Yep, this is also relevant here.

True, in fact, it’ll happen sooner rather than later.

Dos that includes Millennials? I wouldn’t consider them an “older generation”, at least not the younger ones.

Nobody will care if you reveal what country you’re in but I’m guessing it’s somewhere in southeast Asia?

I hate reform UK with all my gut. Private healthcare, lower minimum wage, removed job protections and every other bad thing under the sun. Maybe you have a point with the other things but they specifically said they’re not gonna privatize the NHS, only encourage more private healthcare. Doesn’t sound like there’ll be any major changes apart from cutting the bureaucracy a bit. however in the UK ministers don't actually run department, they deal with policies and not the day to day operations How …

How did the Tories gut the working class? Seems like the main problem is they kept taxes too high. And why would you vote Labour if you had to vote if they hate men as you said?

Well I like to think they’ll keep at least some of their promises but I agree we shouldn’t trust them without question. People think the West is doomed for different reasons. What are your biggest concerns? Also, what are some of the important truths?
/r/MensRights27/01/26 03:38 AM

Well it might be some progress but we’ll see if they actually do anything. I think the left and right agree on more than they’re willing to admit (at least the ones who aren’t extreme), but it’s too bad all the partisan fighting gets in the way.

She’s pretty smart so I assume so.

I still think they’re just throwing breadcrumbs but I guess it’s better than nothing. Honestly, it’s a tough decision if we should put whatever crumbs they throw to us over all our other concerns. For example, the GOP appeals to me more as they’re more aligned with my beliefs and I don’t know if I’d put the Dems’ sudden concern for men over that. I think the best strategy is more men to just demand change from both parties but sadly unlikely to happen.

Maybe you’d kinda have a point in the US, but not in the UK and probably most nations. I don’t think they were ever victims, at least not as much as men. You might find this interesting.
/r/MensRights27/01/26 02:40 AM

Except women were never oppressed, that’s just the narrative they have. I wouldn’t say men are oppressed either but I think we currently have it worse than women ever did.

That would be great for a few years but then it should be back to equality.

It will take 2 or 3 decades but eventually the majority of men will reject the entire premise of feminism and female privileges. It’s pretty sad if it takes that long.

You can hate him all you want but voting for the other side is no less stupid. Both sides whine and complain but neither choice is great. But how is it good for men’s rights? Doesn’t seem like he’s actually doing anything about it, besides getting rid of affirmative action. And we didn’t need Trump for that.
/r/MensRights27/01/26 01:37 AM
1

But it's just mental laziness on the part of politicians. Look at Trump, Mamdani, and Farage - each of these guys took a different angle from what's commonly discussed. I get the obvious difference between Trump and Mamdani but what are the main differences between Trump and Farage? Besides Farage being a somewhat watered-down version of him. adopting female ideals What ideals? Expecting others to do stuff for them? I don’t think so. Any suggestion for a solution that includes self-reliance and …

Eventually it will be the unsustainable economics of supporting women that will force political parties to back off female privileges. Their spend far more on things other than female privileges so this won’t be the reason why they abandon them. They’ll only abandon them when the majority of men wake up and start demanding to get rid of them.

Yeah that’s what I thought. Violence has nothing to do with speech, expect if it’s preceded by a specific threat. Don’t know why the hell the 1st amendment was included in that case, it’s very strange. I also think “protected classes” shouldn’t exist as this could lead to double standards in sentencing if someone commits a crime against someone who isn’t “protected” due to their identity. There should only be harsher penalties for “hate crimes” if someone commits a crime against anyone due to th…

I don’t care what they praise or don’t praise or if masculinity is “useful” to anyone. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the term.
/r/MensRights10/10/25 07:39 PM
2

Some forms of hate speech are not protected by the First Amendment because they fall into categories of unprotected speech, such as true threats, incitement to imminent lawless action. That’s what I was referring to. discriminatory harassment, and defamation. Can you give a real-life example of this? Regarding the Wiki article, what do “hate crimes” have to do with free speech? Sounds like it’s just part of the true threats or incitement to imminent violence clause. The vast majority of “hate sp…

Yeah I hate the “toxic masculinity” bullshit too but they’ll call us toxic no matter what. I don’t think the term is limited to those two groups and indeed masculinity is a broad term that includes different kinds of it. I just don’t think it’s any kind of oppression. But agree to disagree.

/r/MensRights07/10/25 04:38 AM

I mostly agree but “hate speech” is absolutely protected by the 1st amendment. The only thing it doesn’t protect is imminent violence. Even vague threats are ok. But companies can do what they want and should probably ban any threats of violence.

No, that kind of stuff is very much in the minority and it’s not a deserved branding for the sub.
/r/MensRights01/05/23 03:11 AM
3

I’m sure some self-described “feminists” would actually make the same point about their movement. The difference of course is that the radical people on their side have succeeded and have power while any actual misogynists here do not. And even when those “feminists” do call out the pieces of shit in their movement, they don’t acknowledge they have shaped what “feminism” is. I don’t think MR activism would ever go the same way. Yet we’re the “hateful” ones. Go figure.
/r/MensRights01/05/23 03:04 AM

Women are not just “slightly biased”, they’re entirely biased towards other women and so are men, more so than being biased against each other. It’s called gynocentrism which you must’ve heard of if you’ve been in this sub long enough. Also, your comment kind of contradicts itself.
/r/MensRights01/05/23 02:19 AM

First of all, capitalism is not a problem but I’ll forgive you for being clueless like most people. Secondly, everything that people blame on the scapegoat of capitalism in fact comes from govt interference in supposedly “free markets”, eg: excessive regulations, tariffs, subsidies, which are all cronyism for the most part. It’s ironic and pretty funny you talk of “economic freedom” when this freedom has deteriorated greatly and is getting worse. I’d also argue that labor unions only rose in the…

Ok, a) can I see the comic if it’s still available, b) was that word supposed to be derogatory when you coined it, and if not, how do you know someone stole the term and didn’t just make it up, and c) why are you just replying now? I was also confused at how the hell you were even replying this late as I thought all posts got locked after a few months, but apparently not anymore. Ah, good ol’ reddit with its random changes. That’s it, thanks lol.

Wow, you have a healthy ego, don't you? For some reason it didn't give me the notification. Calm your tits, I'm just kidding and good excuse. Nearly but not quite, my point is that the word Feminisim is not definitive in the way the terms Women's Rights Advocate and Men's Rights Advocate are and hence why I use those. Well, it is definitive since feminists all agree on the definition. The only difference is that both of those other terms does what it says while feminism doesn't. So your point is…

Damn, a bit late aren't you? Consider yourself lucky I'm still replying. However, those who now see through the lies probably bought them earlier, there is a reason that to become aware of how the world is is known as taking the red pill. Again, I'm not sure how many that is. Those not currently in college are more unlikely to have bought them. Hence my point, and my preference for the terms WRA and MRA. What was your point again? You said that the dictionary definition of feminism means you can…

Except what was drilled purely in the universities when I attended is now all over the mainstream media and it's only getting worse. Still, I think more and more people are seeing through the lies since it's become so crazy. Men will always see their rights addressed last if human societies are left to their own devices but that doesn't mean that women will get their measure of rights if nobody keeps an eye in that direction. I really don't think anyone needs to keep an eye in that direction, at…

Depends, having gone through University (as about half of school leavers do in my country) I got the "Feminisim is for equality" lie drilled into me, it took time to recalibrate. I guess we can put it at around half of all MRAs then, at most. The price of any human right, not just freedom, is eternal vigilance. I just think gynocentrism basically guarantees that women will never have their human rights taken away. Men will always have a lot more to worry about. Because Feninisim has never been a…

Most probably were in so far as they saw or heard the dictionary definition and thought, yes, that is me, then the were exposed to the truth of the movement by whatever means and changed their tune. Most female MRAs, maybe. But I don't think most men ever considered themselves feminists. that my actual position would be best described as MRA and WRA I don't see much reason for WRAs to exist, at least in the western world. But that's a whole other topic. Simply put there is no way to, objectively…

Jesus Christ, she's fucking insane. I couldn't believe she did it until she basically admitted it. It's a genuine wonder Depp didn't divorce her earlier.

I don't think anyone's made one yet for some reason. This is why we don't accomplish shit, because people whine but can't be fucking bothered to actually do things. I'll create it if nobody else does. Shall I copy the wording from the change.org petition?

Same thing in the UK, they had a brief mention of Depp saying that Heard hit him, but then they spend the rest of the time focusing on Heard's claims about Depp. Fucking disgusting and hypocritical, as usual.

/r/MensRights08/07/20 12:58 AM

That's why I said not the vast majority. As for co-existing, feminism has always been diametrically opposed to men's rights, so that's out of the question. Ideally, we could have a single egalitarian movement, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

For one, being a progressive when it comes to the left is often both economic, and social. Yes, and I was talking about the social aspect. What exactly are the progressive democrats influencing when it comes to the “mainstream corporate side" and how is it bad? You don't see how their attitudes to social issues are affecting the mainstream? Even they're now turning into SJWs, for starters. Also what do you even mean by “mainstream corporate side”? And it seems you also don't see how Hillary and …

Maybe MGTOW, probably not anti-feminists and definitely not men's rights. At least the vast majority. If you really want to help your own gender, just call it women's rights, otherwise you're not going to help either men or women. But hey, good luck.
/r/MensRights25/06/20 03:09 AM
2

No, the "progressive" side is growing and influencing the mainstream corporate side, at least when it comes to social issues. This is one of the biggest problems with voting for Biden, who knows what the hell he's going to do with already sexist laws. SJWs think the entire right is racist, and they make up a hell of a lot of Dems voters. And as a matter of fact, only a significant minority of elected officials on the right are actually racist and/or homophobic, so by your logic, what's the probl…

I'm not trying to evaluate Trump's presidency, I'm just stating why people voted on him. And I'm just saying people are gullible fools if they thought he was gonna change anything. That's economic isolationism and mercantilism. It disincentivizes importing, which essentially forces the country to become more autonomous. Except the US still imports the same amount. Not really, no. Average people are working class or lower middle class. These people typically benefit from low ranking jobs. They lo…

They're brave to be saying that in Spain, even if they are far-right nutjobs.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:53 PM
5

What was the pun though?
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:52 PM
1

Yeah, but what kind of change? Many politicians promise change but positive change hardly ever happens. I didn't see him advocate any "isolationist" policies except for putting tariffs on other countries, which would obviously hurt average people. As for "bringing back jobs" and making more products in the US, people are far too gullible. The manufacturing industry is obviously dying in western countries.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:51 PM
1

Yeah, we agree. I was just mentioning what people like that guy said.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:46 PM
4

I haven't seen it growing. All I've seen is both parties getting more extreme in their ideologies. Also, the people who think the entire right is racist often also believe they're homophobic too. So it's no surprise they mentioned it.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:44 PM

Unfortunately, a "cleaner slate" means fuck all once you become part of the establishment.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:40 PM

Some guy here said that men do kill more, as if that justifies pretending that men are the only ones who do it.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:37 PM

That was a pun?
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:32 PM

There's kind of a different legal system for men and women in every western country.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:29 PM
2

Thanks for being here, and I agree with people here about spreading the word, etc. Also, if you really could try to gather women to lobby for men's rights where you are, that would be great too. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a footstep.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:25 PM

They don't hate everyone. Just people who don't support their fucked-up ideology.

