Wife: "If you do x, I'll give you sexual act y". Response: "Sweet pea, you don't need to come up with excuses to give me sexual act y. You can just do it any time you want." This is a great, playful response that is easy to pull off. Alternative (more serious) response: "The only thing I trade for sex acts is other sex acts". This is more like a statement of expectations, but makes very clear where you stand on the issue. Alternative response: "Do you want me to treat you like a prostitute?" Be …

First, I would say that the text stuff is probably going to be the last thing she is going to open up to. Focus on getting her to open up sexually in person first. I'm fairly certain that you won't get her to sext you until you can get her to do some fairly naughty stuff (unsolicited) in person. So how do you get her to open up sexually outside the bedroom? What worked for me was the drive-by request. Hopefully, you are already making 'drive-bys', by which I mean approaching her, touching her in…

If you get angry easily or often, then that's a problem. It means that others can easily influence your emotions. Being stoic is sexy because it shows that you are in control. Having said that, I do think there is a time and a place for anger, and in fact flashing a little testosterone now and then can increase attraction and help ensure good behavior from a wife or others. But the anger has to be justified (e.g., blatant disrespect) and still controlled. Check out this scene from 'Streetcar nam…

I guess the key is, is the man putting others first in thought or just action? Both men may put other people first via their actions. An alpha man puts other first in thought, while the beta man is really putting himself first....

Really? So the supplicating man who always 'puts others first and themselves last' because they are hoping that doing so will cause women (and other men) to love and admire them is alpha? The man who, out of neediness for attention and validation, constantly bends over backwards to provide for others is alpha? I agree with you that there are men that are very giving who are extremely alpha, but it's not as simple as you describe. An alpha is a man who gives from a place of strength. He gives bec…

Despite all the vitriol, I actually think you've gotten some really good advice here, if you can ignore the vitriol itself and focus on the message. Despite the fact that I think you are feeding the flames with your posts (and inadvertently with some of the things you've said in your OP), I really do believe that you want to have a happy marriage with your husband. So, I'll throw in my $0.02 in the hopes that maybe you (and your husband) will find some benefit in my comments. First, a number of …

I would say the 'mid-life' crisis is what causes many men to seek out and find TRP; they are tired of their crappy lives (and crappy marriages) and want more. BUT Remember that your are not seeking validation or verification through others. Starting a few days ago you began to be your sole judge of you and your actions. This. Who cares if people see your actions as a mid-life crisis? Usually when people start complaining about your actions and trying to label them negatively with terms like 'mid…

Oh I don't have any problem with giving them specific flair. In fact, I agree that it is warranted and deserved. But I don't like equating them with 'gods' and their words with 'holy scripture' (and I'm an atheist, so it's not a blasphemy thing). They are still only human and their recommendations should be taken 'with a grain of salt' just like everyone else (even if it's a smaller grain). Case in point; according to the definition provided above, Athol Kay, if he chose to post here, would cert…

I like the new flair system and think that it will definitely be useful. However, I did want to make one comment about the post. Specifically: MANOSPHERE ICON This is a rarely given Flair for notable personalities in the manosphere, published authors, prominent blog hosts, and others who are well known Red Pill gods who are willing to give us their time and wisdom by posting on MRP. So the questions is do I try to seduce her by rebuilding things with positive interactions or should I disengage and run dread 4? Well, the first one is simply making yourself the best you can be and going after what you want. The second one is trying to manipulate her into giving you what you want. So, I recommend the first one. Look, I'm not a big fan of playing 'dread games' - that is trying to make her 'think' that you might be getting it from somewhere else. Rather, I believe that 'dread' s…

In reading your thread, it's pretty clear to me that both you and your wife use a lot of manipulation to get what you want. You both need to stop that. You need to understand that you cannot 'control' her. So many people think that 'dominance' means controlling what your wife does. Guess what, that's not possible. Dominance starts with not letting your wife control you. AT ALL. Dominance means being sure you that you are 100% in control of your life. If she wants to come along for the ride, then…

