5	My ex-of-sorts just told me she’s pregnant. She’s now writing me handwritten letters on behalf of the unborn child claiming a psychic link with the child. Feeling abused here but struggling because I’m finding that, as a man, it’s that much harder to be taken seriously when asking for help/advice I agree. It makes financial sense. It may not be OP’s child, she may not be pregnant. But if she is, and it is, the cost could be life-ruining. Parents who believe that beating up their kids to blood is the proper way to be a parent. It’s part of their cultural system of beliefs. Should we accept and respect that and say that it’s ok? The answer is no, just as we should not accept and respect child mutilation just because it’s cultural, even if it was done to us.
