Their operating margin hovers around 10-20% so it actually costs them a considerable amount of money to mine, cut, grade, distribute the stones. Where you get ripped off is at the jewlery store in the mall, who tend to have almost double the prices of buying online. Resisting arrest? Yes. Wrong about her rights? Yes. A direct threat to the safety of the cop? Not really. She wasn’t armed, she wasn’t charging at the cop, she was simply loudly making it known that she will not get out of the vehicle.
