I'm going to assume you're basing that on an article sparked off by Larry Summers statement about variability in genders. I think the study which linked gender variance to intelligence is a bit flawed. Intelligence is very much a product of ones environment. Societal factors in intelligence typically come from positive and negative reinforcement, along with having the available means to study. Professor Diamond’s main concern is to reject any simple racial explanation of the apparent differences…

The numbers he used were for the general population. You can't say BMI valid for one group and not another, that's not solid science. I agree BMI isn't a good method to determine if someone is overweight.
