It's fine to say 'do five approaches a day', 'do one hundred approaches in a month', etc., but one hundred approaches seems steep, and five approaches seems fine for today, but every day? I've always felt like canned openers are disingenuous (not that they are, but the fact that I feel that way means they're probably not going to work for me) and that simply saying "Hi!" is very hit or miss and depends on me being in a really good mood to pull off properly. I've been trying to figure out a way of making that initial connection without feeling silly or put on the spot too much. This would be perfect. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't committing some unspoken faux pas by assuming that most people have better things to do than check up on each other between in-person meetings.
