Roaming Millennial/Lauren Chen on YouTube. Puts out some good content. Don't always agree with her, but she's clearly smart and puts out interesting ideas Edit: if you didn't know

Very much not, it's a relatively common saying

Yeah, I'm not in the military, but imo man or woman shouldn't matter. Once you're in the military you're a soldier, and a soldier should be able to meet the strenuous physical expectations whether it's a man or woman.

Not entirely true, men must register for the draft when they gain the right to vote, while women don't

I'm circumcised, though thankfully there were no complications. Sex is meh. It feels good I suppose, but there's not a great amount of pleasure, probably just good from the urge being sated. I actually wrote a paper in college that dealt in part with circumcision, and my Mom read it. It brought her to tears, and she felt horrible. She had no idea what could have happened, or what I lost by having my foreskin removed. She went along with it in part because of the culture in the US and because the…

Take two white people from the same class. Think they'll have the same difficulties? Take two black people from the same class. Think they'll face the same difficulties?

Ah, I imagine it might differ based on location. I'm along the Pacific coast, so it's rather liberal here

Life's a cake walk if you're a woman in STEM right now. Due to everyone clamoring to fill the supposed void of women, you're practically handed a job on a silver platter

Except they don't pay men more, that's the point

That would make sense if alimony was just enough to cover basic needs, for a set amount of time while the woman gets her shit together. But this whole based on the man's income, paid for life stuff is bullshit

Sargons not alt-right. He's said several times recently that he'd love to spend more of his time critiquing the far right, but the left just keeps it coming

Either that or combat standards will be lowered even more, leading to less-capable troops which would probably less to more casualties all around

Pretty sure they're focusing on the oppression and bigotry represented by our newly elected president, not child soldiers in africa. Really, just use a little bit of logic here

Why should they? It's the women's march about issues that specifically affect women

Probably because this male hormonal birth control is the only one we'll have any time soon, and some women have been acting like every single female on the planet deals with these side-effects (ignoring the permanent sterility and possible suicide) when the reality is that women have a wealth of options, many of which don't have these side effects
/r/MensRights06/11/16 07:02 AM

0.3% is a hell of a lot of infertile men if the drug were to release today
/r/MensRights06/11/16 06:46 AM

But you're disregarding the one (in 320) that became permanently sterile. Like someone said up above, if every man in America took it that'd be 500k sterile men. Not to mention it wasn't shut down because the men quit. It was shut down because the scientists found it had a 96% success rate, and while it was very successful it obviously had kinks to work out. So they had enough information for one round, and are back to working on it. Just imagine a new birth control that had the possibility of c…

How so? A massive amount of nerves are lost due to circumcision, and there's absolutely no need for it. I'm circumcised as well, and while I don't exactly suffer from it, I know that certain things only give me a fraction of pleasure they would otherwise. It's like if we cut off a portion of the clit of infant girls because it makes them slightly more convenient to clean. There'd be massive outrage
/r/MensRights11/07/16 03:05 PM

Well I personally don't see a difference between FGM and MGM. Both are cutting off a shit ton of nerves, and are unnecessary cruelty done to someone who can't possibly consent. But my comment was about how unnecessary, and harmful, inputting something like "not getting a blowjob" in place of cheating is. Flipping the genders is the only thing we should really do in situations like this, because that's all that's necessary. Any more will just come off very abrasive.
/r/MensRights22/02/16 03:04 AM

I'm well aware, but one is a shitty thing you're doing to another person, and one is being a self-entitled prick. Not saying either situations are appropriate, both are horrible, but they're not the same thing.
/r/MensRights22/02/16 01:18 AM

To be fair, there's a bit of a difference between not getting a blowjob, and being cheated on Edit: Jesus, I never said the OP was acceptable, I pointed out the false equilavency of comparing not getting a blow job to cheating. If you want to flip the genders, fine, do it and its just as horrible and gets the message across just as well. This kind of shit is why people have such a negative view of MRA's

For some reason people have this idea that /r/MensRights is just a bunch of anti-feminists circlejerking over how bad feminism is. Then they somehow ignore how 95% of the front page posts either highlight issues, offer insightful discussion, or are men looking for support that they can't find elsewhere. I'd like to think that if any of those people actually took a couple minutes to look around here, they'd see it's actually pretty good. Edit: Oh, and the post OP described has been bestof'd, so t…

Okay, I haven't done any extensive searches or anything, but I did find this that says a study showed that men fall in love more quickly (though it also says it might be due to men confusing love with sexual desire): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2054581/Men-quickest-say-I-love-Study-reveals-MEN-real-hopeless-romantics.html Unfortunately I haven't yet been able to find anything on falling out of love. Turns out any google search involving "love" brings up a ton of useless drivel.