Yeah, I never liked that either. At least in the context of game theory, like the prisoner's dilemma, what he describes in the movie is more like the Pareto solution. The Nash equilibrium typically is every man for himself, and I would argue that the Nash equilibrium in the movie is for every man for himself. The solution he argues for (each guy going for some other girl than the blond) isn't the Nash equilibrium, or even an equilibrium at all, because if one guy were to 'cheat' and go for the b…

Usually I agree with you /u/theultmatecad , but not this time. Personally, I think teasing the wife is a far better method than confronting. "Shoulda invited him over and we woulda double teamed you. I know you're the kind of slut that would love it" Sometimes the alpha wolf has to protect what's his. The phrase you suggested could be interpreted by the hamster as you giving her permission to be with another man. At the very least, a phrase like that should only be used by a man with a strong, w…

I think that there are aspects of TRP that help men get truly higher quality women (not just hotter women, but emotionally mature women). Those aspects would be things like focusing on self-improvement, inner game, building true self-confidence, etc., etc., However, there are aspects of TRP, specifically the manipulative tactics (i.e., Dark Triad behaviors), that I think are only going to be attractive to manipulative and emotionally immature women. Sure, some of those women are likely to be rea…

I think we are both in agreement. Dread that occurs naturally is good. If a person of the opposite sex comes up and flirts with you, no reason to turn that down (or play it up). It's just the natural order of things. However, if you go out of your way to hit on members of the opposite sex, you play up the fact that you are getting hit on, or other actions that I consider 'dread games' (due to the manipulative goal of them), then you are asking for trouble. It may work. It may just piss your SO o…

In general, the program for dealing with a spouse who doesn't want to have sex is (more-or-less) the same for both genders. Very briefly, and in order, these are: Get more attractive (HOW is going to be different for men and women). Push for what you want (more sex). Communicate exactly what you want, that the situation is untenable, and if the problem isn't resolved then the relationship will have to end. Follow through on 3. I'm a firm believer in many of the TRP principles, but I'm not a fan …

Keep pushing. Here's why: You are early in this process and you need to upset the balance. For too long, you let her think that she could get away with not having sex with you and that you were o.k. with that. You need to make her realize that YOU WANT SEX. Later, when you've established a new baseline that you want sex all the time, you can initiate a little less and create a sense of dread in her. At this point, backing off will just put things back to the way they were. Sex, even not-so-good …

As with everything, it's all about frame. If every initiation you make is met with a hard 'no' anyway, and you want to 'go monk mode' as a way of training yourself that you don't really need sex while you focus on improving yourself, then I don't necessarily see a problem with it. However, if your goal is to somehow punish her, or get her to initiate more, then it's passive aggressive and really comes from the wrong frame of mind.

Well, bear in mind, that one way you can add value to her life is by being a high value man! Think about it. Let's say she sucks your dick any time you want, is willing to have sex with you at the drop of a hat, but she never puts on make-up, has shaved her head bald, and weighs 400 lbs. You most likely would think to yourself that you could do better. She's not adding value to your life (even though she's doing what a good wife should). The same goes for men. Yes, being a good provider is what …

Great post. Really there are two questions you need to ask yourself. First, does she add value to your life? Would you be happier without her? I'm NOT asking if you would be happier with some other woman; if you have problems with your wife, then you are likely to have similar problems with the next woman. You need to be happy with yourself. If she doesn't add value to your life relative to if you were alone, then you need to starting thinking about (and moving towards) a life without her. The s…

Thanks for the reply. I consider advice from any and all sources. I tend to solicit advice from married red pill men because their advice tends to work better than the standard advice that 99% of society suggests (most of which I tried prior to finding the red pill). Go as deep as you can without your jaw hurting I'd like to expand on this point. The most sensitive part of the penis for many men is the frenulum, which is just below the head on the underside of the penis. So if you put his penis in your mouth just far enough that your tongue is on his frenulum, use gentle suction, and move your mouth just enough such that there is friction on the head and frenulum of his penis, you should be able to give a good blow job without hurting your jaw or wearing you…

