Took me a very long time to learn this because my brain has so much trouble believing it could be true.

Not a problem at all. It's only a problem when they are underrepresented in prestigious positions.

Ah yes, the "You did something that made me feel bad so I did something that made you feel bad so we are basically even" stuff

Society used to impose restrictions on behavior like this through social norms, traditions, etc. It was not about "controlling" women it was about ensuring a stable society.

If it was mostly women we would have heard about it.

the only people who would bother to do any of this anyway are people that never would have hurt you in the first place

he was under the impression that men had to "de-escalate" any situation. Correct. Men are supposed to be 'the rock' in a relationship. The stability while the wind whips back and forth. The wind is unfortunately often his spouse.

This has me wondering if men are just supposed to accept little BS like this and not being appreciated if we want to have a family Been wondering the same thing, my dude. Married nearly 20 years. I don't think it's the case 100% of the time. No doubt there are couples out there with a good balance, where the man is respected, and he respects her as well. There is give and take, etc. But I think it's not as common of a thing as we would all like. My guess is that relationships and marriages with …

as long as they extend that same standard to women They will not. You better fucking believe if something negative happened to 81 women, they would absolutely refer to their gender.

The only reason it continues is because the only people affected are male. Therefore the social push to change it will have a very hard time reaching critical mass.

Yeah I don't think Korea needs MORE shit that interferes with having kids to replace the aging population. They better put a stop to this.

in every case like this they are single occupancy with a locked door. So I don't understand why they aren't both 'all gender' restrooms.

I work in tech. I know for a fact that all other things being equal, my company would prefer to hire a woman over a man for the sake of 'greater diversity' and you better believe thousands of companies are out there doing the same thing.

It's the safe option because no one stands up for men like they do for women.

Reddit and most of online media is just a bad habit...... a procrastinators paradise Truer words have not been spoken. I've taken a half measure on this; I've unsubscribed from the very large subs. So far my experience has been a lot better. Now not subbed to anything larger than a few hundred thousand people.

Yeah it's been 'in' but now it's the prevailing narrative. To the point where even questioning it is 'violence'.

A long time ago my wife asked me how my day was (pointedly!), and I complained a little bit (I really never complain about my day) and she ended up saying I was complaining too much. I called her out on the fact that she asked me, and she sorta said "Oh yeah..I guess I did" but the true colors were shown.

It is. Society doesn't give a shit about men, in this regard. And in some ways that is actually okay. It's the bullshit duplicity about it all that I can't stand.

Let’s not forget it’s because of her ex fiancé that SHE got in debt. "My ex was emotionally abusive/manipulative" is a super popular line I've heard constantly. It's a way of saying "Yeah my last relationship's problems were never due to me"

give-and-take, compromise, sacrifice, etc. A great rarity is a woman who truly embraces these concepts.
