Instead of diving headfirst into something like working out for 4 hours instead of 1, set smaller goals for yourself. This is a tried and true concept practiced my many, I actually learned it from Tim Ferriss. To further illustrate, let's say you're a writer who wants a book written in 3 months. That leaves a lot of room for undetermined factors such as slack, writers block, becoming overwhelmed, all ideas that will weigh heavily on the side of you failing. This consequently will change you over…

Perhaps it's a preference. Build muscle or be able to run longer/have a higher stamina. Why not practice both? To say lifting is a total waste of time yet running marathons isn't is just ignorance. They both play important roles when it comes to exercise.

No comment other than this is extremely biased and objective. Despite the SMV of men peaking ~10 years after women (which I doubt you are referring to) This doesn't mean that women look up to their partner as they age and men look the other way. Besides what's to stop you from saying women don't notice you aging and look to younger men? Double edged sword.

Just goes to show this dude doesn't truly want a girlfriend or anything, he's content with the position he's put himself in whether or not his conscious mind knows it. Can't force someone out of their comfort zone unwillingly without that person reacting spontaneously being like "whoa hey guys look at what this guy's trying to make me do" to his peers who love drama and then you get polarized and kicked in the nuts. That dudes ego is pitiful.

That's exactly what I was thinking, a buddy of mine wants us to talk to him but I already know it won't do anything except create a sense of disapproval which doesn't outweigh his potential score. Sucks cause I already see exactly how she's playing their little relationship hahaha I agree he did the right think but it's kinda a poor position to stick your friend in, I don't know many guys who'd openly say they're not okay with it especially since they've been friends for only a few months, and i…

I 2nd this. If anything, keep connected to the girl (although I personally wouldn't have the time investment for it) while also looking at whats around you in this moment, don't set yourself off limits. Setting yourself off for someone who is far far away and you'll unlikely ever progress to something more serious with can be considered highly irrational. Probably not what you want to hear but it's just the reality of the situation.

already on top of it, those dudes have been fucking girls daily since we were all in high school quite literally. She's likely carrying some bad news with nothing to say but "I feel fine so I am fine" LOL

Truth can be harsh but I'm glad to hear from someone who has been through the same experience more or less. People don't change, especially girls. I wanted to believe the same thing too guess i'll just make the best of what it is. Thanks for the insight man

I apologize, I'm honestly used to only hearing people refer to hooking up as a reference to sex in this area. Yes, we are having sex and with the advice I've gathered I'm just going to keep in route with keeping things strictly that way. I honestly hadn't felt the feeling of oneitus as it took me by surprise but it's safe to say that i've thought and meditated over it to realize that it was a very short term reaction to frustration. I appreciate the insight and will make sure next time to give t…

thank you, the LTR was out of the thoughts after that train. It's only "how do I handle this now" thats left. Thank you though for the words, exactly what I needed to hear.

hooking up, she doesnt see me as an orbiter but if anything we see each other as friends with benefits. LTR is out the window, the multiple guys in one night was after that. It's the truth about her having 0 friends, when i mention social anxiety that's just a symptom i think there's something more serious going on psychologically. Thank you for the words.

Just finished my last book so I'll look into this one and might put it in front of my reading list to start now, thank you.

It has been friendship up until that drunken hookup, the opening up was more her leaning on me and giving vague statements and not so much talking directly to me. I'm aware it's no longer a friendship really which is why I don't exactly know how to go forward. Thank you though for the reminder.

Keeping a cycle that's on track with my goals. I find myself often laying around feeling dead in a destructive way after a couple days of working, it's hard breaking old patterns especially when progress is slow and not very noticeable. Working on it though

Did any of you guys clear up your social media? I know I've made many tweets that would fuck me over from this perspective.

A very good read, I think i'll give that book a look at as well because a stoic and positive mindset is all I could truly use right now. Focusing on myself only is hard because it's hard to tell at times what I like to do with myself, I've become used to just wasting my time away for the most part and I've forgotten what it's like to have real goals that I have set for myself and not goals that are set by teachers and professors (college student). Life's just been low lately, I'm just trying to …

i am, I think I should follow some of the things you did. I've been in the gym and have all my grades in line, I haven't considered studying how the human subconscious works but that would probably work wonders for me.

yeah, i guess I need to reflect a little more through meditation over the next couple weeks because I've been making actions and not as much reflections on those actions to see where the failures lie. Thanks for the insight mane

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