While I'm not an expert, my class talked a good bit about this in one of my psych classes. Men fall in love quickly and also take longer to fall out of love, so they will (hopefully) stick around with the woman while she is pregnant to support/protect her. Women on the other hand take longer to fall in love, yet can fall out of love relatively quickly compared to men, do they (and their child) can get out of a poor relationship quickly. Of course like you said, everyone is different, and casual …

Just because an entertainer does it, doesn't mean he isn't given shit for it. Pretty sure Tosh has been given a lot of shit for being sexist and making "inappropriate" jokes.

Assuming you're not kidding, why not call yourselves something more gender-equal, rather than "feminists" which implies that you only care about women? Why name a supposed campaign for equal rights for both sexes "feminism" which again, only supports women?

I don't think you understand the message here...

Not sure if what you're saying is serious here...he's saying that rather than taking precautionary measures, and avoiding high risk places if they can, i.e. a road with high speed traffic, feminists would like to go wherever they please, do whatever they please, and not be held responsible for the consequences. Any advice given to feminists such as "Hey, maybe you shouldn't walk through the park alone at night", is seen as rape culture, because they don't seem to understand that rapists will rap…

Yeah, fine, so make that your personal rule. Stop policing what other people say and downvoting people just for disagreeing with you. How the hell is that behavior even remotely civil? Considering that downvotes are meant to be used on comments that don't contribute, I'd say they'd be deserved. Then there's the fact that I didn't downvote you, which eliminates this point entirely. Yeah, no. Not all of us are this delusional. The mainstream isn't going to take MRAs seriously just because we're ci…

Just because there will always be some controversy doesn't mean that we should just throw ammo to the feminists to use against us. The less jokes there are like this on Mens Rights forums, the harder it will become to "prove" that Mens Rights groups just want to destroy womens rights. If we want to be taken seriously, we have to be bigger. We have to be smarter. If you want to make jokes about women, then do it elsewhere.
/r/MensRights05/12/13 08:12 PM
13

Except these "jokes" can then be taken out of context to discredit the MRM, and if there's one thing we don't need, it's more controversy over Men's Rights.
/r/MensRights05/12/13 12:52 AM

While jokes are fine, the Men's Rights Movement is controversial enough to most people as it is, having this shit said by a supposed MRA doesn't help at all.

Going out of her way to fulfill her desire to force a child to live with a disability?
/r/MensRights04/12/13 03:32 AM
2

How the hell is that not injuring a child?
/r/MensRights04/12/13 02:56 AM
3

Yeah, I don't think a lot of them realize just how devastating it can be. If a guy in high school asks a girl out, and is labeled a creep because of it, it can be nearly guaranteed that the girl will spread word about the "creep" who tried to ask her out, and then it'll spread from there, and nearly everyone, even people who don't know him will already think he's a "creep". From then on, it'll be nearly impossible for him to get any traction to rise up socially.
/r/MensRights02/12/13 04:47 AM
18

I don't think the problem lies so much in affecting a guys view of himself (though as the OP stated, is definitely a problem) but just how quickly being labeled a "creep" can spread, and how thoroughly it can destroy someone's chances of building a decent social life and climbing the social ladder.
/r/MensRights02/12/13 02:26 AM

Don't they already do that?

I've never heard of someone saying all women are unfit for the military. The only complaint I've seen is how much lower the bar is set for women.

In my (admittedly brief) experience, it's best to avoid dating coworkers. I tried, failed, lost a friend and made work extremely awkward and frustrating until she quit nearly a year later.

In one of my psychology classes my (male) professor started talking about when he would work in a womens prison. He said that most of the women in there were victims themselves because they just went along with whatever their male partner did (of course they don't have anything like free will, that'd be silly). Seeing as how my class was 99% women I didn't say anything, but I couldn't respect him or take him seriously after that.
/r/MensRights08/10/13 03:34 AM

So rather than have a woman raise a child they want but can't afford, you'd force a man to support a child he doesn't want, and also can't afford?
/r/MensRights19/09/13 11:26 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