I think what ofSpock is getting at is that "physical intimacy" is more than "sex." That's a very male perspective. For sex to equal intimacy. It would be better to say that it's a very personal perspective, since I know quite a few women who also believe that sex = intimacy. For example do you guys watch movies together? Does she cuddle with you? Does she repel from you with the little things? The little signs of physical touch? It seems like you're craving that too, but deciding it's all about …

What do women have to prove to be fit partners or is it just me and it seems like any woman, almost no matter what, could pass on her genes if she wanted. That doesn't seem very Darwinian. A woman's fitness is primarily based on her looks. Yes, even unattractive women can procreate, but more attractive women will be able to procreate with higher quality men. Because children's fitness (and hence a woman's fitness) is a function of both parents' genes, a woman's evolutionary fitness will be great…

Good point about the hot co-worker. I won't show her letter, since she wrote it, rather than I. I agree, in theory, that face-to-face communication is better, although in practice it doesn't always work that way. Some people, like my wife and I, just aren't very good communicators. Part of the problem in this whole mess is that the girl I dated for 3 years prior to my wife (and almost married) was an ENFJ - a people pleaser! She found pleasure and enjoyment in making me happy. Thanks for the thoughts. I don't play dread games. I don't need to. From my post to married red pill: There's plenty of natural dread. I regularly get hit on by other women, and my wife sees it frequently. When we go on dates (about once every couple of weeks), it’s almost unusual for some woman not to stare at me, hit on me, or comment on my appearance in front of my wife. For the record, I have no problem listening to my wife if she wants to express needs that aren't being fulfilled. That's not what happened here. Actually, in general, she rarely expresses needs that aren't being fulfilled because I try to be pro-active about them and address them before they become a problem. A cursory bit of advice I have is to ask her how she feels about your marriage outside of the issue of sex. She claims that I'm the most important person in her life and that she's always happiest when she's round me. Aside from the sex issue, we have a pretty good marriage.

I've asked so many times it's pointless. She is not introspective at all. She puts little to no thought into understanding herself (or others). For the record, we actually do have sex. The problem is that the sex is ALWAYS on her terms. When I initiate, she rejects 90% of the time. The reason we still have a fair amount of sex is that she initiates a fair amount herself (always morning quickies).

Last night I made a brief 'statement of expectations' and told her that she wasn't meeting my needs. She, of course, hamstered on about how it's all my fault, and all I want is sex, and blah, blah, blah. I wrote the letter for me, not her.

Maintaining frame is VERY important. But sometimes women need to see that flash of testosterone. A good example of this, IMO, is the movie "A Streetcar Named Desire" with Marlon Brando. He's got an incredible frame throughout the whole movie. Nothing phases him. Except in one scene where he gives a flash of testosterone and puts his wife in her place: Youtube If you're going to lose frame, go all out.

I agree completely. I wouldn't under any circumstances advocate continuing affection after a rejection. That would just come off as needy and weak. I guess that wasn't clear in the OP. If she rejects me for sex, I will hang out with her and watch TV or sit and talk with her, but I'm not going to give her any physical affection. And if she initiates physical affection, I'll escalate. Every time. Now I will initiate physical affection the next day (or maybe later that day if I initiated in the mor…

Initiate during the day earlier. Initiation doesn't have to lead to immediate sex. A flirty text telling her what you are going to do to her tonight will let you know whether to hard initiate later that night. Oh, I think this is part of the natural process of building responsive desire. I am frequently sending my wife dirty texts. Plus, I do have a slightly better success rate if I basically tell her that an initiation is coming later that day.