/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:12 PM

I would strongly recommend not calling yourself a feminist, even if it weren't for the negative connotations. Like Karen Straughan said, all you're doing is providing cover for the sexist group of feminists. It can never be redeemed. If you care about equality at all, calling yourself a feminist is the worst thing you can do.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:12 PM
3

Kind of sounds like the female equivalent of white knights, except it's false.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:07 PM
2

Great post. Though I don't know if there are really any social problems for women either, at least in the west. Agreed with everything else.
/r/MensRights24/06/20 09:02 PM
2

That's the one. Yeah, you should do that.
/r/MensRights21/06/20 04:06 AM
3

Yeah, I've heard some trans people become more aware of men's issues. There was a case of one person who actually pretended to be a man for a few months before realizing men's lives aren't all cushy, and that women have it better. I can't remember their name though.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 10:12 PM
1

Oh, so they've just recently been deprogrammed? That explains it. They'll probably realize it soon then, if they haven't already. I'll certainly check more of them out.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 05:04 PM
1

I'd be interested to hear them talk about how it's linked with men's issues, but I don't know if they're aware of it or not. It seems like a pretty obvious connection, especially from their perspective.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 04:29 PM
2

I'm aware of Bullock and many other celebs doing it. Didn't know Oprah did too, but that's not surprising. Yeah, it's horrific. And many celebs try to have the moral high ground. It's just sick.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 04:09 PM
14

Yeah, that's true.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 11:46 AM

As if chivalry ever included that.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 11:42 AM

I think they just genuinely don't care about men in general.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 10:35 AM

That would be a dream come true.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 09:36 AM

When comparing those two things, it is. Only a child would think they're equally wrong. Goodbye now.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 09:17 AM

I don't think I'm the immature one here. When you can think beyond black-and-white, come back.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 09:05 AM
17

Welcome to feminism.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 08:52 AM

Yeah, they're both wrong, but one of them is more wrong than the other. That's all I'm saying. It's called having a nuanced view.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 08:52 AM
0

No, I'm not justifying it. I just said organ harvesting is wrong. But if it's either for profit or non-profit, it's better if it's the latter.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 08:36 AM
0

No, but it's far better than the alternative. Also, I'm not talking about foreskins here, but just because someone might not need something, doesn't mean it can't benefit someone else. For example, we don't "need" two kidneys, but someone might need one. Non-consensual organ harvesting is unacceptable though, of course.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 08:23 AM
1

They seem cool, have they ever done a video to do with racial issues being part of men's issues?
/r/MensRights20/06/20 08:17 AM
-1

True, but at least the non-profit ones are actually being used for medical purposes. The for profit ones are even worse, and I doubt parents would allow it if they knew there was a possibility their kid's foreskin would be sold for this.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 08:05 AM
1

Then the stupid bitch shouldn't have promised. Also, she might feel guilty if she gets her wish too.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 08:01 AM

I'm talking about the for profit ones. I wouldn't call that "helping others".
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:53 AM

Not surprising.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:46 AM

Or disappear, one way or another. But why wouldn't she dump him if she wanted him gone so badly?
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:45 AM
5

Uh, I know they aren't told. Did you read my comment properly? Also, I don't believe there wouldn't be a significant decline if they knew what they're used for.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:44 AM
75

Yep, feminism is basically a huge exercise in chivalry.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:41 AM
37

Assuming that will be enough for them. They'll probably keep pushing for more and more women.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:40 AM
1

Maybe, but that doesn't mean she wants to cheat.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:38 AM
5

I don't know if the parents would either if they knew where a lot of them end up.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:36 AM
5

This is incredibly™ disgusting. At least the ones that are sold for profit.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:33 AM
1

Just barely.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:28 AM
2

True, what world is that guy living in?
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:27 AM
1

Don't know what that has to do with this, but alright.
/r/MensRights20/06/20 07:26 AM

Yeah, who the fuck spends that much on a date, let alone a first one? Why would you invest that much into someone you hardly know? I think only beta idiots who women can exploit do this. In a relationship, this continues. Men are expected to pay all or most of the bills/rent/groceries etc, even if the woman works and earns as much or more...still, man must pay. BUT...the man better split chores 50/50 or else he is "treating her like a maid." It's completely unfair, and makes absolutely no sense.…

Right. Almost 60 years after the Civil Rights Act of '64. Doesn't mean all discrimination stopped just because that act passed. Every other group in America, every other group, once restrictions on them were lifted, rose to their proper place. I'm thinking in particular of Jews and Chinese. Hell, I personally know a Japanese woman whose father had vast holdings in CA, was interned by Roosevelt in WWII, lost everything. Within 20 years he was wealthy again. Poor, White, Man -> You'll likely be ok. Even though more black people are shot compared to their demographic, police are actually more likely to shoot white men. And if they don't shoot, they're about as likely to use any violence against them as they are to blacks. So no, you're still not really likely to be fine. I think the most dangerous indicators are men, poor, black, in that particular order. Also, I'm not at all saying black people's issues aren't worth fighting for, but I really don't …

That's because all the racial shit is emotion-based and people don't give a shit about the gender aspect, unless it's to do with women. Emotions trumps facts every time, and that's why we need to show the facts about men's issues, but we also need an emotional argument too. That part is necessary.

The surface-level "ideology" might sound egalitarian but it was anything but that in practice. There's also the fact that good ol' Marx called his working class followers "useful idiots". Doesn't like he particularly respected the "proletariat". I'd argue it's just another divide and conquer tool, much like feminism.

The way you know you're dealing with a woman's game is that there's no way to even theoretically win; the only correct move is not to play Actually, they could bring up the subject of men's rights and tell them to start doing their own research, for starters. Lmao do you seriously think they were soo egalitarian with everything being gender neutral? Or are you just forcing yourself to believe they were just to back up your traditionalist point of view? Cause honey no where on earth is completely equal yet. Well like I said, let's wait and see what happens when a country is "completely equal". Somehow, I doubt what you're saying will happen. Most egalitarian =/= completely egalitarian. These men and women who are supposedly "egalitarian" have still been exposed to sexism, discrimination, misandry and traditionalism. Again, such a convenient explanation. This is why there's no point in arguing with people like you, you'll always fall back on the sexism argument even though that doesn't explain everything. how come there are feminine men and masculine women in completely extreme traditional places? Doesn't that ring a bell hon? Sad. B…

Nope, but most will definitely pursue things that are "traditionally" not masculine/feminine to the respective gender. And you know that for certain, do you? I think this is a good time to mention the "gender equality paradox". There was a famous study that showed in the Scandinavian countries, which are supposedly the most egalitarian, men still generally choose STEM fields and women still choose nursing, education, etc. This is obviously also true in most other western countries. Meanwhile, in…

The vast majority isn't cause most arent allowed to. And if they were "allowed" would everyone suddenly act the same? I doubt it. there are countries that literally kill men who act feminine and vice versa. And the west isn't one of those places. Hell, I think most western countries are more open to emotional men now than they used to be. Yet most still don't act as emotional as women. And sorry, but trans people are exceptions. Funny how feminine men and masculine women are "exceptions" to you,…
/r/MensRights30/05/20 11:31 PM

It depends on how masculine or feminine they are, and even if lots are like that, the vast majority aren't. Also, trans people definitely aren't exceptions as I've said. Just admit the "gender is a social construct" theory is bullshit. Even if people are socialized to like certain things, their brains are still wired differently. If that wasn't the case, then evolution wouldn't have taken the path it did. Both biology and history disagree with you.

Good.
/r/MensRights30/05/20 10:23 PM

Yeah, like exceptions or deviations can't exist. I suppose you're going to bring up the trans argument too, which really is just more evidence for biology being the main driver. There's no point in arguing with you, so I'll just end it now. Bye.

Same as many other men, got divorced because I came home and found my best mate balls deep in her, she blamed me for that, do did the family courts, she made a series of allegations no evidence provided by her and not once was anything asked for, but it was all accepted by the courts. Fucking hell, that's horrible. I don't know how she had the nerve to blame you, and I think that counts as emotional abuse. I found a lot out about mgtow and decided that's how I'm going to live from then on. Well …
/r/MensRights30/05/20 11:28 AM

I'm kind of MGTOW too. Did you have any particularly bad experiences?
/r/MensRights30/05/20 11:09 AM

I hope all that's true too, but yeah, it's better to be skeptical. Me too on that but as I've said in other replies there is a reason why in my case. What's the reason?
/r/MensRights30/05/20 09:46 AM
1

There's a couple of good comments further below that suggests this is the case. I'm personally disappointed because I actually want to give women the benefit of the doubt, but when many of them are proven to be like this, it kind of justifies the distrust. Maybe she still actually believes what she's saying, but I'm skeptical.
/r/MensRights30/05/20 08:25 AM
2

Agree with all of that. The "pick me" is also known as a "nice girl" but I don't think she's one. Instead, going by the info from some comments, she seems to simply be an attention whore. It's a shame.
/r/MensRights29/05/20 11:57 PM

Great, another attention whore. Still, another female voice is good, even if her motives aren't.
/r/MensRights29/05/20 10:18 PM

Hey, some uncles may be creepy but they're not necessarily toxic.
/r/MensRights29/05/20 10:13 PM

I think the real common sense answer is that both biology and environment play a role, with biology playing the larger role, perhaps around 75%. It's definitely not an either/or argument, and I'm tired of people claiming it's either 100% or the other.
/r/MensRights29/05/20 10:11 PM
1

But when you argue that men's rights is necessary because feminism is for women, they fall back on the "no, feminism is for equality of all sexes" argument. So then why would anti-feminism be anti-woman? Yeah, that's some great recursive logic that would be fun to exploit. and other days it feels like a place to vent about feminism. Venting is good, but we could do with a lot less random social media posts.

Whether your view of things helps you navigate communication with other people is a totally different issue. It does for the most part. Not my problem if others disagree. People in this thread are hypocritically complaining about a problem to which they are contributing. They are stabbing themselves in the foot and then complaining about foot pain. Do you mean that calling some people retards will lead to them calling us incels? They'll call us names no matter what. And I'm tired of this pretens…
/r/MensRights25/05/20 08:13 PM

That's not the same thing at all. When people are called incels when they're not, it's usually totally false whereas when someone is called retarded, chances are they're somewhat idiotic. Plus, the former is often an insult coming from one side of the political aisle while the latter is more general and gets applied to pretty much everyone. At least that's how I see it.
/r/MensRights25/05/20 06:06 PM

To me it’s not about the trials and tribulations about relationships, it’s about a horrible bias in our culture which is now literally killing men. It's also kinda killing relationships too, which is not good for either sex. Some people say that one of the goals of feminism is to destroy the family, and maybe they're right.

believes that everyone who has got angry once is totally mad through their whole life This one is a classic, it's called "anger bias" and it's what feminists and some other women use to discredit a particular argument from a man, because they can say, "he's just angry". This is also applied to men as a whole in the form of all the male violence portrayed in the media, while barely showing any female violence, resulting in a male/female violence ratio that doesn't really resemble reality. But PUA also teaches a lot of "red pill" ideas about female psychology. Most of the things I've seen here I've already seen from PUA and "relationship coaches". And I really don't see an age distinction either. Anyway, I try to put into practice a lot of the stuff I see both on here and in PUA but this place has few original ideas, in my opinion.

I don't get it, they claim they're different than PUAs and claim to despise them but I can see no discernible difference between them, apart from PUAs being honest in their intentions from the start and not having quite so many "rules" to follow. This place just takes the good psychology stuff from there, dresses it up as hard science and tells people to be "alpha" all the time, like it works for everyone. There's a lot of good stuff in the sidebar, but my god, all the obnoxious posters.

