That's what I was referring to. If going to the gym only gets you to the 5-6 range then that makes the average dude less than a 5... When 5 should be the average of a 1-10 scale?

If hitting the gym only gets you to 5-6 then the average man is skewing the average lol 😮

So by that logic isn't looks more important because it's the prequisite to get attention let alone keep it? I'm not saying the rest isn't important, but without looks isn't this a bit of a "trying to run before you can walk" situation? Genuinely asking

In your opinion... How important is all this if you don't have the looks to even get your "foot in the door"?

I needed this. I've been doing piss poor in University and now I'm trying to get my shit together. This year I moved into an apartment with my father because he got a job in the same city where I study and honestly it's one the best things to happen while I was at Uni. It meant I couldn't fuck around (and I was fucking around in a boring way; no parties or sex), and my grades improved. He's gone now; new job and and all. Although it was a few weeks ago I've started falling back into my old habit…

Sometimes I wonder if I'm just lucky or blind to not see this shit happening at all. I can say I've never had someone go radical SJW on me, but I feel like the number of people around me who have such stories of this happening to them have increased.

Yeah, but I don't want to spend time to meet up if she happens to be unattractive. My time is limited between work and school. I realize I'm no hot shot but my time is important to me.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The waste of time and dude thing all together. I just wanted to see if anyone had dealt with this before and how it turned out for them if they did meet. No sense in holding out for a fairy tale; in this case this match being a fair maiden.

20 year old born and raised in Canada; Hispanic ethnicity from parents. Growing up I was surrounded by white people and was reminded of the fact that I was "different" in subtle ways. So I always found myself "observing" them but not really feeling like one. In other words, I knew how they did things and why but I usually never fully partook in those activities or shared the same manner of thinking. Right now I'm studying in Toronto, and I've taken this habit to other groups of people. For the m…

Is the sigma just something you born as? Here you can learn to be alpha but sigma seems to be something you just are, based upon what I'm reading. Not sure if people try to learn to be a sigma, since most people aren't usually looking to be a "lone wolf".

In the moment I went along with it, like I said I even shook his hand afterwards and I'd say we parted on friendly terms. In retrospect all these thoughts I posted in the OP came to me. Maybe I'm over thinking the situation and what I did was fine.

Is Trump simply an alpha male or THE alpha male? On TRP I've been getting the impression that there is only one way to be alpha and that's basically to be agressive and unapologetic. I may be wrong, since I'm relatively new here but that's the impression I'm getting. Personally, I don't really like Trump. I like how he's seems more honest than the other candidates and he has some valid points. However these ideas, like getting illegal immigration under control, come with "plans" that are just so…

Speaking of ethnicity where do Hispanics fall? I've seen talk of Black dudes, Asian dudes, and Indian dues but I haven't seen any mention of Hispanic dudes. Granted, Hispanic is obviously not a "race" so does skin colour play a role there? Or do stereotypes about Hispanics come into play? What's the general consensus, if any?

But these personal stories would show traits I think are negative right? That's how you avoid direct judgement, from what I'm understanding.

What about them sitting on the bench is beta? I'll admit, Neuer does seem a little childish but Wolffe seems fine. Afterward they just seem like two normal dudes. Does alpha mean sitting perfectly straight up with your chest puffed out at all times? Since I don't speak German I can't comment on how they sounded beta. Germans just sound mad all the time to me. I'm genuinely confused here.

In the Spanish system the father's name comes before the mother's for children's last names. As far as I'm aware, neither parent changes their last names.
/r/TheRedPill02/02/16 10:04 PM

Oh I prefer it as well because the Spanish method is much more logical than simply being "gender neutral". It's useful for determining immediate lineage and, possibly, how related you are to others. Hyphens would certainly get weird without the dropping of female last names in the creation of a child's last name.

Well... I feel that being part of an adult is being able to listen to opinions that are different than yours. If these two sides simply cover their ears, go "la la la" to block out the sides' voice, and then go off to form their own clubhouses... it seems counter productive to discussion and childish. People looking for answers should be able to look at both sides and make their own decision.

