You might not care, but the people who create entertainment, journalists, executives, and lawmakers hear these voices. Rational people live their day to day lives without shouting to the world all of their crazy rhetoric... if there's no voice they aren't being heard. I think there's a time and a place for all things. I was never taught to be "manly", but I was raised by a single father who probably fits the bill. We could openly discuss anything as a family and my relationship with him became even more emotionally candid later in life. But through his actions and my emulation of them, I gained a lot of respect for stoicism, and understanding that I have control over my emotions.