Is it because it's written from a fem-centric point of view? That is, it focuses on actions or behaviors that men can do to increase the chances of getting her to act a certain way, rather than focusing on what men want. I'm not sure that's quite supplicating, but I can see why a fem-centric point of view could give off that vibe. I'm not quite sure how (if even possible) one would fix that. Thanks for your reply. The issue you bring up is something I wanted to discuss in the original post, but it was already getting long enough. You are absolutely right that if you give into your lust, if you build it and let it envelope you, and then show her that lust in your initiation, it makes being OI following rejection so much fucking harder. IMO, OI is the most important of the four cornerstones. Every time you are anything other than OI following rejection, you decrease her desire to have sex in the future. Sure, she may have sex with you if you bitch her out or complain, but it's not going to be because she wants to. And she's less likely to want to in the future. The goal is to have a wife that wants to have sex with you, not one that has sex with you whenever you want it just because she's been harassed and threatened into doing…

I don't disagree with what you are saying in as much as the way I sometimes deal with rejection is not going to work for everyone. I most often initiate sex last thing in the day, because that's the only time that we are both together and don't have little rugrats in our presence. So it would be nearly impossible for me to 'go do something else' if she turns me down for sex. What am I possibly going to go do; it's almost time for us to go to bed??? If I disappeared to 'go do something else', it …

IMO, the key is to develop a 'workout plan' (or at least sources of such things) that people can use to develop and strengthen the other legs of the frame. We always talk about lifting because it's one of the easiest things to work on - their are lots of great workout plans out there. However, it's sometimes hard to figure out how to strengthen the emotional and intellectual legs because we don't have many definitive plans for doing so.

This is definitely one of the best explanations of frame I have seen. Nice job. As a teacher, I see one place that your post could be improved and that is to include some examples. Possibly talk about how having strong legs of the 'tripod' enable to you to maintain your 'vision' specifically when tested by the wife (or another man, a colleague, etc.). You've done a good job of explaining frame with words, showing frame with a picture (the tripod), so you're hitting different learning styles. But…

This mirrors my experiences as well. Prior to RP, I never had a good understanding of how to interact with women - looking back, I realize that I was attractive to a lot of women (so many wasted opportunities), but I just didn't understand how to successfully pursue them. Thus, my intellectual basis was lacking, which had negative impacts on my emotional basis as well since I often 'felt' like I wasn't attractive to women and was undesirable. Even after learning about RP, understanding IOIs, and…

The reason that "fake it 'till you make it" works for improving frame is because 1. the strength of your frame is to some degree based on past experiences, but 2. success often results from a strong frame (even a faked one). If you are always successful at everything you try, then chances are that you are naturally going to have a pretty strong frame. You know how to get what you want from the world because you've done it. You know that your efforts will usually result in success. If, however, y…

When you cultivate a good relationship with your wife where she loves you, trust you, and cares about you she wants to have great sex with you. This is true for some women, but certainly not all. Some women are people pleasers and can get considerable enjoyment from making someone else happy or bringing someone else pleasure. I've dated women like that and they'll have sex with a husband/boyfriend even if she isn't in the mood herself. Other women will avoid sex if they aren't in the mood, no ma…

I agree that you might have to 'communicate' with your wife that she is not fulfilling your needs. However, how you communicate that is going to be critically important to whether you get an enthusiastic response (i.e., increase in great sex), an unenthusiastic response (i.e., increase in crappy sex), or even a plain rejection (e.g., 'I just don't want to do that'). Ultimately, though, I disagree that women stop being interested in sex after they have children. They just often stop being interes…

In order to understand hypergamy - what its function is, why it exists, etc. - you must look at it from an evolutionary context. Marriage is a social construct, not a biological one. Thus, hypergamy isn't intended to function in the context of marriage. Certainly, because of social and cultural norms and pressures, hypergamy may have an effect on choice of marriage partner. But ultimately, hypergamy is about choice in sexual matings. Hypergamy exists because women are limited in their reproducti…

