You do you propose that she pay damages AND go to prison at the same time? 99% of people come out of prison up to their eyeballs in debt. Also, you can't sue someone who is pennyless.

You're spot on, there is a distinct lack of fair representation between PoC and men, like women are the only ones suffering, considering that men pay the vast majority into the system, whilst women are the biggest recipients of welfare payments (which makes sense considering the rising number of single motherhood).

Men's rights is not a left/right, white/black issue. It's a men's issue that affects all men through all walks of life and from all cultures and races. If you make a correlation between MRA and the "far-right", perhaps you view anyone left of centre as far-right and perhaps you're judging a person as a whole based on one or two interactions on a controversial topic. You've well and truly swallowed the identity politics pill and it's doing you no favours, my friend. What I've found is that those …

I have no issue with abortion for reasons such as rape, incest, mother or fetal mortality. What I take issue with is the notion that babies are disposable like garbage because it's not convenient. Abortion is now being used as birth control instead of the last resort like it used to be. It's not teaching people to be responsible when they can "just get an abortion". And if men can't have an opinion about abortion, don't ask us to financially contribute to the child once it's born. Seems like wom…

Great piece, OP. I think further context is required. It's easy to state that black people are X times more likely than X person to be stopped/killed/arrested etc. At what rate do black people commit crime? If white people commit the majority of crime, it stands to reason that white people would be stopped or arrested more than a different group. Not to say that all your facts aren't well-sourced, but it's easy to make an inference on incomplete data. I prefer to follow crime rates in X communit…

That's the thing. People who hate MAGA and Trump supporters don't hate them because Trump is an ideology. They hate them because the left and a large portion of Dems have an ideology that if you're not left wing, you're a racist, sexist, homophobic fascist. In my experience, the MAGA hat wearers have been far more tolerant of Dems than the other way around. I blame the media stoking tensions between groups.

You're being rather disingenuous by omitting key information. Yes, technically a women can not rape a man, because rape involves the penetration of mouth, vagina or anus with a penis. We do however have offences under S4 Sexual Offences Act 2004 Causing Sexual Activity Without Consent, which carries a maximum life sentence.... Just like rape. You give the impression that if a woman forces a man to penetrate without consent, no offence has been committed. That is manifestly untrue.

I have shaved with a straight razor with nearly 20 years. Dovo 5/8 hollow ground. Michell's Woolfat soap and Proraso preshave cream. Nivea aftershave balm afterwards. I also rarely wear aftershave because it dries your skin. It is also beneficial to wash your face with a good quality face wash to get rid of the shaving soap in your pores. I rarely get post-shave spots now.

You're absolutely right on everything. I was merely observing the way in which the act was worded, although I do stand by my second point that there is no description of causing A to penetrate B or vice-versa. Of course all Acts are subject to statutory interpretation, and it would be absurd for a court to refuse to punish a woman who forced a man to penetrate her just because it doesn't explicitly state it. Golden rule would obviously apply. On a separate note, I've always wanted to get into th…

The purpose of the section is clear, however, the format is poor. The first is the wording: (1) A person (A) commits an offence if— (a) he intentionally causes another person (B) to engage in an activity, The second is that the presumption is that the penetration occurring by A's conduct, not B's. Nowhere in that section does it stipulate that causing A to penetrate B without his consent is an offence, save for the first subsection which is proceeded by the pronoun "he".

I am not saying that women can't be predators, what I am saying is that under the English legal definition of rape, rape is the penetration of mouth, vagina, or anus *with a penis* where the victim does not consent and the offender doesn't reasonably believe that the victim gave consent. You are arguing with the choir here. I am arguing that mechanically when a woman "rap…

Should I even dignify your comment with an actual answer? I speak only from the English jurisprudential perspective, so your local laws may view rape differently than ours. Everthing that I said was factually accurate. You just didn't like to hear an opinion that you disagree with because you believe that women are capable of rape, which they are not. Feel free to challenge me, but leave the ad hominem at the door chief, because it's hardly conducive to the conversation.

Here's the issue. Men penetrate, women do not. A woman can force or coerce a male to penetrate, but legally, a woman can not rape because she doesn't (typically) possess a penis. A woman can penetrate digitally or with a foreign object, but that is still not rape, regardless of the lack of consent. What we need is the forced to penetrate punishments to be upgraded both legally and socially to the same level as rape and penetrating someone against their will.

Thanks for sharing OP. I am eternally grateful to women like you and the mods that allow women like you to share their thoughts and observations. Issues effect both sexes differently, and just because we advocate for awareness of men's issues, doesn't mean that we want to remove women's issues. They're exclusive of each other with lots of overlap. It's not like there's only so many rights to share and both sexes are fighting over a finite resource. We need more women to speak up and share their …

I would argue that proportionality is built into human nature. We wouldn't consider beheading our children for being disrespectful or drag someone out of their car to beat them to death if they cut us up on the road, would we? So why is our sense of proportionality to be dismissed because a woman has assaulted ua when we know that we are capable of far greater violence and harm? I'm no clinical psychologist, but I do believe that personal responsibility is paramount, no matter to stimulus. You c…

And you think that's right? We don't prosecute children as adults, which is why our prisoner per capita figures in the UK are much lower than the US's. Also, I didn't advocate or infer an age pass, I just believe in proportionality and looking at offenders on a case by case basis instead of a broad brush for all. But, what do I know? You are correct. By legal definition in the UK (rightly or wrongly), only men are capable of rape, because only men possess a penis. If a woman forces you to penetrate or penetrates with an object, that is not rape.
/r/AntiFeminists29/08/19 02:32 PM

No, it's more an issue of control than force, but the definition of rape is solely about penetration without consent.