He probably just means that the "lockdown" is bullshit, as he's said before. It definitely has to do with Tesla, though he might genuinely believe it too. Swallowing the red pill is devoting your mind to seeking out truth, not talk about how many chicks you bang on a subreddit. Yet everyone apparently uses the "truth" here for the end goal of doing the latter. Ironic.

Men shouldn't be forced to become more feminine but they shouldn't be forced to become more masculine either. I've said before that letting men be themselves is the right solution. If they're the macho kind of guy, then great, and if they're the sensitive kind of guy, that's fine too. Most men are neither 100% one or the other, nor do they need to be. Is it just a coincidence that along side this agenda and the bastadisation of all things traditionally male we have seen mental health sky rocket …

As someone has pointed out, respect shouldn't be a given, courtesy should. Still, I agree with the sentiment but this is such an obvious cliche, I'm surprised it has so many upvotes. Let's stop regurgitating obvious shit like this, including social media posts, thanks.
/r/MensRights16/05/20 05:01 PM
1

Bingo. I'm tired of people confusing respect with basic courtesy.
/r/MensRights16/05/20 04:56 PM
2

Respect has no value? Alright, if you say so. Also, not admiring someone is not the same thing as "assuming the worst". Your reply is bunk.
/r/MensRights16/05/20 04:56 PM
2

Duh, this is female privilege at its most basic. It also reinforces gender roles. Fuck any women who constantly expects this kind of luxurious treatment. Suck it up and pay for yourself, princess. And men, stop enabling this shit because you want to bang them, thanks.
/r/MensRights16/05/20 04:44 PM
1

It only makes sense from an evolutionary perspective, not a logical one. It was obviously a good female sexual strategy but of course it's not fair to men at all, and I don't think we should have to put up with it, especially now that women are quite capable of earning the same as men if they want to. And I consider these men who are willing to pay up to be another kind of soyboys/white knights, though to a lesser degree than the usual types.
/r/MensRights16/05/20 04:40 PM

The only way we can't win is if we believe it when they say we're cheap or privileged. You don't have to accept their guilt trip.
/r/MensRights16/05/20 04:31 PM
3

They probably treated you better there because they don't hate men. Yeah, that's a good way to describe their politics, unstable. Anyway, thanks for the recommendations and see ya.
/r/MensRights13/05/20 03:55 PM
2

Well Texas is pretty different from Cali or Canada so I'm not surprised you preferred it there, lol. I'd like to visit Cali, but there's no way I'd want to live in most cities there. Also, Medicine Hat is one of the weirdest city names I've ever heard. I wonder who came up with that.
/r/MensRights13/05/20 03:17 PM
3

We're unfortunately an extremely gynocentric country. Like most western countries, and even some non-western ones.
/r/MensRights13/05/20 12:34 PM

Fucking hell, that's insane. I guess I'm never going to Canada or Australia, at least not to the big cities.
/r/MensRights13/05/20 12:28 PM

You know, I'd rather have a pompous attitude than a childish one.

Yeah so I'll kindly ask you stop dragging me back here.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 08:32 PM

I don't like to be wrong, no. Could I be? Yeah. Your attitude isn't so great either. Bye, once again.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 08:30 PM

People like me? Alright, whatever that means. See you around fellow ignorant person lol.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 08:28 PM

I never 100% believed it, no. Again, maybe I'm one of the few critical thinkers. Anyway, I'm growing tired of this, so I guess I'll see you later. Don't forget to keep questioning stuff. ;)
/r/MensRights12/05/20 08:26 PM
0

My god, are you being intentionally dense or what? I'm not saying "you need to know" for someone to have common sense. I'm saying "at least question it" should be common sense.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 08:23 PM
0

Only if you're very gullible, which again is tied to the whole thinking thing.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 08:22 PM
0

Now the point I was going to make is that feminism dominates media, education etc. So it was difficult for me to see it any other way. It's only difficult if you don't bother thinking. Glad to see you eventually decided to. From your perspective I should've always known it was bullshit from the beginning. No, I didn't say you should've always known it. Just that it wasn't necessary true. This doesn't exactly take a genius.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 08:19 PM
0

No, it shouldn't be learned when you're already an adult. It should be part of the whole "common sense" thing that most people already have (or should have) by the time their brain is fully developed. That is, unless you're in a literal brainwashing cult or an authoritarian society. And I never claimed to be smart, you claimed it and I agreed. ;)
/r/MensRights12/05/20 08:15 PM

Must be nice to have knowledge of every subject and never be more ignorant on one subject than another subject all your life. I am actually more ignorant on some subjects, everyone is. Doesn't mean I automatically believe everything I hear about those subjects, especially when they're to do with politics and have an obvious agenda. Must be nice to never have to learn how to properly use skepticism and have never been brainwashed. Maybe it's just me, but even in the days when I wasn't as skeptica…

Their suffering is my entertainment. It gives me a justice boner too.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 06:25 PM

If they're really using their brain, wouldn't they bother to research stuff? Even smart religious people accept the theory of evolution and that the world is far older than fundies believe. But God can't be disproved, so they still believe in that. Feminism and many other ideologies can be easily disproved. Either they're too lazy to think or they're willfully ignorant. Why didn't you question it sooner? I'm just curious.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 06:17 PM
1

Ha, that's pretty good. God, I hate these hypocritical cunts. I really hope they suffer, serves them right.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 05:41 PM
-4

Well, I would think it would've been fairly obvious. No offense but if someone is that brainwashed by feminism that they don't even research its claims, they're not much of a deep thinker. If only more people bothered to question stuff, perhaps the world would be a better and somewhat less crazy place.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 05:38 PM

I get your point but that never got us anywhere, and I think the majority of people would agree with the response.

No there have been loads of women posting this crap on Facebook and friends posting profiles of women on Facebook asking where the good men are now Rona had hit and they are lonely and scared etc. So they're genuinely asking where they can find good men now? What the fuck, lol. So what I've been seeing is people have trawled through their history, taken screenshots and sent that as a reply. All in all I totally get that's a bit childish but funny at the same time and good entertainment when you'…

She is an obese, crazy grape, yes.
/r/MensRights12/05/20 11:20 AM

Whether Thanos is actually crazy or not is debatable. But he does resemble a grape. I wonder what his blood tastes like.

shit like free nipples That, I fully agree with. Overall then in about a year it started to go to shit and British men just gave a lot of fuck yous, and no more fucks to give and just left them to it. In only a year? Wow, they must be pretty infuriating. our laws are mostly gender neutral The sentencing sure isn't, so I'm not sure if this makes a difference. Most women here say that they are already equal and don't need any more equality as it will be damaging to them and cause them to actually …

Agreed. Also, we need to stop letting these hate-filled people get away with saying horrible shit, and if even young boys are fighting back now, all the better for us. I fully support the kid's sentiment.

Well said. I don't mind when they talk about it, but when they act like they're better than everyone else, that really pisses me off. It's another kind of virtue-signaling.

Still, if you really need it, I'm more than happy to help a bit.
/r/MensRights09/05/20 06:38 PM

Yeah, I've noticed they (along with leftists in general) won't dare say anything bad about it despite their religion having horrific women's and general human rights records. Most likely because they don't want to talk about actual misogyny. Also, the "women's march" was accused of being anti-semitic too, oddly enough, and a few of them were actually stopped because of it. Incidentally, it's sad that being anti-semitic is apparently a lot worse than being anti-male. But yeah, they seem to hate e…

Yes, we live in a gynocentric world totally biased against men. Welcome to reality.

It's the same thing with the Boko Haram kidnapping thing too, they always talked about the girls, but fuck all the boys who were killed, who cares? It's disgusting. Also with charity ads focusing on poverty, war, etc. They mostly show girls instead even though boys are often even more affected. I shake my head whenever I see these kinds of things.

No big deal, it's just nature. Ok, I guess we shouldn't cure diseases or anything since, you know, it's just nature. It's a trend now and will be 10,000 years from now. I very much doubt humans will still exist in our current form in 1000 years, let alone them still caring more about women than men. Once you accept that its natural, it won't bother you anymore. I think you'll find a hell of a lot of people here who would disagree. and it can help you navigate the world going forward. Yeah, a fat…

AITA is a great idea, yet such a horrible sub. I wish someone could make another one without all the pandering to women, but we all know that won't happen, as it'll become the same pretty quickly.
/r/MensRights09/05/20 02:03 AM
6

Yeah, male feminists are some of the creepiest people there are. I've heard more than a few famous ones being accused of harassment or generally doing creepy things. It's not just about wanting women to like them, but also they desperately want to feel morally superior yet their actions say otherwise. So many fucking hypocrites.
/r/MensRights09/05/20 02:00 AM
4

Eh, I don't hate them. I hate their environmentalist propaganda and the pandering ads though.
/r/MensRights09/05/20 01:18 AM

Some people here could chip in a bit to help if you want.
/r/MensRights09/05/20 01:07 AM

Yep, they always had privileges even before feminism. That was a good example of it, and a great case for true gender equality.

Clearly something had to be done. Yeah, they should've gotten Hagrid to bust down the front door and tell the kid he's a wizard. But seriously, awesome story. This makes me feel like I missed out on some things while playing games because I never got close to the people I spoke to, when I actually spoke to them. They were always just strangers to me. Oh well.

I have been writing on and agitating for women’s equality since “The Feminine Mystique” came out in 1963. Horrible book. I know how supposedly “liberal” men abused the sexual revolution in every imaginable way. How did men "abuse" it and is she sure women didn't abuse this "revolution" too? What a stupid bitch.

I think it could've been a great thing for socially anxious/awkward people, but since all the normies are on there too, I think it's entirely pointless and mostly a scam. Someone needs to set up a dating site specifically for lonely or socially anxious people, but if only there was some way of keeping "average" people out.

Exactly, so how is this a "victory" for us? Maybe for the guys on the show but not for men in general. At least it's not tagged as "progress" like some other stupid posts.
/r/MensRights21/04/20 03:32 AM

This and a whole lot more. It's gotten even worse these days. This kind of stuff is the reason I'm wondering whether it's even worth it to be in a relationship, at least a long-term one. Finding a decent woman really is like finding a unicorn sometimes.

That would have been met with a firm dose of 2nd Amendment. How about in Europe? That's an interesting list, where did you get it? Or did you come up with it? I think the "Extermination" bit is a stretch but everything else seems accurate. Men are basically the jews of today, but they'll stop short of violence or murder. I agree with that.
/r/MensRights17/04/20 06:08 PM
2

I don't see how they can make it any more biased against men, but I'm sure they'll find a way. Anyway, I'm glad you don't think they'll actually advocate murder, it seemed like you believed they would do that.

Sometimes I read NYT too, but I cancelled my subscription a while ago due to their retarded op-eds. But yeah, in general I try to read both left and right-leaning sources for a variety of viewpoints. I've noticed the right-leaning ones often make a bit more sense, but that's just me.
/r/MensRights17/04/20 04:15 PM

Yeah, but I've noticed it's more prevalent with Guardian. Even CNN better. There is no gospel paper that spits straight facts AP and Reuters is pretty neutral most of the time. I just wish there were more like them.

I'm sure she's a hateful cunt but did she really mean it? Would she really do it if she could? I doubt it. And by your same logic, Murphy isn't just trying to normalize the already existing social norm to blame men when a woman gets pregnant and pretend she has no responsibility, but that she's actually advocating for taking away men's bodily autonomy.
/r/MensRights17/04/20 04:09 PM

I can't think of a specific reason off the top of my head, but I'm sure I've seen some sensationalized bullshit articles and they have a pretty clear bias. I would compare it to the left-wing version of Brietbart.