Well, I must admit, being non-judgmental and how exactly to do that (especially in a RP context) is relatively new to me, and I struggle with some of the same issues that you bring up. I agree completely that telling your SO how you feel can be difficult to do in a way that doesn't come off emotional, touchy-feely, or weak. However, I do believe that I can tell my wife that I find her behavior unacceptable, that it doesn't meet my expectations, or even maybe how I feel about her behavior without…

Don't think this has much to do with red pill, though. IMO, it has to do with red pill because it's about alpha behaviors. I'm sure there are plenty of alphas who act like judgmental assholes and probably do quite well with the ladies. However, IMO the guys that do best with ladies (and especially at maintaining LTRs) are the ones that not only maintain their frame extremely well, but are very non-judgmental of others.

I completely see what you are saying, and I think that a lot of people probably can and do fall into the trap of using the idea of not caring what others say to ignore criticism from others and rationalize away failures. However, IMO, that's not the way the idea is supposed to work. Being the ultimate judge of your actions doesn't mean that you don't listen to what others have to say about you. It just means that you still get to be the ultimate judge.
/r/MarriedRedPill14/04/15 06:16 PM

Absolutely agree with you about the double edged sword bit - "Don't judge me!" is often just shorthand for "I know I am fucking up, but would appreciate it if you didn't call me on it." Actually, one of the things the author talks about in WISNIFG, is that if you realize that you are the ultimate judge of you, then it becomes much easier to admit that you fucked up. After all, everyone fucks up - it doesn't make them a bad person. It doesn't even make their fucked up actions 'bad'.

I would argue that the problem with most sources that TRP would be opposed to is that they tend to focus on how you can make the other person happier. Love Languages, His Needs Her Needs, Dr. Nerdlove, even The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands (which is a fairly RP book) are all very focused on what your SO wants in a relationship. The problem with that is if you are reading these books, it's most likely because you are unhappy with the relationship and want MORE (more something) from your pa…

I wouldn't say that 'jealousy' is necessarily healthy. But I think that if your partner isn't good enough for the potential for jealousy, then the relationship is going to be very one sided. Of course, if a partner is good enough for the potential for jealouy to exist, then inevitably it occasionally will. So maybe you are correct. I think the difference is that TRP advocates actions with the specific intent of creating jealousy. In most cases, I would argue that actions (like improving yourself…

It's not failures there are necessarily needed (although that would help). What's really needed is the number of studies that tried each method. According to the study, the most successful method was 'talking' with 10 successful cases. But if 65 of the cases tried 'talking', and only in 10 cases did it work, then that's really not a very successful method. Alternatively, if 5 cases tried TRP, and all 5 cases experience success, the TRP is the bomb.

I'm fit, dress well, have good hygiene, get good attention from other members of the opposite sex, am socially adept, successful, and don't put her on a pedestal or do any other behaviors that might turn her off (e.g., d…

/but that's different! She's entitled to communication, he isn't entitled to sex! Without using the word 'entitled' my wife has made this very argument during one of our many 'talks' about the lack of sex. I pointed out that her love language is quality time, and that if I stopped talking to or hanging out with her, but otherwise was a good husband, she would have a serious problem with our relationship. Her answer was that communication is the cornerstone of a good relationship. Sex is not.

Do you have some kind of source to back that up. People say this all the time on TRP, but I've never actually seen any concrete proof. In my experience, women are pretty good at describing what they like. They just always feel embarrassed or shamed to talk about that type of thing, since they're shamed from a very young age about their sexuality. O.k. I will change my statement to most women are not very good at explaining what floats their boat, either because they don't understand themselves, …

This is actually a great response, but it's not as easy as you suggest. A key requirement for such communication to work is that the partner that is withholding sex understands what drives their attraction. Many women really don't understand what floats their own boat. My wife is no exception; she is not very good at, or eager to engage in, introspection. Nothing wrong with that - that's just the way she is.

