Is she a feminist or a woman you are deciding to call a feminist?

Wow you're saying if I don't like my situation I can just change it? No permits or loans or records or housing costs/crisis or lack of employment opportunities or student debt or random chance or health problems or increasing rent or issues accessing education or saving money to move or nobody wanting to buy your old house or worrying about having a vehicle to travel in or discrimination or family keeping you here or friends keeping you here or worry about not finding work when you do move! Wow …

You're not comparing apples to apples unless you compare my words to myself. Also, yeah your allusion was very clear. My reaction to notallmen and notallwomen are the same: "that's really dumb and not the point"

I do not have the time or energy to do it justice in full, but here is a very comprehensive, heavily resourced, and evidence based piece on it: https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/women/reports/2019/03/26/467778/rhetoric-vs-reality-making-real-progress-equal-pay/ But what it boils down to is 1) it relies on employees sharing their earnings even though the practice is heavily discouraged (despite being illegal) 2) companies can make just about any nongendered claim as to why the women are pai…

Great! Now tell them how the DEI report this is based on was self reported, only including 5,000 people, only spanned 5 industries, had no verification required (allowing for multiple submissions), takes the average before calculation rather than after (statisticians will all know immediately that this is an abomination of a practice), and has controversially never released any raw data!

Did you ever bother to look at studies showing what happens when you account for every possible factor other than gender?

It's not as simple as that. Have you ever tried to sue anybody for anything? It's a fucking nightmare

Do you read... at all? Not only have you just discounted 61% of US citizens as "no one that matters" (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020/07/07/61-of-u-s-women-say-feminist-describes-them-well-many-see-feminism-as-empowering-polarizing/%3famp=1) I would like everyone who sees this to notice some things: I never mentioned Affilia so his mention of the journal is not relevant to the conversation, but his hope is I will try and defend something I am not verse on by tryin…

Pretty sure feminism isn't a movement solely about women being better. I'm pretty sure it's about equality. It seems like you're bringing up unrelated information because you don't have any genuine arguments.

"echo chamber" seems like a very ironic term coming from somebody as hostile as you. Care to actually approach my points logically or are you going to be irrational the entire time?

In that case business who believe in women and hire only them will have lesser costs, outperform me and kick me out of the market. But we don't see that happening in real world. I'd love to address this, but tbf I have no idea wtf you're saying. You're saying that they are both hiring better workers and also paying them less despite knowing they're worse? And of you can pay skilled workers less than you are going to do it. And yes we 100% see this process of paying skilled workers the bare minim…

Yeah I already explained it. Just read the comment. 1) You wouldn't believe your women are of the same performance, so having that as a basis is only to bypass the reason I gave 2) even if you thought the women were doing equal work and you could pay them less, that still doesn't mean you can simply "hire only women" because that many women don't exist to fill those positions. And I'm aware that the adjusted pay gap is not 30-40%, when accounting for career choice, hours worked, time off, educat…

Also this is why mgtow was removed: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.newsweek.com/reddit-bans-men-going-their-own-way-forums-violating-hate-speech-rules-1616379%3famp=1 Also, I think r/femaledatingstrategy either needs to be banned or moderated much better than it currently is, so no they actually both just suck

I think you'd have to explain it a bit better for me to understand but I see what you're getting at. A while ago somebody said "if you want to know why something exists, instead asks how it benefits rich people" and it has never failed to answer my questions.

The question was to ask the video, you said no. You explicitly said no to watching the video and then accused me of being in a bubble.

My bubble? The one where I refuse to watch a video that doesn't support me cause I'm scared? The one where somebody who doesn't agree with me provides an entire video in disagreement with me. Do you not realize that you live in a much much smaller bubble if what you say is true?

The fact that you say "and have known any actual women" without evidence and purely anecdote makes it seem like your opinion entirely revolves around you

/r/AntiFeminists12/08/21 09:37 PM

Well no... I'll give you the answer right here. Women aren't paid less "just because employers can". They are paid less because they are perceived as being worth less than men and therefore compensated less. Even if that wasn't how it worked, women still couldn't be hired for every position because there aren't enough women to occupy all American jobs. Also this isn't a conspiracy because nobody is conspiring. Anyway, there's the answer you've appearantly never gotten despite being really easy t…

I know it essentially means nothing at this point since you're so dogmatically entrenched in your own perception of reality, but here's a moderate whose pretty funny and explains it a lot better: https://youtu.be/DMB785atM7k

Yeah I'll be straight up with you, this meme is a pretty shit take if you're trying to accurately represent ideas. Porn is empowering when not done coercively (so not as a last resort financially) because it empowers the individual by giving personal choice. Objectification isn't the main concern of feminism (sex positive feminism at least) because nonconsensual objectification is the problem. There is a difference between objectifying a pornstar in a porn video and objectifying any woman just b…

I would also like to note that by posting this you have broken this subreddit's last rule, which is to not post screenshots of feminist subreddits because the goal is to address core beliefs and not to address individual feminists

I am not in defense or offense if their actions, but I can point to which rules you were likely banned for. I took a look at their rules and I'm guessing 3,5, and 6 could all apply. The three rules https://imgur.com/gallery/Cwbm3XQ 5 applies directly as you did not take the OP on good faith. You implied that they intentionally misrepresented the dataset for personal gain and were intentionally cherry picking. 6 applies directly because of the second to last sentence where you mentioned that it a…

So the Naruto post was by her and not by you? Cause the post seems to say that Naruto is an example of the proposed issue, but what you're saying in this comment seems to go against that belief. Sorry I'm just trying to understand everything going on.

I'm going to address this by paragraph so I can be clear in my discourse. You've established a false dichotomy in your second sentence. She says men need to do more than the bare minimum in a relationship and your second sentence refers to that as going "far above and beyond". There is a vast middle ground between bare minimum and "above and beyond". Looking at her Twitter, her idea of bare minimum means not sexually harassing, not overly violent, not unhygienic, not cat calling, which are all t…

I think the point they're making is that basic decency should be given to everybody regardless of any (non-criminal) identity and should not be reserved for only "the best" women. It's not hard to find hundreds of women praising their boyfriend for "not cheating", which one would think is the bare minimum and shouldn't be praised but is regardless. Not treating somebody like garbage isn't and shouldn't be the baseline of being "nice", if you want to be nice then you need to go out of your way fo…

As a feminist, people like that make my blood boil. It's supposed to be this "taste of your own medicine" bullshit, but it's just a double fire of hypocrisy and being an asshole. People like that are why I constantly avoided politics for most of my life because regardless of what I actually believed people would only see me as the worst of my "group" unless they agreed with me.
