Is she a Christian? Do you both attend church regularly? Her attitude is blatantly against all biblical instruction of a wife, a spouse, and a Christian in general. If she isn't responding to biblical correction from you or a church leader, I would do as the above comment said. Treat her as an unbeliever and allow her to leave.

I don't have much to add beyond this but I wanted to point out if she responds to leadership, but only if she agrees with it, she doesn't respond to leadership.

I mean if nothing else you'd think she would change direction, try to get away if someone was chasing her. Get off the path you're on and watch him continue on his merry way

I'm pretty dang far from any kind of feminist, definitely not terf. You've got no basis on whether I care about women or not, so calm down there.

I don't see how women raping women has anything to do with a man wanting to get there to rape women too

They're claiming transgender status so they can rape women in prison, not for friendlier jails

I don't want to say she's not saved or anything, don't take it that way because I don't know anything about her. But that doesn't sound truly repentant to me either. I do focus on repentance more heavily than the average person, but it really is important to recognize the depth of our depravity in order to fully realize the depth of God's mercy and grace. And it really doesn't sound like she thinks what she did is actually wrong, she may just have the mindset of "well I'm a Christian so now I do…

I know you covered this, but she's repentant of that past, right? Personally I don't think I'd be so comfortable casually discussing my deepest sins like it wasn't a big deal. (no judgment to her or you of course, that's just me)

Have you spoken to her about how it bothers you when she brings it up? Like others have said, it's possible she doesn't respect you or something, but she also could be unaware that it bothers you at all. Discuss this with her and ask her to not casually talk about her sexual past anymore. It may be best to treat both of your sinful pasts as if it didn't happen. You're new creations, so treat that past as dead.

I agree. And making an apolitical Christian subreddit take a political stance is the issue

What annoys me is his statements that RP ideology is incompatible with the Bible and his intentions to ban anyone who disagrees with him on that. I'm really not active in here or rpc, I'm fairly active in Christian marriage. Just seems like he wants to be trigger happy and impose his political positions on the entire subreddit.

Well since it wasn't a relationship question I wasn't sure if it was allowed. And I saw a mod say on another question to post it here and cross-post to the main sub if you're unsure if it's allowed. That way the cross-post gets deleted, not the whole post

It seemed to be implied that it was white on black only, but not explicitly.

I used to be in staffing and I never cared or noticed what gender the people I hired were, the only exception being if it was a job that required significant manual labor.

Curious, do you think it's OK if men strive for an all-male workforce?

So if your pastors focusing on shaming a particular culture he's lost it. If the pastor is getting cowed by political correctness, probably it's not going to go well. That's the thing is that I'm not sure if he is. He's very openly against PC culture, and he's never outright said anything about white guilt or things like that. His little speech just came across to me like it was almost CRT. I think my best option right now is to try to speak to him directly about CRT and what exactly he meant.

I'm trying to figure out who in the church I can connect with to get an answer on it. I'm still relatively new to this church and don't know who in the staff would be able to tackle my questions. That's my preferred response. I really don't want to leave the church, I'd prefer to try to address it and only leave when I know for sure I need to.

What if you found a wife that was also interested in your ministry and you could pursue that goal together?

It does refer to a sword, however we have to look at the context of that verse. Jesus tells them to buy a sword so that they may be counted among the transgressors. He wants to keep them from getting arrested and killed. They reply that they have two swords between them all and he says that's enough. However, I agree with the other commenters' points that Christianity is not pacifist

Idk if you're referring to the Schwarzenegger/Stallone types or John wick type. But either way, those are real people and they're really that good.

I think it shouldn't be a double standard on gender, just look at each case individually and make a judgment on it.

The marketplace of ideas will rule on that. If they're saying things that insane, then the public perception of them will decide how awful they are and reddit need not get involved. If the public doesn't have an issue with them saying those things, then we have bigger issues
/r/MensRights03/05/19 03:57 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
