but knives carried for self defense are always illegal. Knives that could be used as weapons are illegal unless you have a reason to carry them. The restrictions on blades are essentially the same as if you were trying to board a plane. Except it's for everyday life. There are also other restrictions, for example you can't buy even a kitchen knife if you're under 18. Basically, if it can be construed as a weapon, it's illegal. If you have a good reason for it, it's not a weapon. And good reason is up to the police and a judge, not you. And self defense is not a valid reason.	/r/MensRights	05/08/14 02:17 PM
