Good take home tests are fairly resistant to this. It's history, so it will be essay questions.

Wait, is there not a difference between climate change and counting how often people go to the bathroom? Who are you, Dwight Schrute?

Not necessarily. Men have been shown to negotiate higher salaries/raises, so they are likely to be higher paid in areas where a salary is more negotiable.

They won't be entirely the same, but there are likely some larger societal issues at play if women consistently do not pursue certain careers. Studying the wage gap is more than the numbers, it's looking into why women don't end up in those higher paying positions.

If by the "sword's edge of human advancement" you mean sending nudes discretely, then absolutely.

Sure, it might never be totally even, but I doubt it's the 90/10 split we see on computer science today.

Old academics would be old people in academia.

Sure, but you'd also probably have to deal with much more sexual harassment, so it's a mixed bag.

You can tell good clothes without a label. It's in fit and construction.

If you're old money you'd hope to not be showing any labels. Hugo boss and Ralph Lauren are for the aspirational who want to look wealthy but have no clue what they're doing.

Ehh, there are a lot of sluts in the UK. I studied abroad there and getting laid was perhaps even easier.

Get out of your hometown, it's time to move on. Find a job somewhere fun, and move there. We all have to do it some point unless you want to be that guy who sticks around his hometown forever.

I'm moving cross country this summer and I'm psyched. I went to school pretty far away, and was away from home for all four summer breaks. That's what growing up is. Even had I gone to school close to home, it's not like is ever visit them outside of breaks. I've got my own shit to do.

Huskies aren't that hard to handle. They're the only dog my parents have ever had. As long as you have some decent free time and don't mind having hair on everything they're pretty easy.

Ehh, I always found dancing to be an easy way to hook up with chicks. It's great for those times where grinding would be socially unacceptable, but you're looking for a way to increase physical contact.

In the UK is surprisingly common to see highland formal wear. But I don't think that's where OP lives...

Great suggestions. Most the suggestions here are basically just self help books.

The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbons. Excellent and timeless.

It's absurd. It's worse than Gibbons citing Christianity and a belief in the afterlife for the fall.

But the metric the matters is debt:GDP ratio, where the US is middling compared to the first world. Japan is currently over 300% debt:GDP.

But not really. Despite their being differences, the only meaningful break you could argue for would be between Rome and the Byzantine empire, though the date for that would be hard to settle on.

Sometimes, after a long day at work, I just want to lay back and have someone else do all the work. Or if I'm really hammered.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
