How? No one makes enough money now. Two income households are practically mandatory now.

No. Completely irrelevant. It really is.

I feel like Tim Roth in Reservoir Dogs being convinced of wanting my money back for the TIP. That response hit me out of nowhere. What a fucking legendary take on this topic, IMO. Never looked at it that way.

That’s one small part of a larger problem of a lack of empathy. I run into dozens of men, women, girls, boys every day and it’s clear to me that most don’t care much about the problems of others.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/22 01:30 AM

Are people in general becoming less empathetic? D’yeah.

Oh yeah, I don’t think we live in a pure patriarchy or matriarchy.

They do, but more men are also at the absolute bottom end of society. Men’s IQs are more widely distributed than women’s as well. Not to mention that very few women are insane enough to put in the hours that some men like Bill Gates or Zuckerberg have to become ultra powerful. It’s not as simple as “society just chose to place them there because they are male.”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 04:12 PM

It depends on why are you constantly saying “I love you.” If she can tell it’s because you genuinely, deeply love her than it won’t be a negative. If you constantly say it because you’re insecure and afraid of losing her, than yeah, it will be a negative.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 05:50 PM

No one owes you anything, ever. The sooner you accept that, the happier you’ll be. Guys on here constantly complain about girls and hypergamy, while simultaneously saying what you just said. He can always leave her for someone new. She can always leave you for someone better.

No one is owed anything. Everyone, men and women, reserve the right to change their mind and leave you whenever they please. The sooner people accept that, the less hurt they will be if it happens to them.

I think that depends on the age of the kids as well. I don’t know what statistics would suggest, but I bet divorcing when kids are really young affects them differently than divorcing when they are going through puberty.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/21 06:08 PM

I see, so you mean for them to be openly polygamous, but remain together? I think that could work, but I don’t know how common it is that both partners are fine with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/21 06:06 PM
3

No, probably not, but it seems to be a strong indicator for it. Everyone’s parents, even the best, are going to damage their kids in some way. However, I can promise you that I can almost always pick out the kids with divorced parents or broken homes or being raised by the grandparents. My point still stands: people divorce too quickly, too easily and barely consider their kids. Some magazine or celeb says what you just said and some lady thinks that this means her kids will be fine if she divor…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/21 05:54 PM

Yeah, divorce might be a preferable choice there, but the best choice would be to wait to have kids until you know you can stick with the other parent in a respectful way. Out of every class of 25 or so that I teach, maybe 2-3 kids live with both of their parents. And guess what? I can almost always pick them out because they are the most composed and usually some of the most emotionally sound.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/21 05:47 PM

I’m a teacher. I will tell you something a lot of people don’t want to hear... Divorce and blended families and all the other stuff that comes with it, messes kids up far more than people like to think. I see it every day. I am not a conservative person, but I think when you decide to have kids you need to try all you can to remain monogamous and make it work.

I’m a guy, so take what I say with a grain of salt as I haven’t dated any men, BUT I have met quite a few (still rare though) guys who are incredibly loyal from as far as I could tell. However, with many of them I have also noticed they are very cold personalities. Not mean or anything, but the type of person to answer “I don’t really like music” when you ask them what their favorite type of music is. Very anecdotal, I know, but that’s a pattern I’ve noticed.

I don’t see how those are the elephant in the room. I think you’re listing more reasons. They all add up and in some cases multiply one another. For example, women’s standards climbing unreasonably high while almost half of men are obese or overweight doesn’t mix well.

Social Media does pressure people to look better, but often the representations are unrealistic/dishonest and people start feeling discouraged and therefore don’t stick to working out in the long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/21 07:58 PM

What? I’m not saying none of these can be helped/improved or undone, but they are the reasons why men aren’t getting laid as much.

It means a lot to me when considering a long term relationship, but it only becomes relevant after I already find the woman attractive physically.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/21 01:30 PM

Because men get bitter when women don’t declare them as alpha fuck machines. They all want to be “Chads”, but get mad when women choose “Chads” over them. From King Lear: “Thou rascal beadle, hold thy bloody hand! Why dost thou lash that whore? Strip thine own back; Thou hotly lust'st to use her in that kind For which thou whipp'st her.”

They don’t want to be single, they just all want the same 6 guys, basically. I wouldn’t just get with some random girl just so I wouldn’t be alone either if I don’t find her attractive at all.

I’m not saying that women don’t do any of this, I’m just saying that if I hear someone say “bro I’m spinning plates” I immediately think they are morons. It’s a prejudice I hold.