No. Why would someone ask such a thing? If I do not consent, it does not matter if it's a man or a woman - attractive or otherwise.
/r/AntiFeminists29/08/19 10:07 AM

I take issue with the article describing tape as "forceful". Rape is a crime of consent, or lack thereof. A penetrated B's mouth, vagina or anus without B's consent and A does not reasonably believe that B consented to A's penetration. Most rape is not forceful, it is heavy pressure, coercion, blackmail or merely not stopping in the heat of the moment. That is what constitutes rape, and force is not a factor.
/r/AntiFeminists28/08/19 04:59 PM

Came to say exactly this. Ethics and morality are concerned with what ought to be. Law is concerned with what is. Clearly there is an overlap between the two theories, but one is entirely subjective, and by virtue can not be coerced. The other requires adherence under the threat of punishment.

You'd be surprised. Paedophiles don't typically snatch or kidnap children they intend to abuse. They coerce and gain the victim's trust as a "prelude" to the abuse. That way the abuse can be ongoing and is substantially less risky than kidnapping that attracts media attention. Most abusers are known to the victim (family, neighbour, teacher, family friend etc).

Please don't lynch me for playing devil's advocate here. The law states that Rape is the forceful penetration of a mouth, vagina or anus by a penis. Women do not have a penis and by virtue, cannot commit rape. What we do need is the sentencing guidelines for sexual assault and penetration by object to be revised to compensate for the disparity between female on male rape and male on female rape. I don't think that this petition is the right way to rectify this inequity.

Is underage sex a strict liability offence in the US like it is in the UK? Underage people cannot consent to sex under the law, hence why we have laws to protect minors. Next, it will be younger boys being molested and the left will insist that the sex was consensual. Disgusting double standard.

Suzanne Mason, public education coordinator for the Niagara Sexual Assault Centre, attended part of the hearing and expressed shock at the decision. “That is very scary that you can go to police, have them believe you, have charges laid (and still be sued),” In Britain, we have a man who was cleared for rape, yet must inform police 24 hours before he has sex with a new partner. I have seen clients with a formal caution placed on the Sex Offender's Register. Offenders must be punished, and that g…

Viagra is not a blood thinner, it is a vasodilator. It expands blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure unlike like actual blood thinners, which "water down" blood to allow it t pass easier through clogged arteries. Some thin the blood and prevent blood cells from sticking together in the arteries and veins, whilst others increase the amount of time it takes for clots to form, thus preventing their formation. Perhaps, but it would be argued that their actions demonstrated direct intent, not oblique intent which is the mens rea threshold for recklessness. Direct intent is part of the test for mens rea for murder The majority of cases will be quite straight forward and involve direct intent. Direct intent can be said to exist where the defendant embarks on a course of conduct to bring about a result which in fact occurs. Eg D intends to kill his wife. To achieve that result he gets a knife from the kit…

Not true. The only two tests for murder are actus reus (the act) and mens rea (the guilty mind). She deliberately intended to give chase, hit him to knowingly cause serious injury, and then dove away with no regard for his life. She was reckless at a minimum, but attempted murder is certainly within the scope. Means, motive and opportunity are what the police use to gather evidence for the CPS to successfully prosecute someone. This is a different test to the one used to determine if a person is…

If there's one thing that fills my soul with joy, it's not cat GIFs, baby photos, booze or even an early morning sunrise on a summer day. It's watching filthy ANTIFA Commies getting their asses handed to them and watching them cry like babies afterwards, whilst they pretend to be the victim and not provocative and aggravating shit stains that should be euthanised for the common good.

Huffpost are cancerous man haters. Most women that I know are balanced between men's and women's rights..... just like most men that I know. I get that feminism was borne out of necessity, but there is a gender disparity in all forms and most of the SJW live in western countries and have never suffered the kind of abuse that women in Arab and African countries endure every day. This whole 'men vs women' thing has evolved into a virus that brainwashes young people into thinking that the opposite …

I'm an English Law student who is currently studying to be a Police Station Representative. One of the first things that they tell you is that it's rare that you can talk your way out of trouble. The police are good at tricking and tripping you up with your own words, ask you the same question 12 different ways and they look for ANY inconsistencies in your story. Always have a legal professional present.

I like this one, because I can relate to it. I had my step-father at my house yesterday in tears because of the way my mother is (I don't talk to her anymore). She verbally abuses him and threatens to stab him on a regular basis, because she has mental health issues that she refuses to get help for. He's loyal to a fault. He told me yesterday that he sleeps in my old bedroom and barricades the door shut, in case she tries to attack him when he's sleeping (with one eye open). My step-father and I…

That over-opinionated little tart thinks that she is the moral standard that we should all aspire to be like. She should stick to talking about her genitals, and leave the politics to every American voter who has just as much right to pick their next leader as her, regardless whether she agrees with them or not. Did she blame the white racists for electing Obama twice? Damn, I'm not even American and she aggravates the holy fuck outta me. She reminds me of those 7-year-old kids that try to chast…

I think that a punishment for rape such as that is HUGELY disproportionate to the offence. Could you imagine the same punishment for female teachers who have sex with their underage pupils? Rapists should be raped, and have their power and control taken from them. Mutilating someone takes us down the path that ISIS is all too familiar with. Our humanity separates us from groups like that.

Under strict liability, there is no requirement to prove fault, negligence or intention. I don't want to start talking about mens rea or cunningham, just to explain the concept, but here is an example: If you believed that she was X age, but happened to be under the age of consent, you are still liable for that offence. This is the case in the UK anyway. Here is some more information on the subject http://e-lawresources.co.uk/Strict-liability.php

Videos like this make me feel relieved that my ex is warm and friendly to me, especially around our sons. We never talk poorly about each other to the kids, even if we get into a heated discussion. My sons mean everything to me and I would never poison them against their mother. Visa-versa.
