If he hasn’t complained about it and he’s not a pushover, then he’s probably feeling secure financially, and him paying for things is very likely no problem for him. However if he blows up about it later, just expect that this is mostly a cultural thing, most western men expect 50/50, and it’s not really acceptable in naturalization in the US to make an American do something that they don’t believe in especially from countries with different culture.

In men’s TRP space, that’s kinda what they’re going for - marriage under gov is a scam, acceptance men are never going to be loyal to one woman, only the woman should be, and that is to be enforced by him in a way she cannot go any further up the him against the hypergamy drive through advice like make her feel perpetual “dread” etc. This makes men circle back to justifying retiring their 30 something woman who stopped being fun and hot, regardless if she were a “ride or die” woman or not. It’ll…

That’s really disrespectful. Beauty & looks are a soft spot for most women (unless your bf knows absolutely nothing about you at all) he would have known that and used that to try and beat you down with it, he knows you could find something hurtful to tell him too but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt you don’t. I think the feeling you have is that from that beg experience, your trust in him with your private life & insecurities has been broken. I’ve had my share of this commentary in life …

OP just wanted to say women are hoes & men are noble with “sources” that holds water like a sieve. There’s been much evidence provided to this (and the contrary) in this sub so can give OP some merit for trying to find new attack points.

Yeah I don’t get why OP fixated on men being more devout when “reformed women” are also flocking to these places (to find a chump). I think it’s nearly been 3 yrs since the resurgence of Catholicism/Christianity in the West kicked in and I look forward to the hard numbers on churchgoers background, facets of SM influence and retention rates, especially on the Gen Z demographic.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 05:13 AM

Gen Z are turning to Catholicism because it’s “aesthetic” faith, your average Christian church doesn’t even have half the optics. The decline is probably the fact that social media is overstating their devoutness - he/she turns up to Mass 3 or 4 times a year until the enthusiasm dies, posts a Story then radio silence. These articles are not enough to extrapolate the current state of Christianity/Catholicism in men. Way too loose, especially with the insane turnover rate in the first article, 1% …

I don’t think he’s aware he is writing about himself being offended that low value women are interested in him, he could have instead just wrote about how some of these women he’d have no access to are poor at selecting. But I think that could have opened up to him to realising there’s no point worrying about what women higher SMV were doing, focus interest on the pitfalls of women who have always been at accessible at his SMV but then there would be no cathartic pity thread. The hot Stacey was …

Single mothers are low on the totem pole, that’s what you’re offended by. You’re not thinking about them like “a concerned citizen”, you’re thinking about you, admit that, Her “best” that she “gave away” was her at a SMV well above yours in the present, she was never going to give it to you then, so you need to explain why that her at a current lower SMV actually makes you angry & jealous. In another universe she’d have rejected you, and chosen a better Chad. At best if she were a lower SMV pers…

Things you can’t control: - what he does Things you can control: - weight loss - keeping it off - looking nice - where you put your attention Honestly if I were you I’d have zero interest being intimate with a cheater but you seem to want it still for some reason, is that really true or do you want him to fail at another thing so you feel you got another reason to leave? Coz he’s pretty much a fail already, you don’t need to convince yourself any more, especially if “he never found you attractiv…

I agree - that sub contains the type of people who will go “break up!!!” to 99% of the relationship posts, but if you survey the humans around you offline, they’d offer at least half hearted solutions to find amends in the relationship. I don’t even know who would tell anyone to choose illness/death over buying meds from a MAGA business. Everyone knows there’s more MAGA supporting businesses than you can reasonably avoid, try Amazon, Twitter, Facebook/Meta, Boeing, Uber, Johnson & Johnson, Veriz…

Imagine a scenario you are unemployed for the unforeseeable future. Do you have to accept your partner’s purchasing choices until you land a job? It’s ok if you do, just curious about what brought you to your solution, especially as you identify with BP.

Hey, you’re moving the goal posts now, the hypothetical population of POC in this sub wasn’t part of the discussion. I’m not engaging with that paragraph. I will engage on the second paragraph - for a lot of anxious, depressed men, “engaging in society” is really scary, their worth is judged by men & women alike and it’s hard to make friends. Depression, anxiety feeling like you’re not good enough is not just a women’s only problem. Internet circles are scooping up men like this because that’s w…

His point wasn’t about how those are unimportant, it’s that amongst the interest in helping those who are struggling, men & young men are ignored. Anyone try to guess when Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month is without googling. It’s so broad, and now we celebrate lgbt all year round, immigrants & refugees are getting protested for, we have Women’s Day, Women’s awards & ceremonies for achievement despite hardships. That’s lovely, honestly I’m sure OP agrees, but men are more dependant on quality…

It seems often the choice between wearing a beard or not is based on two factors: - can I grow a nice dense beard? No? Ok I’m going to hide that by shaving. - Do I have a jaw I think is nice looking? No? Ok I’ll grow a beard. Both a form of “deception”. Third option “because I like how I look with it/without it” or “it’s to look tidy & professional for work” is off the table because that’s what women say they wear make up for.