I do think that women who’ve gone through a hardship in their past are less superficial in character, but isn’t that everyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 11:06 AM

I don’t think it’s evil and I don’t know what the future will hold, though I think it’s not going to be pleasant for most men because of it. That being said, if a woman is attracted to a more attractive man and wants to leave, then how can you really be angry? It’s nature. We have to accept that some men are genetically inferior and some superior to us as individuals. And before someone says “stop with this male genetic bullshit, women care about personalities just as much!”, I would say that is…

I disagree in every way. You lose if you don’t play and rot away in loneliness. Happiness is only real when shared. If you truly love someone and they cheat, you have to find out why and then come to a decision, but my ego isn’t that big that I don’t think my girl would ever not find another man attractive. The potential for cheating is always there, but you can still be in a relationship and rest easy knowing that all humans are flawed and that cheating isn’t always done out of resentment for t…

Dude, I respect your opinion. Most of the guys in here don’t actually care about the N count because of something it says about the girl, they are insecure when a woman has had many sexual partners because they can’t bare the thought of their girl having enjoyed sex with someone else. Women like sex. Big fucking surprise. She will likely not have been a slut just for you, fella. What you want is her to never want to be a slut for anyone else again. Why? I mean, in general, sure, but to completely drop them purely based on that alone makes me think that it’s just because your ego is too fragile to handle that she was with other men before you. People can change. People can learn from their past and grow. These generalizations that apply to all without giving the benefit of the doubt are narrow minded.

Yes, definitely. I think once you get into a long term relationship looks become secondary (not insignificant), but good looks open the door or open the door more quickly to conversation and going out in the first place, so if you’re online dating and you’re not hot, you will obviously have a harder time since you can’t really showcase your other qualities other than with gimmicks.

At 5’6, I can see why he started to go down the black pill rabbit hole. I will say, I actually think the black pill (incel worldview) holds a lot of merit in that it stresses the importance of looks in a way that is much closer to reality than the red or blue pill ideologies portray it. Does that mean it’s completely correct? Yes, I believe it. All it takes is him believing he can line a bunch of other girls up. Or, in your case, maybe he genuinely just didn’t think you were a cool person. Sometimes people legitimately don’t blend well. I definitely don’t think one gender is much better than the other when it comes to our own egos getting in the way of things.

Any girl complaining about men using them are acting like it’s all men doing it, but they allow themselves to be used by certain men and not by others. That’s the difference and it makes both genders look bad because if ugly men could pump and dump at will, they’d do it too. It is funny, though, that women will complain about men as whole, when in reality they only mean the men that they allowed to use them. They thought they were special enough to tie the guy down and end up having their ego br…

I definitely look back at some of my relationships and consider some of my behaviors as “beta”, beta in the sense that I was making suboptimal decisions and acted like a bitch. However, at the time I didn’t know and it wasn’t until I learned how to manage certain situations that I realized what the better behavior was. So in a really simplistic way an example would be: jealousy = beta, not getting jealous and being confident or aware that you can’t control other people’s behavior = alpha. Howeve…

It’s a bunch of stuff combined. It’s bad because of that. Fatter, less masculine, public education is getting shittier and shittier so the are dumber, lack of social skills, porn addictions, inflated female egos because the average girl can get an army of simps with a few feet pics and cosplay photo OPs, hypergamy, women making more money, women being more likely to graduate, etc etc etc, need I go on?

I totally agree, but wouldn’t you agree that most men or at least many men could fuck a girl and never see her again and be totally fine? Like, we can fuck and not even know the girl’s name. Therefore, when we fuck, it doesn’t always mean something. We can love our girl and then fuck another girl just because we enjoy fucking and that’s that. Not even discussing the idea that you could LOVE more than one girl, because that’s another subject, but why couldn’t you? If you have three kids you love …
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/21 03:58 AM

Why do women short-circuit when you say that you can love her and fuck other women without it diminishing your love for her? Does that make sense? A dude can fuck a girl and not even know her name. That doesn’t mean he now loves his girl less. Look up Patrice O’Neal girl behind dumpster joke for a comical representation of this question.

So many good reasons why dating 20-23 year olds is better and you chose none of them. Weird reason given.

I’m not saying it can’t happen, but again, your solution only makes it MORE likely that she will cheat or even if you are controlling enough to prevent it, it’s too much of a headache to be worth it. Worrying day and night about her getting fucked is as bad as her getting fucked. If she wants to cheat, she’ll find a way.

