I would disagree with the "men vs women is a new thing." Historically in many religions and cultures men were seen as superior to women for many thousands of years and had the right to oppress/use them. What we are seeing today is over correction for that where today's modern boys are being punished for the sins of their ancestors. Instead of creating a future where everyone lives in harmony.

It was moved to Nov 19 in 2009. Toilet day became international in 2013. The UN had 3 years to recognise it but they didn't. They could have made it international mens and toilet day but they didn't. (Other recognised events share a date why can't they?) They could have proposed to move it to a different date but they didn't. They simply do not care.

It's more complicated than that. Nov 19 was specifically chosen by Jerome Teelucksingh the reviver of the event in honour of his father's birthday. It is celebrated and recognised by the country of Malta since 1994 even though the United nations doesn't recognise it and officially views it as world toilet day instead since 2013