I've heard this complaint before. But the truth is that if you are married, in some regard you are entitled to sex. Maybe not to sex in any one instance, or any time you want it, but you are entitled to have sex on a fairly regular basis. The same goes for the other side, however. Many people believe they are entitled to the loyalty of their partner. Again, I believe they are right. When you enter into marriage, you agree to only have your sexual needs met by your partner. Thus, there is an agre…

Yeah, I'm a theory guy too. My Ph.D. is in optimal behavior (including game theory) in animals. Your wife has some sort of BDSM thing going on. If your wife is more sexually controlling/aggressive when she's uninhibited (say, when you guys have both had a few drinks), it may be worth exploring this. The way I have always looked at it is such: Women have traditionally been the gate-keepers to sex. This is an evolutionary argument - sex for women (prior to birth control) has always been an expensive proposition. Having children is 'expensive', so women choose their partners carefully so that if they do get pregnant it is from a 'high quality' genetic source. Consequently, if a man has a high partner count, he must be a high quality man - otherwise how was he able to secure so many matings. Me…

Generally, you should really try to get away from 'punishing' your wife for her behavior. The key is 'don't reward bad behavior'. Punishment can actually be another form of reward. The classic example is the child that throws a tantrum. If you turn and scream at the child for throwing the tantrum then, you have 'rewarded' the behavior by 1. giving the child attention, and 2. showing them that their behavior can affect you. Instead, if you just completely ignore the child, the child will learn (o…

OI means 'outcome independence'. It means that if she doesn't do what you ask, don't get mad, angry, pouty, or any other unattractive trait. Just shrug it off. Especially in your case, if she doesn't do what you ask, it may not be because she isn't attracted enough to you or want to please you. Careful with this one, as it could be a 'comfort test' (as opposed to a shit test). She see's that you are improving yourself. She's thinking that you're maybe preparing to leave her. She's realizing that without you, she has absolutely no one to turn to for comfort and support. That doesn't mean that you should solve her problem for her - if she wants more friends, she can make them. However, you also shouldn't just blow her off. Instead, validate her feelings ("it can be tough to make and main…

This is the gold standard of dread game. It makes it even better that he doesn't know what it is (at least the name) and isn't doing it intentionally. He knows what it is and he knew what he was doing. He states in his OP that he read MMSLP and NMMNG. TRP to the rescue....

During one particularly bad shit test, in which she was really trying to either 1. get me to do what she wanted me to do, or 2. get sucked into a fight (or both), she hauled off and smacked me on my bare back as hard as she could. Talk about making it hard to maintain your frame.....

O.k. Let's see if this helps. I'll use a somewhat counter-example to explain my point. My wife is a very negative person. I could try to do something to make her happy, but it doesn't matter what I do, she will remain unhappy. She has decided to be pissy, negative, and a downer. She is Outcome Independent of my actions. She still loves me and I still love her, but her mood and her actions are not affected by what I do. The key is to realize one important truth: only YOU have the power to make yo…

Outcome independence means that you are indifferent to her actions, not to her as a person. You love her. You desire her. But her actions will not affect you emotionally. That's what it means to be a rock. Women do things to try to manipulate your emotions. They will find you most attractive if you are resistant to such efforts. That's really what amused mastery is all about: it amuses you that she is trying to manipulate you. It's the same when dealing with kids. You can't let them see how irri…

Absolutely I would get married again. Marriage gets such a bad rap on this forum, but that's probably because so many of us were beta when we were married. Yes 50% of all marriages end in divorce. But that means that 50% of all marriages make it! Not only that, but that 50% divorce rate is based on all marriages - the problem with that is that people who get divorced once are more likely to get divorced if they remarry. In actuality, only about 30% of first marriages end in divorce. Furthermore,…

