18	My little brother is teased for carrying pepper spray and called things like "pussy" while I as a female am praised for doing the same. What the hell? Only works if you're actually seen as one of the group. That kind of behavior can come from being the lowest in the group, or as someone outside the group who doesn't belong. What works for one is going to make the situation worse in the other. Not to mention that if you're just not the kind of person who talks shit, it's going to come off as forced and pleading, which makes one look even weaker than if they hadn't done anything.	/r/MensRights	26/08/12 08:49 PM

2	As far as I can tell, this is how it works Learn basic self defense, and keep up with it. You can't just take "a class" and be done with it. You have to work at it on a regular basis to keep up the motor memory. Get some form of weapon training, and carry it with you if you feel you're going to be in danger. 2	[x-post from r/wtf] Rape prevention tips finds its way to man's house To make it clear, I think the argument is stupid. I'm not going to use any wishy washy "I can see where they're coming from, perhaps they have a point" type language. The viewpoint I'm about to express is just crazy.
