I think human beings are by nature selfish and tend to look out for themselves. However, in western society women have far more power in the social systems set in place regarding relationships, marriage, custody, etc. Selfish women would take advantage of these systems to get themselves ahead. Adding to the frustration is people who push to protect the people acting this way and the policies enabling them, all while waving a banner for "equality between the sexes."

"I want freedom" Forgive me if it seems as though I'm just glossing over your post but after this statement, what else needs to be said? If you're truly interested in the job offers then tell them you're interested, but you need them to compromise somewhere. Remember, they called YOU. If you decide to be done with school and live a life that is pleasing to you, by all means do so. Don't worry that others can't comprehend why you choose not to work yourself to death.

I feel as though OP was referring to The Red Pill ideology as in /r/theredpill, not as in the general wake up call experienced by those who enter the manosphere. As a general summary, over at TRP the men still chase women despite knowing the risks and dangers. They claim that the dangers are mitigated by generally degrading women and contolling them through methods they discuss. And this is where I think OP believes there to be a problem, as the men over at TRP say that they are above women and …

Heh, these conditions/clarificarions would've been a bit better in the description or something to prevent this confusion. No worries though. It makes more sense if it's simply a way of lowering taxes for oneself and the friend involved as you say. I still probably wouldn't do it though.

I've had a number of friends with whom I share my deepest concerns and emotions. I trust them with everything and they do the same with me. Some of them are female. No talk of marriage, no desire for marriage or a relationship. While trust is an important part of a relationship, I'd argue that you're wrong that it is the only thing necessary for the average marriage in modern society. I think the desire to marry stems from both bonds of attraction and trust. Quite frankly I feel no attraction to…

For what reason would they marry one another? MGTOW is a philosophy that puts our own needs and desires above societal expectations and social norms. We (for the most part) don't marry women because we come first in our own lives; our desires and our happiness are the priorities. I don't really understand why you would equate this to developing the urge to fill what we left as a void in our lives with someone of a like mindset to us. I'm all for hanging out with the guy friends I like. I'm not m…

I don't believe I am necessarily displeased with women; I believe all people have a tendency towards selfishness, it is simply that women are currently more capable and enabled in acting selfishly. People have long thought of women as the gender to be "protected" and whatnot from men/the dangers of the world (women and children first, anyone?), and that men should be the ones waging and fighting the wars and engaging activities and relationships towards/ for the passive women. I don't see this n…

Growing up, I was always afraid of death. I was raised into religion, though loosely, so I had room to think of death as a... nothingness instead of some paradise somewhere. And that terrified me. A cold place where I could never move nor speak nor think or so much as breathe. And I was fucking terrified for the better part of the first decade I can draw memory from. As I grew older, death seemed less frightening and more welcoming. Not an emptiness, but a place to sort of... drift off into, no …

BUTT_NECTAR pretty much has it covered. There's no problem with helping others or being productive so long as you live within your means and cover yourself in case there's trouble.

If we're mentally ill, it won't matter whether we have family or not, odds are we won't remember them or recognize them, assuming they so much as visit at that time. In western culture, older people often live alone or in nursing facilities. Family doesn't always mean much once your kids have their own kids to think of, jobs to work at, and their own lives to live. They can't and won't always be there if you need them. When the end does come, there are drugs to ease us away, make it a truly pain…

I made the decision to go my own way shortly following the end of a relationship. The relationship wasn't bad by any means: a fairly cute girl with a decent personality, we never fought or disagreed, and so on. I was looking back on the relationship along with my others and I thought to myself "Wow, I don't think I was ever really happy in any of these." For one reason or another, interactions with these girls felt like work more than I enjoyed them, despite my attraction to them. At this point,…

Absolutely this. You already recognize that pussy isn't that great, so why put any special effort into that? And to me MGTOW is all about the "better things to do." Self-improvement/actualization. Spend my money and my time to do the things and go to the places I want to, not because society and the general population tell me "Hey, you WANT this. No, really. Do it."

it seems many of the people here on this subreddit are not fond of having children That is true to an extent; what everyone wants differs. Some men with the red-pill experience want children, but the potential legal tie-ups that may accompany the child's conception (not birth, the imbalance starts before then) with whomever they decide to have the child with. With that risk, some MGTOW opt for surrogacy, some opt out of having children to avoid that risk, and other men simply don't want children…

I agree with the notion that women are overvalued by many men and society as a whole, the "pussy worship" or "placing women on a pedestal" notions. However, female promiscuity isn't something that necessarily came from male sexual desire alone. Yes, throughout history prostitution has thrived as a business mainly due to the male sex drive. However, I noticed the mention of the creation of "the pill" in the 1960s and how men were the benefactors of free no-strings sex, but there was no mention of…

The MGTOW philosophy is based on the idea that we recognize the relatively disadvantaged position men have within society when it comes to relationships, and have in turn "opted out" (at varying levels from man to man) of what society deems necessary for men (get married, have kids, buy things like a car/cars and a house for said family, work as hard as you can to pay for these things, etc). Instead, we prefer to provide for ourselves, and adhere to a lifestyle of enjoying hobbies, free time, fr…