This is the problem. She is bitchy because it gets you to lose frame. When she rejects you, act like you don't care. Hmmm. I'm not sure I understand you on this. Can you expand. In your OP, you mentioned: My wife used to make a false accusation that used to really get to me. I wanted her to stop it. So how is my situation (my wife's bitchy during a rejection, I tell her she's crossed a boundary and walk away), different from your situation (your wife makes a false accusation, you tell her you wo…

This is a great post, and one I definitely needed to read. I will admit (after having read this) that I'm not very good at enforcing my boundaries, for the reasons you mention - I too often try to use words instead of actions to enforce my boundaries. However, there is one place in our relationship where lately I've been very good (and consistent) about enforcing my boundaries, but I have a question about the result. Specifically, my wife has this nasty habit of rejecting sex in a very bitchy wa…

Man here. It's true that a man does not need compliments for his actions. However, if I don't feel like my actions are appreciated, then I'm going to pursue my purpose and goals with someone else.

Yeah context really matters. You would be a fool to turn down your wife if she clearly indicated that she wanted sex with you. However, if you initiated, she turned you down, you were OI and walked away, but she came back and said something like, "Well if you are going to pout like a baby then lets go in the bedroom and get this over with". I would definitely turn that shit down. Similarly, let's say you initiated, and she says something like "I'm not really in the mood, but we can do this if it…

where the guy constantly needs the woman's approval, and he so badly want to build a great future that he becomes so anxious to make sure his partner is happy, doesn't lead because he doesn't want to make mistakes, practically treats her like she's incredibly better than him and has this weird self-pity/shame when his partner isn't happy, or other forms of being needy and insecure Ugh. This was me. Thanks for reminding me what not to slip back into. It's tough finding a man who can both be respo…

The sad truth is that most men who stumble on the red pill aren't actually mad at women. Women may bear the brunt of that anger, but it's misdirected. The truth is that men who discover the red pill are actually angry at themselves. They always knew the red pill truth at some level. How can anyone deny that the strongest, most attractive, most outgoing guys get the girl? Did they not go to high-school? Have they never seen a teen movie? They are mad at themselves for allowing themselves to be de…

While I completely agree with most of the ladies saying just don't do it with guys you are dating, I will mention that there are ways of doing it in committed relationship that minimizes the possibility of the pictures getting out in the open. My wife sends me sexy selfies using Wickr. It works very well to protect her (and me). The photo can only be seen while I hold my finger on the screen (so I can't do a screen capture, although I could use another camera to take a pic of my screen I guess).…

The male lion does not cry over the antelope that he must eat in order to survive. He does not regret the other male lions he must maim or even kill in order to pass on his genes. He does what he is driven to do without reservation or regret. The morality you feel is (primarily) a socially engendered trait. Nature is red in tooth and claw.

Well personally, it sounds like your marriage may not be worth maintaining. If I was in your shoes, with your marriage, and no kids, I'm not sure I would keep at it. So why do you stay? Obviously, she's got some good qualities, or you wouldn't still be there. As to your question, it's still your fault. You've been working so hard on being a better man and on improving your marriage, what else can you do? Give her time. It took you time to get in this situation, it's going to take time for her to…

Not to be an asshole, but why do you say 'besides working out'? Are you working out? Working out will do more to make you feel, appear, and act masculine than just about anything else you could do. Who cares if you aren't tall? That means you will be able to put on noticeable muscle easier. Who cares if you are small boned? Again, that means that small gains in muscle mass will be more noticeable. You need to work out. Now, if you are already working out, then something that will make you feel m…

RP Man here married to a BP woman. I've been trying to improve myself and my marriage, and make my marriage more RP, for 2+ years now. A relevant incident happened to me last night that perfectly captures what is being discussed in this thread. Yesterday was my birthday. My wife and kids were great, and nice, and kind to me all day. My wife had bought me some great presents that I really wanted. She bought a great steak (which I grilled) and she cooked up some very tasty side dishes. She also bo…