That’s such a niche case not worth arguing. At absolute worst case 1 in 100 women ages 18-30 you’ll meet are going to be an OF streamer expecting a husband at 120k/yr. And who the hell in social-tech collapse these days is having 100 first dates with anyone to meet an OF streamer, bar the rare individual himself.

You don’t have to get married, and more women are getting into it, especially if they really like you anyway, women will just succumb to that. You can be bf/gf and have a family, and then you can just walk away when you want to, and she can’t chase you down for alimony, just the child support.

Based on your financial situation, is totally reasonable to tell him you can’t afford it right now, that you will save up, and that he is welcome to visit any time he likes in the mean time. It’d be inappropriate to ask for any more because he already paid for a bunch of things. It’s just how it is when there’s a difference in earnings, some things you have to sit out on whether you like it or not. Also from hereon, I’d think it’s best you two agreed to only pay for your own things for as long a…

Basically fundamental, core principles, as per Maslows Hierarchy, once you get past food, water and sleep. Billions of us just live within the means of those three, so it’s sad to think that so many live years without anything much higher.

Neither of you bridging the distance by now is the first problem that bringing up all these other problems. He will use long distance as an excuse to delay marriage, and I’ve heard the excuse “want more money to support” but this is just a carrot on the stick nonsense, you could be together for a decade and unwed because when is “enough”. He could make $200k and still be afraid to be married and have kids. He’s not telling the real root of the issue.

Am I the only one who hasn’t overlooked that you are the primary breadwinner here? I get that men are poor at dealing with babies but you can’t RP this type of arrangement. He needs to participate if he’s got this free time. So you have 24/7 duty to the baby, and paying bills for the three of you. While I agree it’s not natural for most men to wanna be around babies, to the point they’re exhausted by them and don’t wanna be around them. But I think if you can non-violently (saying I Feel rather …

I feel like a lot of replies here aren’t from this sub, just got recommended by the algorithm coz they follow other relationship subs.. This is something sobering about the RP ideology. You’re a woman who is not a wife, and there’s no clear demarcation what wife activities you do for him, or what husband activities he does for you in this “trial phase”. In the 21st century most women work full time and provide for themselves, and therefore the man can sit back and put his feet up on that respons…

I’m sorry to hear that someone you once loved, decides to message you just to use you as a punching bag for things he feels small or hurt about. I don’t think you need to entertain this shell of a human any longer, he’s not your boyfriend anymore. You can’t find a better man if you’re still chatting with ex’s. It opens a huge space to find someone more suitable once they’re 100% cut out no contact, whether the ending was amicable or not. Also it’s not right to say a particular ideology is the ca…

Just to chime in on the “taking a break thing”.. I dunno why this idea ever became a thing in dating culture, because there will be many times in your relationship things are going to get hard. You guys can’t default to having a break (essentially abandoning each other) each time something goes wrong. He may be making big losses at his company and you’re stressed about it so you abandon him as support by not listening to him vent or helping him launder the clothes & get adequate nutrition? You m…

Seems like a well reasoned trajectory and glad you two discussed this - and congratulations, bride to be! Looking down the barrel of the next 2-3 years is kinda intimidating, but I think you two will figure it out as you go, more or less, nothing you decide today has to be set in stone, but I advise you take your husbands final say on whether you continue the career or not. So I wouldn’t stress on the details like how much you work, or if you rather pause and do 100% family for a while etc, it’s…

The more important factor I think is being fun & child like vs motherly vs older woman. I bet most men have all 3 on rotation in their porn folders. College girls, mommies and older women porn I think are pretty common, and I think the reason is clear. I also read you have to be all 3 at the same time, in the correct way, for a happy relationship: - be child like: when you’re having fun, playing around and joking with your husband, rather than getting annoyed with him or interrupting a humorous …

Before reading the text wall: I was formally out climbing the ladder for independence, also from a similar background to you and have happily let it go. I believe there’s an element of a misappropriated feeling of being a burden that gets transformed into a sort of personal “transgression”, based on experience living with a mum who did everything without a man, the breadwinner and stood in for the man who abandoned or neglected the family. I resonate, I also just had sisters. Your mum had a hard…

It seems unfortunately for you, your life path has set you where you are not married this year, and probably no babies next year, or maybe even 3+ yrs. That’s just something you may have to accept. I get it’s tough, like yeah, it’d have been nice to find your man at 22 and be done making kids at 26 or something. & Yeah, as others said, you’ll be hard pressed to find the right Muslim guy for you (hardcore ones won’t want a casual observer, and you don’t want a casual observer). I’d look into why …

There’s almost no exceptions that he didn’t confide with family or friends about you. He ought to be proud of himself he’s located “the one”, because men who are sure of themselves take pride in knowing they’re moving up in the world (including having recruited the support of a intimate companion!). Fair enough to have some reservations coz of the long distance, but in future, if you meet someone else long distance, do not agree to being bf/gf until you have a set plan how to close the gap. Like…

