Historically raping women was a crime against the father or husband of the woman because it decreased the woman's value. Men having sex didn't decrease their value, so it wasn't considered a crime or really even something that could happen. It's changing, but think about how long it took for women to even be allowed to work similar jobs as men or have any sort of financial rights. We're talking 70+ years of fighting for that minor change. Beliefs like this take forever to change.

There was an entire group of people there so it would be pretty easy to detain everyone in the situation we were discussing. Actually, if you look at the National Exoneration Registry for examples of false accusation stories there are four main motivations - personal gain, mental illness, revenge, and the need for an alibi - of these, only one is explicitly intended to cause harm. I took a look at all 52 confirmed instances and a surprisingly large number of them are children trying to avoid getting in trouble. You should definitely do research before making a statement like that.

Oh sure, but that doesn't mean that particular subreddits can't have a high concentration of particular types of negative comments depending on their overall character. My comment were the posts in general. Not the comments on the posts. OK, there's definitely a difference between the two. Stories are regularly upvoted and absolutely hated in the comments. I think there's a large fraction of people who upvote based on headline alone.

There's a cool underlying reason for that. The digit ratio is the product of testosterone exposure in utero. So basically, the ratio as a crude marker for in utero testosterone exposure. And finally, since testosterone exposure in utero correlates with a ton of other physiological conditions, the digit ratio correlates with those conditions too.

Basically, they took images of the hands of people present at a feminist event, measured the digit ratio, and did an analysis based on the assumption that the people there were feminist activists. I get that you're half joking, but I don't like the idea that men are mainly motivated by sex.
