21	Numbers on false rape accusation ? Rape stats will pretty much never be reliable. Many of them go unreported. And it can be pretty hard to prove the ones that do. Some of them are regretted sex, likely influenced by alcohol. I wouldn't bother trying to use stats to prove any sort of point about rape accusations. However, you should make a distinction between sexual assaults and rape. Many of the stats you will read will reference sexual assaults, but this is actually a misleading way to report sex crimes. 39	Sabina Nessa The male violence angle is kinda hysterical. Yes, most violence is committed by men, but that doesn't make it a problem that males as a group are responsible for. These people don't seem to understand that there are 8 billion people in the world, and 4 billion of them are men. There's no reasonable way to hold "men" as a group accountable, no way for men as a group to do anything about it. The world is imperfect, and bad people, psychopaths, exist. 4	What do you think of this explanation of the "patriarchy"? The problem for me is that the focus is always entirely on the ways men need to change, as if there are not ways women need to change. There are a lot of ways women reinforce patriarchal norms that do not get much attention. The fact that most women don't "date down" assumes that man should be the breadwinner. A lot of women dont like "weak" men. In many ways, our patriarchal norms are entangled with gaining women's approval. 9	"Feminism has done more for men that MRA's ever did" The only somewhat positive change for men I see coming out of feminism is that it has become more socially acceptable for men to be openly sensitive and to wear a wider variety of clothing in some social circles, but that's really the only benefits I can think of. And these benefits only seem to help gay and non-binary males. 2	I wish I was wrong I've encountered this same attitude from people. People who believe in patriarchy don't really want to argue about anything. To them, it is easier to just go along with the narrative. Just pointing out the ways that life sucks for men too made me a social pariah.