Some others have suggested that this an intentional joke to make a counter-point to anti-abortion people, but I find that hard to believe. I'm not sure it's not satire. It seems so bizarre, like a parody of what an extreme misandrist would say.

Men may "lead" the relationship, but they still give away most of the real power and control to women.
/r/MensRights17/04/20 03:11 PM

This is a fundamental feature of the "progressives" and they treat every "oppressed" group like this. When a member of the "oppressed" decides not to tolerate their bullshit anymore, they often face even more hatred and vitriol than the "oppressed", i.e. white men. It's pretty funny, really.

That's not surprising either.

If a guy really doesn’t want to have sex (or not in a theater), don’t have your erection out. Sounds like victim-blaming to me. Apparently Reid raped a kid in a movie theater (!) or something a long while ago and then actually confessed it. It seemed like she was showing off, like she knew because she's a woman, she wouldn't face serious consequences for it. And of course there's been nothing yet, it's pretty fucked up. I regret the fact that I can no longer jerk off over her.

That doesn't make sense, but alright.
/r/MensRights14/04/20 01:43 PM

I don't think they're saying this was all the fault of men, they thought that this was all really incels, which is unlikely but not that far-fetched.

I hope that's sarcasm.
/r/MensRights13/04/20 09:05 PM

Ha, weird surname.
/r/MensRights12/04/20 09:08 AM

It doesn't. We wouldn't be here if it did. Uh, how about when men aren't fucked over by the law more than women and when they get just as much help as women? How about when at least half our issues are fixed? Sound good? I don't need to go into more detail.
/r/MensRights11/04/20 10:26 PM
1

It certainly doesn't in practice. Are you blind? And I'm not playing the victim.
/r/MensRights11/04/20 08:34 PM

Not in practice they're not. I don't think even in theory yet.
/r/MensRights11/04/20 04:04 PM

Yeah but still, even if the word originated from that ideology, it may lose its original meaning once it enters popular usage. I'm sure there's lots of examples of this happening, though I can't think of any right now.
/r/MensRights11/04/20 04:03 PM
1

Eh, not necessarily. If I see people using it, I'll just give them the benefit of the doubt, unless they actually start using more feminist jargon.
/r/MensRights11/04/20 12:20 PM
1

Holy shit, that's hilarious. My favorite part was "women hold a different type of knowledge". What complete bullshit. And here I was thinking view/standpoint could be used interchangeably. I'm sure most people do, so I'm not sure if there's anything wrong with it. Context is key.

They're gendered don't ya know, dick is not gendered, pussy isn't as long as you use it for a man, using it for a woman would be extremely vulgar. So the hell what? Or are you being sarcastic? So occasionally i will suggest just taking the gloves off, verbally - don't give them the privilege of calling them bitches, or the ready made defense of saying that it's a misogynistic comparison to a specifically female dog. call them assholes, call them dickheads, cal them bastards and cocksuckers and s…

Ah, we are much alike lol.
/r/MensRights11/04/20 08:48 AM

It would be very difficult to prove at this point, when a sub is gone it's gone. Yeah, it's unfortunate. Especially since the hypocritical admins allow these nauseating double standards where incel subs get banned but femcels don't. It's fucked up. I wasn't making any effort to document things, I was just there for the memes Where, the incel subs?

you know i notice now that i had a bit of an attack of confirmation bias, i was so sure i knew that story. In my own link you can see that the word of the day was actually active in 2017, not 2016. So, not quite the smoking gun for that NPC meme that i had thought it was. It still seems like femoid came first and was maybe related to the NPC meme. Dem chicks crazy. They also came up with 'simps' and 'kings'. So, it seems like there is a certain mythology developing in their culture. Again, it so…

There's many good people, some of whom are even intelligent. I have hope that this small minority of people can eventually make the world a better place. Even the smallest hope is better than none.
/r/MensRights10/04/20 05:42 PM
3

Yeah, I saw it.
/r/MensRights10/04/20 10:50 AM
3

Yeah, that's interesting. It seems like "femoid" indeed came first, I wonder why the other person thought the opposite. When did "moid" start being used?
/r/MensRights10/04/20 10:50 AM
2

I already knew about all those examples, I was taking about average feminists who don't set out to do anything in particular. Of course a "feminist" who goes deep enough into men's experience of the world will eventually realize the truth. The question is would every woman who dives into these issues become a MRA? If they experience it first-hand, is it guaranteed they would start caring? Or maybe there's another difference between the average woman and the "feminists" who actually take the time…
/r/MensRights10/04/20 10:42 AM
2

And anytime a feminist actually puts in the time to really talk to men..they wind up, more often than not, admitting they were wrong and denouncing western feminism if not also becoming MRA I haven't really seen this happen myself, I'm sure it does happen though. But, then the average woman agrees men have the shittier deal but won't step up and help the cause. Agreed, that's the problem. But I wonder what the difference is between "feminists" that change their minds and become MRAs or supporter…
/r/MensRights09/04/20 08:36 PM

Maybe. But she could also be stupid too.
/r/MensRights09/04/20 03:11 PM

The thing is, Depp hasn't actually pressed charges for her abuse if I recall correctly. I don't know why the hell he hasn't, but if he did she would probably have more than a 10% chance of going to jail for a reasonable period of time.
/r/MensRights09/04/20 02:25 PM

Yeah, actresses aren't known for their intelligence. But people listen to them anyway because they're famous.
/r/MensRights09/04/20 02:19 PM
3

Calling them out or trying to change people's minds using these examples might not work either. You said it yourself, people don't listen to men as much as they do to women. More women must also be on our side, which is doubtful.
/r/MensRights09/04/20 02:06 PM
6

Only because there's overwhelming evidence against her. I wouldn't call it progress at all.
/r/MensRights09/04/20 02:02 PM
4

Yeah, but even though they think it's directed personally at them, doesn't mean they're abusers themselves. They may be helping an abuser, but they're all brainwashed by the narrative so they think defending her "balances it out" or something. They know damn well he's not the abuser here, but due to their worldview, it makes no difference.

Femoid was created in response to misandrist use of the term Moid which is used to dehumanise men. I can’t tell you specifically where it originated, but you will see it used a lot in androphobic/misandrist forums as a way to refer to men without acknowledging them as humans or people. Someone above says moid came later in response to femoid. I don't know if there's any way to prove which came first for certain. and acknowledging that women as a whole do benefit a lot from the laws and policies …
/r/MensRights09/04/20 01:15 PM
2

Nah, I think it should be equal time. That seems fair enough. And I don't think it would scare people off reporting, if there's campaigns or something telling women to still report. Same goes for men. I don't know if anything would change as for how court cases proceed, but hopefully there would be the same standards of evidence and due process as there are now.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 05:49 PM
2

I don't like her general self-righteous attitude, typical of celebs. Plus it rhymes. It sucks far less for the rich.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 09:48 AM
1

That's funny to think that they would ever care about equal rights for men, even if it helped women too.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 07:36 AM
3

good, reasonable feminists Something something no true scotsman. They really shouldn't call themselves feminists if they're for true equality, as I've said conuntless times. The origins of feminism itself does not suggest it began all innocent and pure that just happened to be corrupted over time, but that it was always a misandric ideology aiming for female privilege that simply got more and more powerful, corrupt, and misandric.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 07:34 AM
2

I like how equality is in quotation marks. Their site is a joke. Also, that's disappointing.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 06:53 AM

That's exactly what I think.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 06:48 AM
2

Agreed, but maybe women suffering will change them. But there's no reason we can't point and laugh in the meantime.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 06:45 AM
1

That's why they said "a step towards equality". And I sure hope the feminist equivalent for men will never exist, because that would mean male privilege instead of true equality. Feministm is not equality.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 06:41 AM
1

I'm sure it sucks for average people, but for a rich bitch like her? Maybe from her perspective.
/r/MensRights07/04/20 06:37 AM

Well they obviously have a conflict of interests because they're losing money lol. I wonder how they'll justify that to themselves. Eh, I thought the new Harley Quinn movie was ok. It wasn't great, and I still don't think she needs a movie, but I found Cap Marvel far more unbearable. By Neuralink, do you mean they'll try to shove it in our heads telepathically? I shudder to think what that would be like. Hopefully by then, either Hollywood will have grown out of this childish phase, or a kind of…
/r/MensRights04/04/20 01:10 AM

I'm just hoping against all odds that they'll finally realize the mainstream audience hates this shit and eventually ditch it, but the signs aren't looking promising so far. Oh well, it's not like we need escapism now more than ever...right?
/r/MensRights04/04/20 12:42 AM
2

Two words: SJW propaganda. In case you haven't noticed, the whole of entertainment is being fucked up by this "woke" stuff, and yes, this includes feminism. Marvel looks like they're going to go rapidly down this path too, so I wouldn't count on their future movies being anywhere near as good as they have until now. DC doesn't look like they're doing this for now though, so I expect the whole one-sided competition will soon be reversed where DC could be blowing Marvel out of the water. But let's…
/r/MensRights04/04/20 12:37 AM

And some people say teenagers are better than millenials, lol. Even when they try to talk about real issues, they still focus on the wrong things and end up sounding laughably naive. Not surprised to see how gilded it is. Kudos on her for mentioning the last two points though, very rare for a 13 year-old. Hopefully she'll do a bit more research and her mind will be on the right track soon.
/r/MensRights03/04/20 11:36 PM

Well said, feminists and leftists in general have a very different definition of "equal" than the rest of us, and even they have differing opinions on what it really means. The only definition worth a damn is equal legal rights and equality of opportunity. Every other definition is wrong and probably the opposite of equality.
/r/MensRights03/04/20 11:29 PM

That's doubtful, never underestimate the power of ignorance, even when it's well-intentioned.
/r/MensRights03/04/20 11:22 PM

It's not even 1% as dangerous as they say, it's vastly overblown due to it being highly infectious. It's good to be safe, but this huge global shitshow of an overreaction will have far worse negative consequences than the virus itself. But people love fear-mongering, I guess. That will probably never change.
/r/MensRights01/04/20 08:42 PM
3

Hell yeah, I've been saying we needed to do these things for ages. the number of men in this sub must be reduced to 10% Then this sub can be perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
/r/MensRights01/04/20 08:20 PM

Feminism is a tool of the elites in general. Historically, it's been an excellent way to divide people.
/r/MensRights01/04/20 06:29 AM
5

Let's hope so, but I doubt it.
/r/MensRights01/04/20 06:26 AM

History strongly disagrees.
/r/MensRights01/04/20 06:23 AM
1

I can't find a specific example of that but here are some great things they've done. I should point out the Duluth model is deeply connected with the current legal view that men are the primary sexual aggressors too. There's also a seperate category of female rape cases called "made to penetrate", but women are rarely sentenced at all, let alone for the same periods men are. I suspect it's just for appearances.
/r/MensRights01/04/20 06:16 AM
0

Well, for starters I think communism is a horrible idea, but you're right they are pretty similar. They both have flawed worldviews that blind people to reality, and they're full of hardcore crazies. And secondly, those people you described are essentially the ones with the real political power. That's why I don't think feminism was ever about "equality". You can even see it in the name.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 06:36 PM

Enlighten me and tell me how all these anti-male laws really came about then.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 06:31 PM

I don't think they've smeared us, no. The only real smearing comes from those opposed to us. I admit it's a small problem but nothing to be worried about for now.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 06:30 PM
4

I guess, but nowhere near the amount they have. I also highly doubt those relative few will ever represent the movement, if it ever goes mainstream.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 08:23 AM
6

That's incredibly irresponsible and stupid of them, but what do you expect with these people? Power and ideology are more important than people's lives, apparently. I guess I'm never going to Spain, it's a beautiful country but I'm not gonna help fund that feminist shithole while they're in charge. I just hope the whole west doesn't end up like this, but it looks like it will.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 06:36 AM
3

Yes, because stats are always so accurate, especially in an ongoing pandemic.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 06:29 AM
1

I certainly hope their narrative will collapse, but I'm not optimistic.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 05:44 AM
16

Nope, it was always that way. "Equality" was just mostly PR. You can even look up and read the rhetoric of the suffragettes, and you can see how they viewed men. It was these kinds of people, rather than the more noble suffragists, that always led feminism. The people who actually want true equality who call themselves "feminists" are ignorant and haven't researched what their movement has done. These people are egalitarians, not feminists.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 05:37 AM
4

The irony is hilarious.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 05:28 AM
12

I very much doubt that, since feminists are the ones who lobbied for the law to only recognize men as perpetrators and are the reason men aren't taken as seriously. Hence this is the exact opposite of reality.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 05:27 AM
29

just the more aggressive forms of it that say men don't face issues in society and that all society's problems are caused by men and the patriarchy. That is basically feminism, that is how it started and that is how it will die its hopefully slow, painful death.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 05:21 AM

Do you think their govt delayed the shutdown just so they could allow the "march" to happen? Seems unlikely but never underestimate the idiocy of government, so who knows.

