Yes. Northeast Pennsylvania. The "armpit of PA" as I like to call it.

Well, first off, I apologize. I alluded to this in one of my other posts, but whenever I write something, it comes off like an epic story as opposed to straight-laced occurrences. I will admit that it wasn't word-for-word what I said, but I'd like to meet someone who can remember things like this verbatim. In either case, I can only do so much as to prove my case. Maybe you should submit this to /r/changemyview? : ) Joking, of course. It's a gym in NEPA. I understand there is somewhat of a stron…

Thanks, but not EVERYTHING. I was just riding such a high after approaching them. Yes, a high. Because despite the fact that I completely embarrassed myself, I was the only one in the gym who tried. I literally felt like I had the biggest balls in there. Biggest arms? Nope. Chest? Not by a long shot. Balls? Check.

The first time I read it, I was speechless. I try not to use it too often, only when I desperately need it. I have to try and find someone to make a picture of that scenario. Keep it in your mind for when ya need it. Whatever it takes to keep you motivated and chasing the things you want.

Whatever the cause of social anxiety, it's a bitch to deal with. It's one of the most disproportionate fears on the planet: it can do no physical harm to you, yet it can make you never want to leave the safety of your home. In any case, you had the balls to face your fears. Damn the naysayers. Congratulations to you, keep at it!

-To be honest, success wasn't the first thing on my mind. I knew I was in over my head. I just wanted to take a shot. -Leg day for me sucks, first and foremost, because I have a messed up knee from high school football. Generally I have to ice it after I get home. Secondly, because it always feels like because you can do so much more weight with your legs, that they are always ten times more sore, and it takes ten times as long to get over it. Also, walking like I got dry-fucked is never a good …

Shun the non-believer! SHUN!! Perhaps the story-telling cast some doubt. I do have a tendency to write everything as an incredible journey. Bad habits of an English Major. Oh well, back to Starbucks. Those Venti Mocha-frappa-lattes aren't gonna make themselves...

When I approached them, I made them laugh at first. They had the 15 pound dumbbells, and I asked them if I could borrow them, or if I'd have to use the "Suzanne Somers" dumbbells (Smaller, rounder, increased in weight by 2.5 lbs. per dumbbell. Not to be sexist, but they were generally made for the feminine weightlifter). They both laughed and I asked if they came here often...and then ran fresh out of things to say. I tried pushing it a little further, and that's when the epic failing began.

There were trumpets blaring, someone released doves into the crowd...seriously though. I figured someone would be a bit skeptical. If I had some proof other than my own words, believe me, I'd post it.

What are pre-sarging and pre-approach rituals that Sedditors use to maintain the proper mindset?

Two things that have made me happy: Doing things outside of my comfort zone. Growing up, my biggest fears were heights, public speaking, and embarrassment. I got over all of these in one summer. I went skydiving (Also the first time I was ever in a plane), and I started doing stand-up comedy. I failed at comedy a few times, but I kept doing it. It scared me to the point of nausea, but I loved the feeling afterwards. I felt like a goddamn superhero. Learning interesting things: In the past 3 mont…