They do actually get a middle name. I know because everyone in my (Peruvian) family got a middle name. Well maybe it's only Peru, I don't know. While you are right about the dropping part, I'd like to specify that dropping the female last name is applied to both mother and father so that the kid gets a "new" double last name. Parents keep their full double last names. My last name is a hyphenated version of the double last name because Canadian officials would not allow for two last names. So my…

...What the hell? Never in my life have I heard of ANY family being this messed up. No one in my house would dare assault my father or my mother... What was going on? I think your sister is just psychotic, no RP terminology here. You should report this to the police and get the hell out of that house.

Jesus Christ that's terrifying. It feels like women are weaponizing their sexuality now to literally ruin men's lives. At this point I feel that girls in college could probably threaten male profs with rape accusations to get what they want instead of actually sleeping with them. I don't know how common the prof-student scenario is, but I still feel like rape accusations seem more and more like a "weapon".

Could you point out said animals? Primates other than ourselves tend to be led by males. Lion prides are led by males. Wolves are led by an alpha male. I can't think of any examples were females lead the group. It's either because there is a lack of such animals or I'm ignorant on the subject. By the way matrilineal also refers to kinship based on the mother's line. It's not a form of "rule", just one way to see whom is related to who.

Soooo... Use dad jokes? That example wasn't too far off from a dad joke. I'm confused, are dad jokes just some form of amused mastery?

Let people decide what's too much work for them. If a dude wants to make his life better, don't say "oh you're naturally beta so don't even bother". You're inclination is to let things get worse (I.e. The slide), his is to improve himself so who are you to tell that guy to give up? If he's determined he'll ignore comments like yours. No one is saying "being alpha" is easy, but I don't think we're here to decide who is "in" and who is "out" like children. Maybe newcomers like myself will fail, bu…

I do hope the West grows a backbone. By that, I mean just stand firm on certain issues that will benefit everyone. Everyone can do their thing, but there is a common understanding that is laid down by the nation. Immigrants can worship whatever God they want, speak whatever language they want, listen to whatever music they want, eat whatever they want, etc. They can do whatever they want to do in their personal lives, as long it follows the law. When you try and push those beliefs onto everyone …

...Well at least I have a name for my father's style of parenting now (authoritative). For the most part I was fine with his parenting style, but occasionally I'd act up. Now I'm glad he put in my place when I did act up, or else I might have come out totally spoiled. It sucks that he had to travel so much for work during my teenage years, leaving me with my authoritarian mother and two sisters. Regardless, he taught me a lot of things for my own benefit. These past few years only now have I rea…

My father told me about something his father told him once. "Beware the power of the penis". It was in Spanish, so I'm not sure how to translate the nickname. Insert whatever name you want I suppose. I suppose this just showed me what that power is. Avoiding that Blue Pill mentality you just mentioned seems to be the best way to beat that "power", as my grandpa put it.

I don't know if Pierre Trudeau (Justin's dad) was a feminist... I haven't heard of him identifying as such. Looking at his personal life... he has some TRP things going on (not having outside constraints, focusing on himself over his wife, etc). Then again, I could misinterpreting this since I'm pretty new.

If someone is good enough to be an NCAA athlete but is having financial difficulty then they should be getting some aid as well. I have to recognize the amount of effort they put into being as good as they are their chosen sport. If that's what they want to be then they shouldn't be forced to choose between that and work. Post-secondary institutions should be helping people who are willing to not only to study but do more than that. Financial difficulties shouldn't be holding these people back; …

Not bad. I feel like we should do away with scholarships based on race/gender. Just have awards open to everyone who meet certain academic/extra-curriculular standards. However, one could argue that someone from a lower economic class would be at a disadvantage. Working while studying might prevent them from getting better grades or participating in clubs, sports, etc. I'm not sure how to address that other than financial aid or rewards specifically for these students. Of course, there would hav…

...But doesn't she also state how she grew up in the "you go girl" era and boys got "left behind" or something? I don't know. Some parts of the movie reminded me of TRP but others didn't.

