True, one person can still receive something similar to alimony known as palimony despite not being married, but that requires setting the expectation that one partner will completely financially support the other. Like one partner becoming a homemaker for instance. This can easily be avoided by having both people work though. Child support should be the only main issue when breaking up.

It's still relevant to Dave's point. Dave says, "If you can kill this motherf---er, I can at least abandon them". Personally, I don't see how you can kill a fetus, so his point doesn't have any sway on me.

This doesn't seem to be too important. The joke side steps the issue of whether a fetus is alive and has rights, which is the crutch of the issue. People are not fighting for abortion at 8.9 months after all.

It seems his wife ran back to Japan. Was she employed at the time? Did she have a social life? This happened to a few of my friends, and the main cause was the wife having a lack of connections in the States.

Sociopathy, or Antisocial Personality Disorder, is the disregard of people. Sociopaths are incapable of feeling empathy. Knowing how to play a room doesn't make you a sociopath.

What's the benefit of not eating bread?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