Half of them are not gonna die, the death rate is really quite low.
/r/MensRights31/03/20 05:07 AM

Uh, he would. He says stuff like that all the time. Doesn't mean he's biased against minorities, and it wasn't my opinion. It sounds like you're not familiar with him at all. I wasn't there, I don't know for sure so I can't provide "evidence", but why don't you show some proof he didn't say that? See, two can play that game. Ciao for now.
/r/MensRights28/03/20 09:33 PM
1

Oh, did you mean "they" as in the other person, and not yourself, and "he" meaning Burr? I was confused since you said "blanket statement against minorities guy" earlier. Be more specific. Yeah, that "blanket statement" literally was part of the joke he mentioned. If you think the other guy is actually a bigot and lied about what Burr said, you need to get your head checked.
/r/MensRights28/03/20 06:04 PM

So am I, baby.

"They" is you and tell me what this "blanket statement" was. Can't answer, huh? That's a shame.
/r/MensRights26/03/20 04:23 PM
3

I know what you mean, but I think optimism is just the same. Maybe with a mass awareness campaign, many more people would notice and celebrate it, but it still won't get anywhere near as much attention as IWD, and the media will still refuse to acknowledge it.
/r/MensRights26/03/20 04:20 PM

Old poster but still true and worth sharing.

Being "too offensive" is such a fucked-up excuse, the only way it's "offensive" is towards men who have to go through that shit. Anyway, I agree. Spouting politics in the classroom is stupid and bad enough, but when it's all wrong it's even worse.
/r/MensRights26/03/20 03:46 PM
5

Because society doesn't give a shit.
/r/MensRights26/03/20 03:06 PM

What reason would the other guy have for lying and just cause Burr said having a whole month is ridiculous, doesn't make it a blanket statement against minorities.
/r/MensRights26/03/20 03:03 PM

How were unmarried queens the least likely to start wars, yet you say they started the most wars? It makes no sense or do you mean the reason why unmarried queens started more wars is because they were attacked first (in which case the other side started the war) and married queens were more likely to start them without being attacked?

More conservatives seem to support it from what I've seen, which is very strange indeed. Oh yeah, I'm sure the Finns were happier and benefitted them in other ways, that's entirely unsurprising. I'm talking about the economic costs, imagine what the total cost will be in the US. And if the people on UBI really did lose their benefits if they got a job, that's not true UBI then, is it? Which proves my point. Also, some people didn't report any increase in financial stability at all. Yeah, looking…

Ok, well giving it to everyone will bankrupt the govt even more and will increase the debt bubble exponentially, despite any tax increases, so I guess I'll stick with the "unavoidable" red tape.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 11:50 PM

If mostly conservatives back it, I'm even more skeptical that it'll be any better. I support getting rid of our welfare programs and replacing it with a single guaranteed income, but not for everyone. I suspect it would do nothing but expand the govt further and increase people's reliance on them even more. A strange position to take among libertarians but not surprising given our current system. Many things can seem like a magic solution at first, but can quickly spiral out of control. Ask Finl…
/r/MensRights24/03/20 09:41 PM

No, it's not just my own emotions. Those "public goods" you mentioned are different, and arguably necessary. UBI is not, inefficiency notwithstanding. Not to mention taxes would have to dramatically increase, and there's no guarantee they would even cover UBI. So no, you seem to be the one attached to UBI, even though it's a stupid idea and could have unforeseen consequences.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 08:09 PM
1

Still not a good enough argument, and it's certainly fairer than UBI, in my opinion.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 02:36 PM
1

That's why I said only for useful fields like STEM. Those fields are far less likely to have crazies in them.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 12:49 PM
1

The economy won't mean anything if the govt becomes even more bankrupt than they are now.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 12:47 PM
0

Fair enough, but the tax increase would be way more than 1%, and I'm opposed to any significant tax hikes, even if it helps the poor a little more. I think it would hurt the middle class more than it benefits the poor. Plus I'm still not sure the additional tax revenue would be close to covering the total cost of UBI. The cost of an inefficient bureaucracy is the problem here, and that should be fixed. But it's not easy.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 12:46 PM
6

Provided you have any savings, of course.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 04:09 AM
4

Yeah, but only partly.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 04:08 AM
-1

Yeah, someone already mentioned the red tape costs a lot, and I said they should sort that out then.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 04:08 AM
1

Well they should improve the damn red tape then, and in a lot of other areas too. That's not a good enough argument for it, I'm afraid. There has to be a more efficient way of targeted welfare. And as for the "social resentment" part, people should grow up and consider themselves lucky they're not being taxed even more. I'm all for giving people immediate aid in our current situation though.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 04:07 AM
2

Why should it be given to everyone though? As people who aren't in poverty aren't really depending on welfare. But maybe I'm biased because I'm a libertarian and don't think everyone should be reliant on the govt even more.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 03:37 AM
10

I agree with partly cancelling debt for certain useful fields, but I now think UBI is a horrible idea. I only agree with it for people below the poverty line, which admittedly is a lot of people. They should definitely be getting more than they are now.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 12:38 AM

This is actually one of the best opportunities ever to start investing, but don't expect to get good returns anytime soon.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 12:33 AM

Yeah, it doesn't take a genius to see this is abuse. Definitely would be a red flag, and I'd probably call the cops and/or her parents and dump them straight away.
/r/MensRights21/03/20 03:28 PM
2

Or they could just be pretty insecure, another thing society makes fun of men for but not when it's women.
/r/MensRights21/03/20 03:25 PM
2

Exactly, we don't want to become as bad as feminists.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 01:58 PM
3

Fair enough I guess, but if many guys with one aren't like this, then I'm not sure if the term should be used. Especially since the types of people who use it often have a negative view of men, or at least the ones not on board with feminism and the ones who aren't soyboys (for lack of a better term). I wonder if there's an equivalent indicator for women with low-esteem who are like this.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 01:57 PM
1

It's also funny how it's usually women who turn men against each other, intentionally or not, rather than the reverse.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 11:59 AM
7

I think this is the kind of generalizing comment that's clearly not true that makes this sub look bad sometimes. This crosses the line. At least it doesn't have many upvotes.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 11:56 AM
6

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest, but it's interesting how female in-group bias is a thing while, at the same time, they're all constantly judging each other. I wonder how exactly these two apparently opposing factors affect each other. If anyone knows about any research regarding this, I'd be interested in reading it.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 11:49 AM
1

The implicit expectation is still there though, especially if you're rich. I'd still consider it a female privilege.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 11:46 AM
3

neckbeards Yeah, use words designed to shame men, why not? It doesn't even make sense literally, as I haven't really seen any correlation between people having hair on their neck, or personal hygiene, and that kind of behavior.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 11:38 AM

Don't forget the general differences in job fields too.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 11:27 AM

Apple used to be so much better, I was skeptical when people said Apple was going to die after Jobs did, but it turns out they may actually have been correct. Definitely agree most Android phones are better or just as good as the iPhone now, both hardware and software-wise. Better value for money too, even Samsung's flagships.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 11:25 AM

It's always both hilarious and sad at how the current PC/feminist consensus is the exact opposite of reality.
/r/MensRights16/03/20 11:21 AM
1

Oh, that clears it up, thanks. Nobody ever told me this. I think it's simpler if they just said the effective tax rate instead of saying the tax rate is x% of what you earn, because it's a bit confusing and misleading. Again, thanks for the info.
/r/MensRights12/03/20 11:58 PM
1

I still don't understand how people pay those figures if the rates are 20% and 40%. Why is 12.5 (I'm aware this is the highest amount where you pay no tax) subtracted from however much you earn and then the tax is applied?
/r/MensRights12/03/20 07:46 PM
5

No, self-hate is never good. It just lowers your self-esteem and makes you less likely to achieve positive results.
/r/MensRights12/03/20 07:43 PM
1

20% of 25K=5000, and 20% of £50K=10K. So shouldn't people actually be paying that much? Regardless, I think the combination of fewer women and more working part-time clears up the tax difference. I heard half the workforce are women, but apparently that's not true.
/r/MensRights12/03/20 01:29 AM
1

But the majority of men and women are likely making between £12,000 and £50,000. So how can the tax difference be that big?
/r/MensRights12/03/20 01:12 AM
1

It's not a 30% tax rate. 30% of all the money the UK govt gets from the income tax, comes from women. Oh, well that's better but a lot worse at the same time. I just did some research regarding UK tax, and the rate is 20% up to £50,000, so it's not that progressive. Unless the majority of men are making over £50,000, which doesn't seem plausible, I'm not sure how an earnings gap of 20% would mean the tax difference is more than that. But then math was never my strongest suit. What would change w…
/r/MensRights12/03/20 01:04 AM
1

I'm not quite sure if I understand all those figures, it's laid out in a way that's a bit confusing, but it definitely looks like the difference is pretty large indeed. Do women pay less than 30% tax if they work full time too?
/r/MensRights12/03/20 12:24 AM
1

I hope there's one. It's only fair.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 01:37 PM
1

They're less likely to be in the workforce? I though half of it was made up of women. I kind of knew the other two reasons, it's just astounding that they pay only 30% income tax given that I don't think the gap for average salaries for men and women is quite that large. It just seems like the tax gap is way too big.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 01:32 PM

I know it's subjective. Fair enough, that makes sense, I'm kind of MGTOW myself so I know you can belong to multiple groups.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 01:29 PM

That's cool, you should all join up with the ICMI one year.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 07:54 AM

Yeah, they can go too. They can all be happy getting stoned together, and the west would be much better for it.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 07:48 AM

Oh, that's a shame there's some disagreement with the few other centers. I think you guys really need each other. Hope you eventually succeed in advocating for a national center. Aww, man. It's ok.

