Mine is like this, albeit somewhat more spiteful. She did once say that the stab wound to my arm "wasn't that serious" and that i should "not be such a bitch". She was a fuckin loon sober, can imagine how she was whilst drunk and, sometimes, high.... Twice now, someone has kicked the absolute shit out of her and she's gone to the Police and claimed it was me. Give the Police their due, they've got a battered woman in front of them who claims to know her attacker, so they go racing round to my ho…

Nice work! Looks like I jumped the gun so to speak...

I'd like to think the judge then applied the "so what else?" rule at that point, but I'm highly skeptical....

Mate, your daughters are teenagers and they'll see her for what she is and what her actions are. If I was you, I'd focus on them for now as they're most likely going to be struggling and they'll need all your support. You've got this. As for your wife? To quote True Lies "ditch the bitch"

Because neither of them are citizens, they both have visas and its just the child who is a citizen (guessing they were born in the US).

It's a mix of both. When folks changed the sub, the philosophy went along with it as that was now the public perception....

Which was how it was originally, very much a space for men who'd come out of long term relationships to rediscover who they were again now that they were single. A lot of the initial posts were fairly benign, mostly stuff relating to eating steak, going fishing, hobbies, etc. Then sure as shit a few of the more toxic users turned up and basically went on permasend and effectively drowned out the more rational users. Their ideology was just hatred against women, completely against the original et…

If that is in the best interests of both you and your kids, then yes. If it isn't, then no. Only you can answer that question. However, being told to "get out, take nothing and figure it out", especially when she plans to transfer the house into her name afterwards just isnt cricket and I think you know that. Whoever has been telling you that does not have your best interests in mind.

She has NUMEROUSLY told me to "get out, take nothing and figure it out" Mate, look at everything you've posted to this point and read the above again. The "Fair and equitable" ship has sailed long ago. If you've put time, energy and money into improving the house, then you need to do what is in both yours and your kids best interests, not hers and her family's.

In honesty, it's not an area I have much experience with, but I would imagine things are not really that cut and dried.

About a year or two after marrying my current wife, my ex did get in touch wanting to talk and potentially reconcile some things. I mean, it had only been 10 years since she threatened me with a knife, had assaulted me several times, went to the Police trying to claim I'd beaten her up whilst I was at sea and then dropped in an anonymous complaint that I had beaten my current wife whilst I was away in the Far East for work (current Mrs Wizard is still pissed at that, she was in her comfy jimjams…

It becomes a greater concern when the parent is suspected of crossing state lines or could flee internationally. Isn't that when the likes of the FBI usually get involved and it goes from state to federal case?

Stbxw, her sister, and her mom were demanding that I cease all communication with my parents. When I said no is when they went ahead and asked for a divorce. What on earth do they think your folks did to them?

perhaps with the right kind of counseling she could get over it She's not going to make that change until she wants to make that change. How long are you prepared to wait for that?

Yup. What annoys me now is I can't find the bloody post again, as it was a fairly informative one. I should have saved it really....

There was a good thread ages ago, I saw it through best of that explained how these groups became toxic and what was scary was how quickly it could happen and how few people it took to make it happen. They used MGTOW way as an example, as that did go sideways from it's original benign posts of "Hey, I went fishing today" to "all women are scum". FDS is/has gone down same path, just matter of time before they're banned too.

Depends on mothers citizenship and whether kid has it too as there will be a visa element. Main concern would be parental kidnap by mother. Court decisions can go either way in UK, but Mum wanting to take kid abroad is unlikely to get go ahead. The judgement should theoretically be what is in the child's best interest, moving abroad and away from Dad may not be it.

Are there any actual transactions coming or going from her account? If everything is in cash and there are no transactions, then that is also evidence of something funky going on....

Hold up, she filed a contempt charge because you didn't pay more than you were legally required to?

This may not be a popular opinion here, however before going nuclear it may be worth trying to resolve it amicably first? OP doesn't say if the kids were left with the ex's BF for 5-10 minutes or 5-10 hours. The next time you speak with the ex, OP could just ask about it politely, gently remind her of the provision if it was 5-10 hours and perhaps even ask to meet the guy if things with the ex are serious as he is around OP's kids. However, all of this goes on the assumption that everyone can ta…

To be honest, I wouldn't bother with the defamation stuff. The best revenge is to live well, and you can do that once the divorce is sorted out. My approach to this would be to have the lawyer send her a certified letter saying "you've received the docs, you've had more than enough time for you and your legal team to review. The house sale is on hold until those docs are signed and if we don't have them back by x date, then we go to trial" and then just follow through.
