This so terrible. Turkey needs to change its laws and move forward with a more progressive way of life. Shaming these gay men by forcing their families to undergo interrogating is totally unethical.

Because they will be treated terribly. Many men who are gay in the Turkish military and even the American military have been gang beaten and even killed. One man I know in the US army told me that a gay male colleague of his was gang raped in the barracks by homophobic men… who gang raped him for it.
