This is literally a rule for male NHS staff below a certain grade. Even two men can't be behind a closed door with a female patient. I always kept the door open in these situations. Was still accused of rape twice by patients. To be fair I did work with mental health cases.

It's quite an odd thing but I lived in Lisbon recently and you actually do see a lot of female bin collectors there. I'd estimate it at maybe around 20-30% where I lived. I did a double take the first time I saw a woman doing this job but then I noticed it more and more. No idea why this is the case. I've never seen it anywhere before. That guy looks pretty damn tough to me. His technique might not be as good as a pro boxer but he still looks fairly handy. He'd be far too much for any keyboard warrior out there. I honestly think she did quite well. She took a fair ol' beating and showed plenty of heart but probably got what she deserved.

I quite honestly don't want to be racist or sexist. I can see why it upsets people and I think that's a fair enough position. What we are seeing now though is people weaponising racism and sexism. They're using the accusation as a cloak for their own racism and sexism and it's sickening.

You've sort of highlighted the problem with the whole thing. If someone wants to make up stupid rules about what is and isn't offensive I'm reasonably happy to go along with it because I'm pretty easy going and I don't really want to offend anyone. It's the hypocrisy that gets me though. The hat is irrelevant to getting punched in the face in the same way as what a woman wears is irrelevant to being sexually assaulted. Do you understand yet? I don't think it's quite as straight forward as that. If you go up to a woman and grab them by the crotch and they laugh and say "So what?" is it sexual assault?
