It is actually a 'Motorized Bicycle,' which is it's own thing, separate from Scooters and Mopeds. And, there is no clear process for getting one registered, despite them being stated in the laws all over the place. Weird stuff. I'll figure it out. I bet the DMV will give me a VIN if I can figure out how to put a brake light on it.

I actually am doing a bicycle engine kit. Sadly, my ridiculous state actually does require a title for a motorized bicycle. However, I will try and meet the challenge. The DMV doesn't scare me- ^^That ^^much...

Not one bit. Sadly, we haven't got the space at our house to keep it, and I can't afford to move out yet. Gotta take it step by step.

To clarify, my parents have told me many times that I am "too smart to work a blue collar job."

Thanks. I think that might be an accurate assessment. I probably need to find some way to stimulate my senses. What do you think? 5 Gum? Heroin? Frankly, I should probably just get off my ass and get some sort of YouTube channel running. I think it is now more of something I need to do than want to do. Thanks for the comment. I really do appreciate it.

I think I understand, at least a bit. Part of why I want a Corvette is as something I can spend my time on that I will enjoy. I have always enjoyed working with my hands. I don't want a 'Vette for freedom. If I wanted that, which I do, I will get a motorcycle. However, I want a C3 Corvette because it is a car that speaks to me like no other. I have never seen another car, except maybe the '69 Camero, that I looked at and just thought, 'I just love how that looks, and I want to own and drive that…

Thanks! I don't know for sure if it is the right car for me, or if I am the right owner for it, but I sure hope I can own a C3 someday soon. I really appreciate the advice. Drive safe and have fun!

Do you have any advice on finding a mechanic who can give it a really good look? I don't want to buy it until I know for sure what I'm getting into. However, I have no idea where to start in finding someone who knows the ins and outs of a C3. If I had to guess, I would think maybe the local Chevy dealership would be a good place to start.

Right now, it's just an impulse, really. If it lasts, and I can get everything together in order to buy her, I will.

Perhaps it is consumerism that has pushed it into the public sphere? Maybe just the increase in the promiscuity of, well, everything, as well. I assume the same will happen with Sex Dolls and the Sex Robots after them. In America, money is God.

I really wish Reddit didn't ban them. It was nice when they just stayed in their own box and no one cared.

You are also probably forgetting the cost of training. Add 12-20 k for a Cessna, and 6-10 k for a light sport like a Cub. the Airbike is an ultralight, so the price is the price, assuming I can find someone to train my, which I can't where I live. Oh, and I have to live somewhere I can build and fly it, which I don't, because my state has extremely crowded airspace. But, it is only 10k, which is really nice.

First, this isn't a 'sect.' It is a discussion forum. The difference? Frankly, not being a bunch of edgy teens who are all 'durr hurr wahmen are evull.' It's just a more mature environment, and has more mature discussions. The core ideas are the same, though, I guess.

They're cute, I'd like to have the ability to actually go somewhere. Helos aren't known for their range, especially small ones.

Welding, electrician work, construction, mechanic (I highly advise finding a cheap aviation mechanic school like the one in CT.) These are all skilled, hands on trades. It will be a very long time before robots will be repairing car and airplane engines.

There are a actually shit ton of blue collar jobs that have no threat from automation or outsourcing and have a huge demand for new workers. Picking up a trade usually isn’t too bad an idea.

It doesn't matter. If something is not falsifiable, there is not much point wasting time talking about it unless it has subjective value, like religion. I guess if you want to start a new religion, go ahead.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