You seem uncomfortable but can you explain your ideal situation? I know you want him to do what he dreams but if you wanted to make this situation better, what would you want? Like make a list, I’ll just guess but you can correct me. For example: - he’s finished studying and he has a job - he’s told you this week he wants to marry you at 28 yrs old - he introduces you to your parents I ask this coz I don’t understand what you’re looking for in him. I think between now and early 30s he’ll be thin…

Just as a heads up, the USD won’t be much use to you to pay bills until it’s converted, and you’ll pay for the currency conversion fees anyway. You may also pay 1000 euros for the trip, he sends you $550 USD coz that’s what 500 euro was worth on that day, and then when you convert the $500USD like 2 days later, you only get like 385 euros coz the value went down, so that doesn’t help with your bills crisis much at all Glad to hear he helped pay for it with you in the end, it would have been real…

Do you do “aftercare “after you’ve been degraded? I read that is necessary to do, to confirm that what happened was only for the bedroom and not how they think of you all the time. This is stuff like hugs/cuddles, saying nice compliments unrelated to the event, going out for ice cream, whatever your love language is. Rather than you just get degraded, and he ends the night with “thanks honey” and leaves you alone in the dust. I think that’s the least he could do.

Who does the cooking in the house? He’s having more calories than he burns, I’d start there, as that’s really the one thing the woman has most control. I get that you’re probably working full time right now too, but if you’re not already I think you should become the one who manages the food 100%, and excellent practice to show you can be an effective mother. I’ve seen enough videos of SAHMs preparing processed garbage for their husbands to take to work. Portion your boyfriend’s meals, reduce ju…

Hey, I talked to people like this and you can be blinded by the first person who comes at you being “super sweet & nice” and validating your existence, when everyone overlooked you before or treated you like you weren’t important in their life. It’s a trap, don’t fall for it! The kinda guy you’re looking for DOES exist, you just gotta search a little longer and be ok being single a lil while longer. It sounds rough to ask her to postpone it, I dunno how many things she booked but it may cost her to cancel some things and book elsewhere. And she may have booked a table on Saturday, asks if she can book next Saturday and find out they’re booked out for the rest of the year. Booking leave is also hard. I get the vibe you’re immensely introverted and the type to get a lot of relief when social obligations are cancelled, like this speech is probably a lot for you. If this is true, it sucks your …

You could sell them in bulk if they all have no flaws. You may not get as much as selling them individually, but you’ll get some money and clear up the tension in your relationship. There’s consignment stores for 2nd hand fashion, you bring the whole lot and they skim through and give you a price for the lot.

Reading the comments, its kinda sad to hear your family & and your partner have different opinions. This is gonna be hard on you for a long time. I can imagine this could make your parent’s perspective on your partner very poor, and he risks a self fulfilling prophecy where you may actually have to leave him (due to family tension). And this can be a problem for practically any woman he dates, as I imagine it’s uncommon for women in the area to be comfortable with that arrangement, or their pare…

I think that’s great advice and that “risk” of non-reciprocation seems pretty minor as it could be mitigated pretty easy by checking in with yourself if you felt your needs met, and communicating clearly to the date/partner if anything is missing and seeing if they were comfortable to meet it.

I think a core element of femininity is humility. Men & women have masculine & feminine inside but if you can grasp what areas in your life require humility, I think you’ll stay on the path. It can be surprising where a deficit in humility can show up! It’s not just about not being vain in your looks. It can be humility in needing to be dependant on your partner sometimes (as some femininity can be lost being attempting a pure form of independent “girl boss” which could inadvertently manifest to…

Maybe it’s good to play out in your head what will happen to you when you turn 30, and you’re not married yet? Will you resent him? Or will you being 35 when you’re married feel just as good as getting married at 29? If you will feel resentment towards this man, then it’s more important to you than you think and yours and his values aren’t aligning. You would understand, no good relationship should have a thread of resentment. I used to want to be married before 30 too, but I played the scenario…

Haha I got confused by the responses for a bit, did you accidentally put the wrong ages on the guys? It’s all good - I think the Christian guy sounds like a better match for you. Number 1 thing is shared values, good communication can be learned, but values are 1000x harder to convince a change (in either yourself, or him) no matter how much it pains you. Christian guy sounds cranky but before marrying him see if you can get communication training with him, so both of you have more peaceful conf…

Are you familiar with the Animus, or Animus projection? Or open to check it out? It’s a psychoanalytic theory regarding the inner feminine/inner masculine embedded in us. As an alternative to “get your hormones fixed!” Which is no easy task… I guess one way to put it, is when you experience “feminine” things, do you feel like you lost your dignity? (Like a man would?) things like: - accepting help/assistance? - having to be 100% financially dependent on him, like when you have a child? - having …