I don’t disagree with everything in this post, but the takeaway of not trusting your girlfriend is very wrong. If you treat your girlfriend well, you can trust that she won’t throw the relationship away for a quick fling. By treat her well I also mean that you don’t sit on your ass all day, you stand up for yourself, you are passionate, you don’t whine and complain constantly, you don’t let yourself go and you keep learning so that you keep yourself interesting. She will be extremely unlikely to…

That’s undoubtedly possible and maybe it’s a combination of both, but if you are correct, wouldn’t that mean that everything we find physically attractive is social conditioning? I just can’t imagine that.

All of the comments talking about self improvement are only half right. Yes, seeking to continually improve will make you more confident, more virtuous, etc., but in the long term it also feels hollow if there is nothing more substantial behind it. I really think men struggle more with a lack of intimacy than women do (not that it’s easy for them by any means in that regard) and the greatest natural motivator for men to excel at other things is women. So once a man realizes he’s basically had th…

That doesn’t even make sense. So I’m narcissistic on the behalf of others? As I said, I have never lied about commitment in order to get laid. I’m not defending my own behavior here.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 02:58 AM
1

Self esteem cannot be fully internalized or externalized. It’s a combination of both. Yes you CAN live a happy life without sex, of course, but it’s one of the fundamental parts of being and being without it is not preferable. Happiness is only real when shared goes the quote and I think it holds true. You have to have some form of intimacy with other people, sexual or otherwise, to attain true fulfillment and again, when you are ugly, you will have a much harder time not just in your love life,…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 01:12 AM

Firstly, I’m not talking about me here. Secondly, not getting laid means more than just a lack of sex. That intimacy you speak of is absent also. There are men and women out there who will never be loved by anyone. That’s just a fact of life. If we talk about this from a purely biological perspective and talk about the actual reason for sex and intimacy, the passing on of one’s genes, one could argue that being clever instead of handsome or strong could be an advantage. That’s a very cold and cy…

Yes, but that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying if he openly says he will continue to sleep with and date other women. As women here have said themselves, good looking men can be honest about that and still get laid. They don’t need to lead anyone on. Some still do, but that’s a whole different problem.

Well, let me ask you this, what’s the alternative for a man who looks like George Costanza?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 09:43 PM

I agree, but don’t you also think that there is something within us (not just in regards to cheating) that wants to break the rules just to break them. We’re mischievous and curious and adventurous and easily bored and impulsive and a constant work in progress. I’m not arguing that doing so is moral in any way, but I’m just not quick to dismiss them as amoral in a black and white manner.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 01:58 AM
3

Okay so in that case we do disagree, because I think at least 51 percent of the population is capable, willing or prone to cheating. Much more if you ask me, but certainly MOST.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 01:41 AM
3

It depends on what you define as moral. I think the average human being is good at heart, if that’s what you mean, but I also don’t think that someone who cheats is evil anyway so... I do think it’s hard to find men who would not be tempted under any circumstance. Most people can be seduced into doing something that will either hurt them or the person they’re with. It’s humbling, but in my opinion, very human.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 01:37 AM

You disagree with that? I’m confused.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 01:34 AM

I think you have to be a top notch man or woman to be able to not settle. On top of that it also takes luck because you have to find the fucker first.

Moral men or women. It’s called the narrow path for a reason. Most people don’t walk it and those who do rarely stay on it consistently. It’s difficult, treacherous and you’re constantly tempted at every turn to abandon it and give into all of your weaknesses. In that regard, sex plays little to no role.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 01:31 AM

I think the vast majority of people settle. Men settle for different reasons than women, most of the time, I think.

I agree with your assessment, but I don’t agree that it makes them worse... I’ve never had to lie to get laid, but if I NEVER got laid unless I had to lie to get it, I wouldn’t feel bad. Most guys that are ugly or broke want to fuck as many girls as a hot or rich dude, BUT because they are limited in options, you would be more likely to find a loyal guy if you were the hotter one in the relationship. There are so many reasons why men are attracted to younger women and the other way around, some of them being: Younger women are... younger, so often more beautiful and less likely to have had a ton of partners (yes, of course there are exceptions, don’t yell at me.) Younger women are more easily impressed or if you want to put it another way, are often less of a pain in the ass and high maintenance than an older woman. 30 and 22 is not predatory... people on Reddit think every thing is a woke problem. Men are behind in emotional development and maturity, usually, so it’s not surprising to me when women date up in age. Now, if the age game is 20+ years, then of course it has little to do with that. That being said, my mother is 10 years older than my father. She was not a predator at all. He pursued her all the way.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/20 05:05 PM
