If they were a guy too does it count as mansplaining?

Someone dropped the word “mansplaining” unironically at my workplace the other day. It completely floored me, I didn’t know that real people outside the internet actually have the gall to use that kind of language in a workplace. I held my tongue (I wanted to tell her she should start womanunderstanding more) and instead explained to our other coworker (who didn’t know what the word meant) that it is a sexist word that means condescending.

Except that there are many, many cases that never get discovered or reported. Plus, hospitals are being incentivized to report covid-19 deaths (so that they get emergency funding) so there have been instances of flagrant reporting (such as the high-profile police death of George Floyd being counted as a covid death). I’m not a covid denier, but this thing isn’t nearly as deadly as the Spanish flu. The average age of death is 82, and the life expectancy in the US is 78. It’s not that I don’t care…

I always said that until I got engaged last fall. Then I learned that if I wanted to have a future with my parents in law, then it was THEIR wedding. Covid was a godsend. I love my wife despite my in-laws and Covid gave me a way to marry her in an affordable, intimate way without throwing away a relationship with my in-laws.

Yes but the idea is that any form of censorship of assembly by the government very quickly breeds corruption. Right now in the states, thousands of people are allowed to gather without masks or social distancing, as long as they are doing so in the name of BLM. A massive packed funeral was held for George Floyd (a felon and drug overdose) and yet people can’t have funerals for their grandparents who died of covid. Massive BLM rallies and riots are allowed and encouraged, but if the president dec…