You can be TRP and PUA and be MGTOW or you may not be MGTOW. It depends on your goals. I guess I'm kind of MGTOW and kind of PUA sometimes. I've heard as long as you don't cater exclusively to women, you can still be MGTOW, so I guess I am. I could always change my mind though. I don't think I can find a woman I'd trust to start a family with. I don't blame you, it's quite difficult these days. Nonetheless, hope you can find someone. I hope I can too. If you are younger I wouldn't go MGTOW Isn't…

I agree with your definition of high value men although I'd phrase it a little differently as those men have value to women. They are either attractive (giving women status and pleasure) or will spend money on them or will entertain them or are powerful or will do all of the above. Right, I was saying something to that effect. Weak men to me are men who arent truthful and go through life acting as someone they are not. They also dont believe in anything. Ok, well I don't think this describes mos…

I've heard multiple MGTOW people here say different things, so I hope that's what it means. Also, if you're involved in a relationship and doing PUA/redpill type stuff, does that count as MGTOW?
/r/MensRights11/03/20 03:38 AM
1

Fair enough, I guess. Is there any sub where it's ok to wish harm upon feminists? I ask for research purposes, of course.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 03:14 AM

Wow, looks like you're pretty stable then. Hopefully, you'll get big enough to expand someday. Also, what did it say, pre-edit? I'm curious.

Fair enough, I'm not against the MGTOW viewpoint.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 03:08 AM

What do you define as a weak man or a high value man? I'd define a high value man as someone with any kind of power that women like (muscles, money, etc), and they have specific behaviors that "weak" aka average, men can copy to make themselves more attractive. You don't need to be a PUA yourself. There's a big overlap between PUA and "relationship coaches" and that's where I've seen most of the good advice about healthy relationships. I consider TRP to be a more extreme version of PUA, that's a…

I'm hearing all kinds of different things about it. Are you sure this is the definitive viewpoint?
/r/MensRights11/03/20 02:50 AM

This is where they are right and PUAs are wrong. I think that's subjective. I think our disagreement comes down to this. That is the definition of compromise. It's that you think it's acceptable, and I don't. Fair enough, compromise actually means accepting lower standards, but whatever. getting closer to the person women want you to be Like I said, it's not all the time. You're not permanently changing yourself. But for most men, I think they don't. Perhaps that's one of the reasons why most re…

What if no version of myself includes being a "high-status man", much less emulating one? What if that would make me disgusted with myself, because that type of man/status disgusts me? There are varying degrees of emulation, you know. Different behaviors you can pick and choose. Does not work for what exactly? I'm going to guess "getting women". I think you just made my point. Is your point that MGTOW is better again? If "getting women" is not someone's priority in life, that whole house of card…

I'm not surprised in the slightest. How come they can pay less in taxes?
/r/MensRights11/03/20 12:56 AM

Which are... "psychological tricks and stuff". A large part of normal relationships could be called "psychological tricks" then. Note that the worst thing about this is not that you betray women by pretending to be someone you're not. The worst thing is you betray yourself by pretending to be someone you're not. Correction, it's about being the best version of yourself. You know, like MGTOW go on about, but applied to women. Yes it is. Most of human interaction could be classified as "manipulati…
/r/MensRights11/03/20 12:48 AM

Damn, forgot about men subsidizing women too. It's true that women benefit a lot more from taxes than men. This could be another reason for their lower mortality rate. Still, it's not outright slavery like in feudalism, so at least there's that.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 12:32 AM

Men don't work the same jobs I know, I was saying when they do. In the same jobs, they work more hours. They take FAR less sick leave. They commute far longer distances. Good point, I forgot those factors. All in all, I don't think the IR is entirely to blame for women now having more comfort than men. I know men want to earn more, and usually do, but nobody is forcing them to kill themselves at work. I think the average man today still has it far better than they did 200+ years ago.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 12:25 AM
1

Right, that's what I said before. Are most male-dominated jobs really that stressful, where the only way they can relax is to smoke? And why do men have more stress than women where they work in the same job? I thought women were the more neurotic and easily-overwhelmed ones.
/r/MensRights11/03/20 12:08 AM

One example. As a MGTOW you go to the gym to train for sports you like, to get healthy, etc. As a PUA/redpiller you go to the gym to get ripped to impress girls. And it never occurs to them that most men do it for both reasons? The difference comes when you don't want to go to the gym. As MGTOW you just do something else that fullfills you and makes you feel accomplished. As a PUA you become a loser because you're not attractive to women, so you force yourself through gym. That's not going your …

Then the question is what specifically led to less women dying and not men?
/r/MensRights10/03/20 11:44 PM
3

Yeah, I'd love to have a men's center around here, it would probably really help my mental health. Instead I get told to just take meds and "just think positive" like that ever helps for men. By the way, what's your source of funding and if you ever have enough funding, would you consider opening multiple centers in different countries?
/r/MensRights10/03/20 11:41 PM

I don't think there's anything harmful in dating for a couple months, that's where I think they go too far. Is it because you might get attached to the girl? That could happen with one night stands anyway. And someone else said that MGTOW isn't opposed to short-terms.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 11:14 PM
1

Eh, PUA isn't just about "acquiring more pussy". I've seen some genuinely good relationship advice that includes some of what you said about MGTOW being against letting women control your life.

What a piece of shit, the media is filled with these types of people.

/r/MensRights10/03/20 09:24 PM

Except that's not retarded. That's actually the reason, it's a cry for help most of the time. Women know they will get more help and attention, men know they won't.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 09:13 PM

Which country is your center located in? You're doing amazing work, keep it up.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 09:07 PM

Well, the industrial revolution did lead to technological progress which we have all undeniably benefited from, even if women do benefit more. Also, what specifically about the IR lead to higher mortality rates for men? It can't just be workplace deaths, can it? Is it men having jobs with more stress that causes their deaths? I think this is only true if you have a high-demand/higher-paying job.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 09:04 PM

I'm well aware it's against getting married, I'm against getting married too. I'm not sure what they think of long-term relationships, but I think they're ok with short-term ones.

I really think the sane thing to do is just not to celebrate it or acknowledge it at all.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 08:17 PM

I don't think there's anything that can be done for women having higher life expectancy, apart from lifestyle changes and medical advances. Plus there's no such thing as "positive discrimination", it's still just discrimination against men.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 08:10 PM

Exactly, it doesn't really matter what we say, apart from actually becoming anti-women or advocating for violence, which would surely get this sub banned.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 08:04 PM

You're still right though. Censoring isn't very pro-free speech and nobody was "advocating violence". I think the mods are sometimes too paranoid about what the threshold is for comments that endanger the sub.

I don't think it's just Millennials who are stupid. Also, don't forget the industrial revolution made life easier for practically everyone.

The second-to-last reply kind of says something like that, but of course doesn't explicitly say maybe most men are actually good and don't deserve to be treated like shit.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 06:50 PM
2

According to the perceptions these groups have about each other, doesn't MGTOW have the least losers in it? Since they don't fight for "something they can't attain" yet they don't "think with their dicks and don't do anything productive with their lives"? Not saying this is actually better than the other two groups, just saying in the way they're perceived, they seem to be the best option.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 06:43 PM

Eh, not necessarily. I don't think all of MGTOW is against short-term relationships.

Well said, I agree.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 06:29 PM

Except I don't think they wanted to be treated as equals, they never wanted the hard jobs that a lot of men do and they never wanted the draft which is how men had the right to vote. They only wanted equality when it suited them, that's not equality, those are just privileges. And they were wildly successful in their goal for female privileges, of course.
/r/MensRights10/03/20 06:28 PM

99% of men and women are sane and good people. I'm not sure about that, but most people are mostly harmless. I get it, its their fight and some things has to change... It's hardly a fight, and what exactly needs to change?

I used to follow scientists, a few tech people, and some pseudo-famous libertarians. I used to enjoy it and saw some insightful content, but the garbage of politics always seeps through somehow. I think as far as the west imploding demographically goes, using pets as surrogate kids is pretty low on the list of reasons. They shouldn't be held in first-world countries because all it leads to is women whining about their mostly non-existent problems and denigrating men. That aren't really any societal factors not allowing women to reach the top, they just often can't due to the fact they can't really compete with men at that level due to their less competitive (at least when it comes to work) nature. In fact, men often bend over backwards specifically to let women reach the top in many cases. On the other hand, I'd say it's a mix of societal factors and nature that's the reason for so many men hitting the bottom. At least the societal factors part would be pret…

I think we should still "stoop" to the same level and create catchy slogans and memes, because this is how people understand stuff these days. Even if people criticize them, they already do the same thing whenever we try to get out points across, so it's not like it's going to do much harm. If they play dirty, we should play dirty too. take more inspiration from early feminists like the suffragettes who were not afraid of radical actions and civil disobedience in their fight against injustice. I…

If it's a relatively simple meal and you've cooked it before, then I suppose so.
/r/MensRights25/02/20 01:31 AM

I guess it all depends on the meal. But generally, you need at least a bit of focus.
/r/MensRights25/02/20 01:27 AM

I already saw that. I disagree that's real justice, and I don't think many people hate women here.

Yeah, I wouldn't either.

I don't think it's a "kid emotion". Maybe it's a more "feminine" emotion, but I think women should at least try to get over that instinct, especially if the guy is attractive in every other way.

I don't usually smash, but alright.
/r/MensRights24/02/20 01:03 PM

Yeah, sadly it puts women off. But then a lot of women's behavior is off-putting too, and it's easier for them because too many men are willing to overlook a lot of shit. Thanks, I hope so too.

Which is cool. Hulk smash!

Which is complete bullshit.

Well yes, certain "learned skills and information" is generally what people mean by common sense. Of course you're not born with it. I would've thought this was obvious. If some people don't have basic logic or information by around the time they become an adult, that means they lack common sense. Whether they're stupid or not is irrelevant.

Buddy, I can't know "for sure" Japan isn't one enormous myth. I've never been there, so how do I know it even exists? Have you? Has anyone you know? Have you asked? If you asked, and the answer was "yes", could you believe him? Well, Japanese people do exist you know. They have their own language and everything. Plus there's simply no way they could create a fictional country out of thin air, there would be no point. I'd assign a greater probability of Japan existing than man-made global warming…

/r/MensRights10/02/20 08:29 PM

Yeah, but you said they'd define it as "hate speech", which wouldn't be true if they use it too. If they only think it's "hate speech" when others use it but not them, that makes them awful hypocrites as well as profoundly stupid. Also, that vid is hilarious. "Measure light escaping through windows and electronically analyzing it to match it to a programme that's being watched" sounds like something from Hitchhiker's Guide. I can't believe people fell for that.

they likely defined words like 'patriarchy' and 'slut' as hate speech I don't think they'd consider "patriarchy" to be hate speech. Also, I was talking about my personal case when I was talking about ruining families. What's preventing people from going to the cops straight away? Ive came to realize that comes with a price that many from both sides are unwilling to give. At least skim it, it's quite interesting. Also, what may not seem like harassment to you is to another, we do not decide what someone else feels about something. That's the problem, anyone can say anything is abuse. I think there should be objective standards. That's why people only go to jail if it's something serious. I wouldn’t disagree that I would expect more men to be discredited. I mean, from what I saw of it nearly half of them complained about relatively minor stuff so I'm really not sure it was just a few, and stuff that could've been troubling to one person may not be troubling to most people, so "harassment" is subjective too. And personally, I've seen more women discredit men than the opposite. I won't deny that the movement has done good things for a lot of people, but it did reek of a victimhood mentality and quite rapidly turned into a witch-hunt for many others…

I wasn't talking about the ones who actually were abused. I'm talking about the ones who complained about mere touching and and who knows what other minor offenses. My point is that "abuse" and "harassment" can have a very broad scope of meaning. They want everything to make them a victim. And I don't know exactly what percent of them whined about minor shit, but I'm willing to bet it was far from a few. Plus a lot of women refused to acknowledge when men used the hashtag unless they were also a…

No, because it was always about women only and their pseudo-victimhood. Plus the hashtag itself was tainted since a particular chef's wife who was one of the main voices turned out to be an abuser herself. I think it's great men have a seperate hashtag that differentiates it from that joke.

don't use this as a platform to insult feminism (supporting one means you have to support the other) No, this is incorrect. One is a sexist movement, the other is for true equality. The two movements are diametrically opposed and incompatible. Why is this downvoted? I don't understand some of the fucking idiots here sometimes.
/r/MensRights02/02/20 01:05 AM

That doesn't happen except in strip clubs. Certainly not on mainstream talk shows. I know you're coming from a good place but next time try to find a better example than someone who directly supports sexist double standards. Have a good weekend too.