What he said. By arguing with a woman, usually you've already lost. Society is designed to build up women and put them on the aforementioned pedestal, giving them the moral right to do basically whatever they damn well please, particularly towards men. With verbal exchanges, I find that it is in fact somewhat appropriate to treat them as "children." I'm not necessarily saying to belittle them, but to give them a bit of what they would like to hear and go about your life as you would, and ignore …

This article makes me feel rather conflicted. BEWARE, long post and lots of quotes ahead, mostly as a commentary. Actually, MGTOW is the post, “men’s rights movement” crowd that realized that the majority of men in the men’s rights movement, or MRA for short, were really not interested in boycotting marriage, but trying to make a compromise to the fairer sex instead. To MGTOWs, this issue of compromise and supplicating is intolerable. Fair enough assumption I suppose. However, despite female nat…

Platonic love would be tricky to pull off, especially with social stigmas regarding physical contact being the way that they are, but I do believe it is possible. Some girls do engage in a lot of physical contact with other people (typically known as a "flirty" girl, most people seem to know the type), and would probably act the same towards their partner in a relationship. However, the complication exists where the woman will start to expect more/different from the guy (the idea that "all men w…

Ha! The stormtrooper thing sounds awesome, and I am not saying to sexually replace women with men (being straight, that isn't really something I'd like anyway), but I was merely suggesting that male camaraderie can replace female attention if you enjoy your friend's/friends' company enough. But affection is another thing entirely I suppose... Then again, this is part of why it is a dilemma for women to have become so toxic and hold so much potential power over men--we either have to deny part of…

It isn't really beneficial to repress thoughts in such a way. These are emotions and feelings that would be best worked out and explored, despite their grim nature. Leaving them to fester in some corner of the mind without resolution would end up causing more trouble for you. And if you so truly crave affection, then by all means seek what you can get, despite the limitations of women's nature and your own behavior. Seek out what you can get from whomever you can get it from.

The pill IS bitter, I would never deny that. But I feel that the alternative of losing everything because I believed in the societal notion of romance is worse. As for sorting through this mess in your head, that will take time. Who you are, what you identify with, how you feel about anything and everything, what your desires and dreams are--these are things that few intelligent people just wake up one day and realize. Give yourself time. Give those around you time and an open invitation into yo…

May I ask in what ways do you get stuck at the acquaintance phase? Do you only meet/talk to new people once or twice and then the contact just sort of slips away? And I can relate to the blue-piller comment. Even my closest friends look at me oddly when I bring up MGTOW or related male-female issues. Maybe it's time to search elsewhere? For people to interact with and hobbies/activities and such. If you feel the impulse to do or try something, give it a shot. Or take a vacation, clear your mind …

The best advice is sometimes the hardest to hear. While mine may not be the best, it may be difficult: Put yourself out there more. Do some community service. Join a club. Suggest going out more often with your friends and family. Just meet as many people as you can, despite the fact that many people may not seem worth meeting. Eventually, you may stumble into someone who has a lot in common with you. Hell, reading through most of this I wondered if I'd written it and forgotten about it somehow!…

Ah, it's been quite some time since I last heard Plato's Allegory, and I think it is rather appropriate to becoming a MGTOW. Breaking free of the only thing we were aware of in our small little worlds and discovering that there is more to life than what we saw in front of us... Now seeing the world for what it is, we returned to the other men with exclamations and tales of wonder and happiness before unknown, trapped and chained for reasons beyond our individual control. But some of our fellow m…

MGTOW (at least from my personal understanding) is when a man finally realizes that society has been and will likely continue to put our gender through the biased meat grinder of our political and social systems, and as a result decides to live for himself, chasing his own form of happiness instead of devoting that time to chasing women and wealth. According to the generally accepted four levels of MGTOW, you'd fall under Level 1, which is situational awareness. It does sound like you've met an …

Let's see here... there's the usual women searching for an excuse instead of taking responsibility for their actions, not considering how their actions could easily destroy the lives of the men and, in the case of the lover getting caught, did end his life. All of this simply because the women "did not think through the consequences of their accusations," despite (in some cases) having an intimate relationship with the man they accuse. However, using men and the "victim complex" women have at th…

That is a reasonable assumption, and it may be true in some cases. Who knows? Maybe that was the attempt at first, but the men soon realized that being free to do as they wish and not work themselves to death was the better path, and it has ballooned since. However, I don't believe that. What leads me away from that assumption for the majority of the Herbivore Men is how when presented with women, some still do not use that angle as a ploy to get women (ctrl+f, search "grass-eating boys' commitm…

I think Japan is an interesting case regarding MGTOW, because it seems that the judicial system in Japan also favors women (as these men are also more likely to lose custody of their children in the case of a divorce). The male population of Japan also suffers some of the social issues we do such as shaming for not "manning up" and doing what society expects from them ("Have men gotten weaker?" was one theme of a recent TV talk show, source along with some stats and other bashing here). However,…