I was thinking this same thing OP. Reading the replies on here is great, because I honestly feel like this is the hardest part of the Red Pill swallow. It's like a piece of my dream (e.g. happy, stable family) was shattered, or at least cracked. It is what it is I suppose. I just have to accept it, no matter how bitter or cruel it may seem. I just wanted to let you know you're not alone, and thanks for posting this.

As a newer fellow around here, it felt good to read this (both the OP and your reply). TRP helps to attract women, but I felt like a lot people were posting things like you mentioned (adversarial/unempathetic thoughts). I don't think that's the type of person I am, or could ever be. Raising my SMV is one thing, changing my personality seemed like another. Just being a guy "with his shit together" seems like a more worthy goal to aspire to, at least to me.

Wow. I was truly inspired by this. I'm more or less about to begin my TRP journey starting with lifting. I assume I'll have to do it alone, which isn't an issue, but hopefully one day I can help another guy out the way you helped Buckets. Great work!

Your criteria for the levels seems odd. You can only be an "upper level" if you go to Church? I knew a lot of people who went to Church but were Christian in name only. The moment they stepped out the door they went back to being pieces of shit, in a subtle way not an openly obvious way (i.e. because they were upper middle class they immediately thought they were better than certain people, had "cliques", etc). Many of these people were middle aged, white parents in the suburb I grew up in. My f…

Can't speak for the other areas of the world, but I have never heard of arranged marriages or supervised/non-existant courtship in Latin America. Adolescence is seen as a time to learn to "court" women, and arranged marriages are frowned upon. They may not lift, but they generally lead more active lifestyles than most men in the US or Canada. Being fit but not a lifter is better than being fat I'd imagine. The only part I agree with is expected celibacy until marriage, but that's mostly due to L…

Conversely, the majority of Black American women contain traits that are UNattractive to the majority of men: they are combative, they are over-weight, they are promiscuous, they are masculine and aggressive. These aren't just assertions, either, these are documented phenomena. The agressive part was documented all the way back in the 18th century by Spaniards in Colonial Latin America. The Casta Paintings were a series of paintings meant to show the "outcomes" of interracial pairing since it wa…

I think the lessons I can find from just looking around TRP. What kinds of physiological advantages does it provide over all other forms of excerise? Psychologically I can see how it would a huge ego boost when women notice you. It develops a physique other sports might not. Physiologically I'm lost. Other than huge muscles, which I think is obvious.

I had heard that about karate, but which martial arts are considered more practical? I can take a look and see what my university offers. I was thinking of doing karate mainly for sport because it's the cheapest one and offers the most classes per week. So basically more bang for my buck, I think.

I can safely say that is not my goal. I wouldn't be on this sub otherwise. I'm aware I can be doing better when it comes to women, I've spent too much time being shy. Just checking to see if anything I'm doing is is detrimental. Figured I'd ask about this since it is something I enjoy greatly, even if I no longer play very much, but I was wondering if it'd any sort of detriment.

You know... I kinda got this idea from "How to Kill a Mocking bird". Finch Scout talks about how her father tells her to talk to people about what they're interested in. I took that idea, implemented it into daily conversations and found that it was extremely easy to hold a conversation. Even if you have NO idea what they're talking about, you ask questions. These days I ask questions regardless of if I know the topic or not. It keeps the conversation going and and lets me know if they actually …

You know what? This is pretty accurate. My dad gave me, and still gives me, lots of good advice (which I recently noticed was RP in nature). Interesting enough, my father now asks me for advice and opinions about things going on in his life. Not everything but some pretty big things (i.e. should I/what do you think of lending money to this family member). Not sure if he does it because he thinks I'm more mature now or some other reason. My mom... Just still nags me about the same stuff as when I…

I'm pretty new to TRP as well but as a general comment about posting... You might want to put the stuff in bold in your conclusion at the top as a summary. I actually took the time to read most of that, but others might not. Keep the essentials near the top, keep the rest as optional so people don't have to scroll through it just to find your question.

I think that could be an issue today. A role model in your life is more likely to know about YOU and YOUR problems. Basically, you can actually talk to them which you can't with an actor, musician, or whomever your role model is.