I'm confused, did they say affirmative action was wrong? The rest seems to imply they thought it was right, or did you make a typo? Also, I think my "vague" questions were already pretty specific, I didn't just ask if male suicide was a problem, I asked if society should help men more, and they agreed. I don't think they would blame men for all our issues. And if they give a politically correct answer to a vague question, they will probably give a politically correct answer to a specific questio…

/r/MensRights30/01/20 02:38 AM

I don't remember exactly what they said, but they seemed to respect men and were sympathetic when I brought up a couple of big issues like the suicide epidemic and the sentencing gap. I don't know if they considered themselves "feminists", but they were certainly egalitarian. That's what I told the other guy, most of them probably would care once we bring up our issues.

No, but there re trends that exist and generalizations we can draw from those trends. Sure generalizations aren't 100% accurate, but that's the point of generalizations. They generally explain behavior, not specifically. Sure, there might be some women who don't view men as worth less than they are. But they're few and far between, and we can tell that by the way women in general act. No, there is no mythical "we". Your experiences are yours and yours alone. I'm well aware of their politics and their endless antics of allowing one side of free speech while restricting the other. If I want nice things every now and then, and if my hypothetical partner makes a lot more money, then yeah, I'd expect them to chip in at least a bit. That is assuming my partner isn't an asshole. I know that might sound selfish, but if someone's partner really cares about them, then they should help, shouldn't they? It's the same thing with emotional support. By "personal real estate" do you mean buying property and leasing it? If not, how else do you invest in property without buying stocks? Also, I'm thinking of starting an engineering course myself. I'm just not sure which type is right for me. Do IT engineers earn more than other engineering jobs?

I don't know why we need another term for what is basically gynocentrism, but it's a shorter word I guess. Also, I bet feminists and the media will totally ignore this research, even if it's published in respectable science journals.
/r/MensRights27/01/20 07:00 PM

I see the term "MRM" a lot, yet I can hardly call it a movement since it's really not that big yet. Also, cultural or social, activism for men is just as important as legal activism since both impacts the other. But again, it's just about equality and has nothing to do with discriminating against women. But yeah, agree with the rest.

It doesn't matter if it's anti-woke, a lot of people will still read it. You can't please everyone, so just write something you'd like to read, especially an important topic like this. And if some people don't like it, screw them. Hope you come up with something good, and don't forget to let me know if/when you publish it! :)
/r/MensRights20/01/20 05:53 PM

That sounds awesome. You really should write that novel, I'd read it.

Yeah, there's not nearly enough positive posts here. Sometimes this sub just does nothing but whine and moan, never taking action and organizing anything.

The sad truth. "Stealing our jobs" is a bit of an exaggeration, but otherwise I agree.
/r/MensRights19/01/20 12:51 PM

I hope you're right. But there's probably a lot of misandrist feminists who thought the exact same things when they were younger.
/r/MensRights12/01/20 10:18 AM

They shouldn't call themselves feminists then, as I've said before.

Yeah, the amount of posts like this here are too damn high. These random things are so pointless, the mods really have to do a better job at reducing these kinds of posts.

So true, they want all those things only when those things benefit them.
/r/MensRights12/01/20 03:55 AM

Exactly, that's what always pisses me off about those terms. We can't win whatever we do. It's ridiculous. Also, thanks for introducing me to that sub!
/r/MensRights12/01/20 03:53 AM

Huh, that's weird. Maybe one of CNN's big ad sponsors has decided they don't like her rhetoric and so CNN are against her now? Even if their sponsors do pander to women like everyone else.

They are overworked, understaffed, and sometimes poorly trained to deal with the realities of the job. Well that sucks. One of the problems seems like a lack of funding for sure, as well as inefficiency. Yeah, it's gotta change. Doesn't look like it will for the foreseeable future though. It's a fucked-up situation.
/r/MensRights11/01/20 02:35 AM

They're not selling it out though, they would just be paying lip service to an issue and then go back to the usual misandric bullshit shortly after.
/r/MensRights10/01/20 10:53 PM
1

When men are in pain, or are angry/hurt, etc, the instinct in other people is to fear them, or blame them for their situation, or treat them like "broken women" Surely trained professionals don't do this that often, do they? They must realize they're supposed to be trying to help them. Or do they instead, kind of like you said, provide the same kind of help they give to women, and that's the real problem? Do we need male-specific mental centers, and if so, what could they do differently there?
/r/MensRights10/01/20 10:49 PM

Any rabid anti-Trump media outlet probably isn't male friendly though.
/r/MensRights10/01/20 06:49 PM

Thanks. The real issue is that they don't receive proper care for their illness once they are there. I'm wondering whether they actually don't take men's mental health seriously, or if the usual therapy and meds just doesn't happen to work as well for men as it does for women. If so, I don't know how they could help men differently.

Don't end up like Anthony Bourdain, letting a woman's deceit lead him to suicide. I know all about the shit with his wife, but still don't know what that had to do with his suicide, if it did have anything to do with it.

some sort of media that is more male friendly. Such as?
/r/MensRights10/01/20 09:31 AM

No one in the military any organization takes the mental health and well being of men seriously. Yeah, men are seen as disposable everywhere, but even more so in the military. This post is just another reason not to join. I don't get people who risk their lives in pointless wars that their country started. Studies have shown that over 90% of men who commit suicide have atheist one interaction with health services within a year of their death. Can I get a source? It sounds like it's true, but jus…

You can focus on being happy, but it doesn't mean you don't have to still be pissed off at people. There's some things you can't forgive, and this is one of them. It's ok to still hate someone as long as you don't focus on it all the time.

That's fucking insane that a victim's relative is still best friends with the bitch who caused him to kill himself. Sounds like she's the real bitch, not you. And the brother doesn't care? Mind-boggling and ridiculous.

look at the ridiculous wage growth among IT specialists (wages growing faster than productivity indicates lacking supply). This also applies to the low wage sector But we're talking about low-skilled jobs and in most places, there's too few jobs available and real wages have not grown much and kept up with inflation and living costs, especially in cities. The average national salary has also stagnated, despite increased productivity. People are demonstrably poorer than they were a few decades ag…

in fact, the job market is overheating and if anything we sorely need migrants So there's too many low-wage jobs available and not enough people to fill them? I wish other countries had this problem instead, lol. It's the opposite in most countries, hence the opposition to mass immigration. Unfortunately, both open immigration and labour market regulatory zealousness are part and parcel of the leftist agenda. The latter doesn't sound very neoliberal. But yeah, told you Sweden is run by leftists.…

Thanks again for all the info. I was mostly kidding with the Obama remark, the whole "revolution" thing and all. Why can't they advocate for the rights of the whites in poverty? Since whites are not that discriminated against. Yeah, again I'm surprised things are so good in Sweden. I've heard there can be a lot of ethnic tension with a sudden influx of migrants, especially since obviously they'll likely compete with low-wage jobs, so it's surprising that most Swedes don't seem to mind much. That is part of the process of growing up: it takes time to understand how letting people behave selfishly and interact through markets creates benefits for all - even as it clearly lifts BILLIONS out of poverty. That's not an excuse, it only proves how poor the intellectual upbringing of so many people is. This wouldn't happen if kids weren't exposed to propaganda on a daily basis. It's even worse now with social media. Perhaps parents should do a better job of teaching kids about finance, but …

Size of the economy: Thanks for making me check my facts, which I tried but was too lazy to follow through on. I know it's not a commercial bank, and I think the term "neoliberal" is silly. Also, would they have cared if you had family in Africa? Why would you say Zimbabwe declined so much? I'm already aware of the hyperinflation there. They'd probably blame western banks.

It's far easier to argue in my opinion, that people who don't get laid are not all evil misogynistic terrorists Well that's the problem, we're not talking about virgins here, we're talking about self-described incels, and many of them tend to have a...less than flattering opinion about women. Compare that to men's rights, which like you said, is easy to fact check. If it leads to a complex discussion, so what? Neither incels nor men's rights is a simple subject that you can argue about in a coup…

Well that's a detailed answer.
/r/MensRights15/12/19 07:37 PM

As far as her talking about "dangerous beliefs" and not bothering to question her own, that's some pretty hilarious cognitive dissonance. But the free speech part is interesting. It seems she only cares about "free speech" to some extent, which isn't what free speech means. I suspect she simply has a misunderstanding of the term, probably from the leftist bubble she's in. That was a great reply. I've heard of negativity bias too, it makes sense evolutionary-wise, but it's funny that in the modern world, it's easy to get negative about everything, so you could argue it actually has a more detrimental effect on survival now than it did in the past. Same goes for tribalism, except these days it doesn't affect our chances of survival either way.

2.earning money Actually, I've seen a post here that says single women under 40 actually earn more than men of the same age group due to them realizing they have to support themselves and plan a career in the same way men do. They also find it easier to get jobs and promotions due to female privilege though, so how much of this "earning" is fair is up for debate. There is indeed a wage gap.

That's why it's essential for some of the leaders of our movement to be women, that might change the minds of a lot of other women. Uh, it kinda does because they have more life ahead of them. I'd say their potential years of life are more important than yours, the magnitude of importance differing depending on your age. Or perhaps you wouldn't sacrifice yourself to save a kid, which wouldn't make you a very good person.
/r/MensRights24/11/19 03:38 AM

Why don't you link a study? I've been searching and found nothing so far. Of course you can choose who to be, but let's not pretend genders don't have specific traits. I agree that kindness has helped lead to human survival, but I'd say intelligence in general has made humanity as successful as it is. You can't deny that. Also, I agree that specific masculine traits like aggression and self-sacrifice are often bad and ripe for exploitation, but you're kidding yourself if you think these traits aren't natural and were man-made. First of all, I agree with the basic premise of what's happening in our society. But I don't think it's necessarily those in power who want this, it seems to be mostly about what women want, female privilege, etc, so the ruling class creates these feminist laws and anti-male discrimination to buy votes and gain "power". That guy is the definition of a eco-loony Marxist soyboy. When he started talking about "Mother's of Earth", that's when I knew it was rambling nonsense. Kind of sad, really. His worldview is the real horror show. Also, I agree men and women should provide for and protect kids (duh!), but we shouldn't go out of our way to protect women and it's hard to see how women can protect men. They should certainly start helping us though.

But potentially putting yourself in harm's way and doing the whole sacrifice thing doesn't necessarily make you more attractive to women, unless they're single and desperate or something, and it might not be worth it even then, if that's the only reason. This is absolutely brilliant and makes the wage gap myth even more misleading and disingenuous. It's pretty hard not to feel resentful towards women when reading stuff like this. Men should really learn not to pay for women's shit, but they never do due to these bullshit traditionalist misandric social norms.

Well ok, but free speech is allowed here. If someone is harassing someone else, that's a different issue.

