shows that you're socially aware I agree I think this is huge - it can be the difference between 'who the fuck is this guy?' and 'cool!'.

You're using a different definition of 'seriously' to article-guy. An alternate reading is: 'believe that what you are doing is a good thing to do'.

I don't think that wanting a girl who has a strong passion necessarily means you want a dancing monkey.

Don't worry about whether you're weird or not. I'd say that in general not being bothered is a good thing. The level of sexual frustration that a lot of young men (including me) experience is often counter-productive. On the other hand, if you never got hungry and never ate then you would die. So I'll say this, if you know on an intellectual level that you want to be with a girl but you don't feel the emotional drive, then you might need to actively do something about it. Just like if you knew y…

In one case you are forcing yourself to go somewhere you don't like, time after time, in order to meet girls, because you believe that that's where the girls are at. You are uncomfortable because the environment does not suit your personality. Eg. "I hate clubbing but I guess I have to". You're not in your element and people will sense that. In the other case you are exploring new places, people and activities. You're uncomfortable because you don't know what to expect and you don't know 'the ru…

Dressing to identify with a niche group will make you more attractive within that group, while making you possibly less attractive to girls outside of the subculture. Mark Mason calls it 'polarizing'. Do you want to go out with grunge girls or appeal to a wider audience? Just remember that if you try to please everybody, then everyone will think you're 'okaaaaay' but not especially attractive (on a personality/culture level). In order to please someone, you're going to have to turn someone else …

Your post paraphrased: yeah well, you see, your problem is that you suck, and need to suck less, so just suck less ok? like, this is how much you suck here and this is where you need to be here. Cool, we all clear? Go get em champ.

It just pains me that the early 20s is really the best time to get with people, play around, have fuck buddies and all that because as we get a little older people jump into serious relationships and all that Don't try to build a narrative for your life. It's not accurate and it's not helpful. You're telling yourself a story about your life should be (having casual sex because young) and how it will be in the future (less casual sex when older). Your setting yourself up for a scarcity mindset - …

She found him attractive, presumably more attractive than you, and acted on her attraction. Maybe there's something you could have done to make yourself seem more attractive to her, but it's a mistake to think you can control every variable in social interaction down to the point that you can make someone like you. Given that, it's possible that you didn't do anything wrong - I mean I don't know I wasn't there - but consider the possibility that you did everything right, charmed the shit out of …

Yes, but no. You'll have more opportunities, but you might need to seek them out. Opportunities won't always come to you. Personally I've found a lot of times through my life (I'm 23) I've looked to the future and said "yeah things will be different (more girls) when I... -turn 18 (drinking age) -finish school -go overseas for my gap year -work at a holiday destination at home -go overseas a second time -start university -next year uni -next year uni -start working at a bar -next year uni -finis…

It seems like you're using two polarised examples to justify your inertia: option a - tell your mum to fuck off option b - sit at home and do nothing If you have to justify your actions to your mum, say "I need to go out and meet new people" or something appropriately vague. You don't have to go out late either, you could go out 9pm-midnight. Tell your mum you'll be back at midnight if she's so worried. Fuck, text her every hour if she's really that worried. I think you should sort out your issu…

Try describe the attitude you refer to as "this" using evidence from daxorion's post. I think you'll find your projecting a preconcieved attitude onto him, rather than interpreting his post in the way it was intended.

I would have gone with it to find out where it's going. Personal philosophy is that you can always say 'no' later, but it's hard to change from 'no' to 'yes'. Unless you've got better things to do with your time. It depends how drunk we're talking here, but in general intoxicated people are less inhibited. So, you're probably right in assuming that the girls rubbing up on you wouldn't do it if they were sober. When sober, there will be an internal conflict. On one hand the girl is attracted to y…

Observations about the environment, her, other people, what's about to happen, etc. can help break up "interview" questions. Hell even "I had toast for breakfast today, I like toast" will occasionally get a "Omagash! I love toast!".

I like that Models presents a model for attraction. Not a fashion model, more like a conceptual model, that has clear fundamentals that can be used to solve more specific problems. I always struggled with trying to get my head around girls - I naturally think a lot. Some say I "overthink". I feel like the first section of the book filled a missing hole in my understanding. It was amazing for me personally, maybe it will help you. It has some practical advice but I found the conceptual stuff the …

If you're looking for a more comprehensive approach I'd recommend reading Models by Mark Manson. If you want to avoid interviewing a girl you can: make statements about the girl that provoke a conversational response ( Eg. "Nice shoes, you look like a skater") make observational comments about the environment around you (Eg. "It's so busy first week back, but you never see any of these people for the rest of the semester") focus on personal, emotional topics ( Eg. "What are you studying" - "Blah…

There's a difference between being an asshole and having boundaries. Check out this video of Tom Cruise. In this video he's pretty alpha ("don't run away"), and I guess you can even say pissed off, but what he's really doing is making his boundaries clear - ie. you don't squirt him with water. The thing is he does it in such a way that he doesn't come off as an asshole.

Make eye contact with a girl in a group. Pretend to shoot her with an arrow with a bow (as a joke). Pretend that there is a rope arrached to the arrow and with big hauling movements, pull her to you. Fishing rod or lassoo could also work. Haven't done it myself but I've seen it done.