Well that's a shame. Why the hell does each group want to steal the spotlight anyway? Surely it's best if they're allied and talk about each other's problems. Doesn't seem like they have any common sense. So much for LGBT. I bet the trans sub started this shit. Also, I wonder what was wrong with the original lesbians sub that they had to make another one. Did they not hate men and trans people enough in the first one?
/r/MensRights15/11/19 03:45 PM

If they care that much, they can just come here and see that those kinds of comments are downvoted and called out. But ok, agree to disagree.

I take it the first one isn't biased against trans, and the second one isn't a feminist cesspool?
/r/MensRights15/11/19 01:59 PM

It's a slippery slope though, and there's not nearly enough to the point where people can seriously say we're a hate group. Plus like I said, they don't need proof. Many people will believe them either way.
/r/MensRights15/11/19 01:57 PM

As I've said before to similar self-described "feminists", look at what feminism has historically been about in practice and ask yourself whether you really are a feminist. I don't think liberalism and feminism are compatible, at least not modern feminism.
/r/MensRights15/11/19 01:51 PM

That's not liberalism though, that's just pseudo-progressivism, which is what SJWs are.

After all, men's restrooms represent one of the last true "men's spaces" in society. Not even that is true anymore, thanks to trans people being allowed in male toilets. No offense to trans people, but I'm not exactly comfortable with someone who used to be female most of their lives in the same toilet as me. Anyway, this is a good idea. We should stick these kinds of posters wherever possible.

Nothing, except for ignoring and downvoting the few actual sexist MRAs. Banning them would be authoritarian. The vast majority of us are not sexist and whatever we do, the types of people against us will generalize all of us as being like that, even if they know it's not true.
/r/MensRights15/11/19 01:12 PM

all the misogynistic content on Reddit. Oh yeah, so much misogyny. That's why actual misogynistic subs like RedPill get banned or quarantined and misandry is allowed on 90% of the remaining subs. Granted, there is a bit of sexism here (forgive some guys for being angry), but nowhere near as much as feminist subs like TwoXchromosomes and many other subs. Maybe you should do some self-reflection too.
/r/MensRights15/11/19 12:45 PM

Hardly anyone takes your movement seriously The same can be said about feminism, my dear. All the media propaganda and anti-male discrimination doesn't change that.

I agree with some people here that say you're too young. I definitely wasn't into political shit when I was your age. But we need more like you smart, cool kids to fight this insanity that's everywhere. Also, one of the most common things they do when you bring up men's issues like suicide, violence, and legal discrimination, etc, is to victim-blame men, so try making the same argument about black people, and violence and poverty, etc and see what happens. Good luck and stay awesome!

First, the correct word is "asocial". People confuse that with antisocial all the time. Second, always retaliate. The time is past where we can just ignore them. Just do some more research so you're always prepared for their stupid arguments.

With the comics, it depends. In the past I'd say Marvel was better, but DC would trounce them now. Same with the animated stuff. With the characters, I think some Marvel characters, especially Iron Man and Cap, are on that same level now. They've reached that level of global awareness. So if it's about the characters, that debate would be more evenly matched, and more interesting. Ultimately though, I've always preferred the Marvel characters.

Ok, let's tackle these "anti-women" statements one by one, and see who they're really blaming. 1) Sounds they're like criticizing feminist rhetoric, not women. 2) Feminist rhetoric. 3) Got a point there. This is definitely a bad generalization. 4) The "women 20 years ago are vastly different" is pretty much true, but the "only choice of material is trash" was wrong. 5) The last part is true, but I agree the rest is a bad generalization. I'm sure they have heard different, but they're just too ideologically indoctrinated hence they don't want to hear other viewpoints. Plus even most men in the UK couldn't vote until the suffragist movement which gave the right to vote to men and some women. All women got the right shortly after. The standard history textbook story that focuses only on "women's rights" is inaccurate and only part of the much bigger picture.

Feminists and society's views on men are the reason why there's little male-specific mental health services in the first place. Do you think most men don't reach out? They do, but the same "advice" and platitudes and pills they give to women don't always work for men. Some just end up killing themselves regardless. The same is true for women. I don't know, probably the same reason some women who hate men are sometimes attracted to them nonetheless. We can't always control our instincts, no matter what our conscious mind might think. Maybe even then, they'd still be fine with just sleeping with them, instead of relationships. Or maybe they'd just go gay, lol.
/r/MensRights04/09/19 05:31 PM

And I said I've actually seen quite a few straight guys who seem to hate women rather than gays. I'm not saying there are no gay people like this, just that I very much doubt it's mostly gay guys who hate women. and the women who actually hate men are out there as well. I'm willing to bet they're mostly self-described feminists.

Above I Use misogyny literally to mean Hatred or extreme dislike of women in general / all women. I got this definition from google just now And again, I've noticed this is more prevalent among straight guys. Now, mere 'sexism' is kind of a different beast. It may be more common among those men who do actively seek out the company of women to behave in sexist ways, while than those who simply can't stand them rarely have occasion to display sexism. Maybe, but it doesn't contradict what I said. I…

Most men are one blow job away from becoming feminists FTFY. I don't think this is a problem among most MRAs. I also disagree that gay men are the only ones who hate women. In fact, gays seem to get along much better with women in general and I personally have seen more straight men who are sexists. I have also seen more lesbians who are sexist than straight women. But sometimes anecdotal evidence isn't really worth a damn, so there you go.

As if most companies care more about people's lives than pandering to certain people. It's ironic since encouraging shit like this will lead to less of these people being around to buy their products.

YES they are, if people can't even think rationally & question their own beliefs then they are sheep. Most people are sheep though. Only a relative few can actually think rationally to the point that they can overcome their biases. For most people, what feels right is right and the only reason humanity has progressed is due to the minority who actually use their brain and are willing to question things. We can spread awareness, but we can only do so much to get ignorant people to listen in the f…

Even in a "patriarchy" women have the better deal, since despite them being discriminated against when it comes to positions of power and wealth, their lives are still regarded as more valuable, and they don't actually need to do anything, since men will provide for them anyway.

They just said it happens on both sides. The extremists are pretty bad, but you can't deny it's even worse with the far left. Not surprising since they tend to be pretty authoritarian and are more likely to be against free speech. So I'd say they are more harmful.

We're not creating the abstract label of "feminists", they do that themselves. And the tweets that people post here (that admittedly people do way too much), are all from people that would probably describe themselves as a feminist. Granted, there are a lot of self-described "feminists" who are actually egalitarians but they somehow rarely call out the kinds of stuff that sexist feminists say, which is why informed people perceive feminism negatively, because the latter variety of feminists are …

Regarding trying to convince others, I know I very likely won’t convince the most radical women (or even men). Honestly i don't know what to say. On one hand, yeah i know why you would say that. I don't think most individual men really did behave like this though, this attitude was always present in society but it doesn't mean most men were actually hostile to more sensitive men. No, and not all traditionalists are the same. The point is that generally speaking, if you advocate for social change from the status quo or the "traditional norms" then you are being progressive. I don't even know if all the people who advocated for men's mental health were progressive. I didn't really see any campaig…

Why don't you just leave the group then? I'm sure you could find more "reasonable" groups on or outside FB. Also, feminism is not about "destroying sexism" when it's sexism to men, and there are many things wrong with the phrase "toxic masculinity", not least of which it's a term created in bad faith to denigrate the male traits that don't actively benefit women. And people have always been stupid and blind, it's just easier to notice it now cause of the Internet.

Right, so social conditioning encourages them to give themselves more privileges and more incentives to be less empathic. I don't think this contradicts what I said earlier.
/r/MensRights17/07/19 08:14 PM
2

So are you saying that instinct-wise, women are still more wired for empathy, but when it comes to general life, the fact they have more time to think about how to react means they seem less empathic? Does this imply reasoning (however shitty) can override emotional instincts in women? Are they even aware of this? This seems like it has huge implications for psychology. Also, I read somewhere that men are actually just as emotional, we just don't express it as much, which makes sense to me.
/r/MensRights17/07/19 08:00 PM

Yeah, it definitely seems like women are mainly extroverts and men mostly introverts, since the former are more interested in people and feelings, and the latter more interested in concepts and ideas, you know, the important things. :) We agree on this, at least.

I already know the difference between cognitive and emotional empathy, and would like to repeat that it seems men have more of both these traits, from personal experience at least. I don't think I agree with everything in the other post, but it is quite interesting.

Marx’s analysis was incorporated into the feminist movement, primarily through the theory of Intersectionality, which was developed in the 90’s. It was not a philosophical part of the movement before that. It certainly seems like it, with the whole oppression narrative and the authoritarian laws they passed, mostly during the "second-wave". I appreciate the input, but like I said, I would not call myself an egalitarian. That's fine. Just saying that's what you are, by definition. It's not about …

Interesting point of view. I would say not having the right to vote and being considered “property” is oppression, but I can see why you would think otherwise. Then men have just as much right to complain too, since most men in the west couldn't vote until the mid-19th century at the earliest, especially in the UK, where we couldn't vote until 1918, just a decade before most women could. Also, women might have been considered property but least society doesn't still treat you like a disposable u…

There can be no advancement for women made at the cost men. Do you mean "there can be no advancement for women made at the cost of men? If so, that's clearly bullshit and contradicts your next statement. As long as we share a society, whatever hurts one sex will always hurt the other. I beg to differ. Most women seem to get along just fine without worrying about male issues. So the movement for women’s rights and the movement for men’s rights are one and the same. Maybe in an ideal world. What w…

Excellent post, all this seems like common sense except the part where women apparently have more emotional empathy. How can this be the case, if women have a greater in-group bias and care more about their privileges than men's rights? Once upon a time, this might have been true, but society is currently encouraging women to be less empathic. It seems like just the opposite in real life, men both have more cognitive and emotional empathy. Other than that, great work.

Liberating both genders is only a good thing if you're not liberating one just for the other. As for women being "oppressed", they were only "oppressed" according to our modern-day sensibilities. You can't take today's morals and apply them to the past, otherwise there's a shit ton more we could complain about. But it was more about "protection", not about intentionally "oppressing" women. Black people were oppressed, gays were oppressed. Women were not, just because they couldn't do everything …

If you really want to advocate for equal rights, then don't call yourself a "feminist" or call it "feminism" because, you know, the name of the movement really doesn't sound like it's focused on both sexes equally. Feminism was never about that, and that's fine, but that means we need a specific movement for us too. If you want to start a movement that really does focus on equal rights, call it "egalitarianism", but I think there's already a sub for that.

Not exactly. It would not have died on the vine because it held legitimate argument for women such as employment, advancement, chauvinism, harassment. Those first two are correct. But as for the last points, this was not as widespread as feminists claim and men also faced and still face this issue. They feel uncomfortable with discussing anything that affects men. This is why feminists victim-blame men and part of why they keep up the "male privilege" narrative even though it's obvious bullshit. Women in general are not that aware of men's issues and so are not used to talking about it. It's always about them, as usual.

/r/MensRights21/06/19 12:09 PM

No, it doesn't. The first example is a privilege, your second example are basic rights. While I'm fine with gender roles and what happened historically, granting either gender privileges for what is a right is not okay. In some cases, taking actual privileges away and giving privileges in return in another area may be acceptable. In any case, society doesn't see it the way you do.

I don't know if this proves gynocentrism (I guess I would need your definition). It does because this bias obviously implies society is focused on women. My definition is the cognitive bias that generally causes society to care more for women and their needs. Here's the technical definition if you want it. Yes men gain less empathy but there are other areas where they are more advantaged (in general). While it's true that men historically had certain privileges too, women were always regarded as…
