For me it's that in the long run nobody really gives a fuck about your social missteps. Humans aren't perfect, and sometimes we say and do stupid shit. Instead of ruminating on past social guffaws and worrying about the outcomes of a social situation (i.e. getting shut down hard), you gotta get back up and realize that it won't matter in the long run. That is the true meaning of outcome independence; not an indifferent attitude to what happened, but an understanding that you will be okay before,…

Depends on how you go about it. If you're feeling nervous and awkward talking to this girl, she will know and you won't get anywhere. It will probably be in your body language (BL) and conversation. Tone maybe? I'm no expert. Just relax when talking to her and express your interest in BL, kino, etc. If she's interested she will make that clear with her BL and interest in the conversation.

People love talking about themselves. Get the person to talk about themself. Ask them how their day went, what music they like, something. Then LISTEN to what they say. While you're listening, look them in the eye. Guy or girl, eye contact is a sign of interest and respect. From there, try to go deeper. If they like Drake as a rap artist ask them things like why and what their favorite song is. If conversing like this feels uncomfortable or weird, keep doing it until it becomes second nature and…

It's okay to not have many successes and much experience. I'm willing to bet your friends weren't born "naturals" and took time to get where they are. Very few people are. It takes time pull effectively and easily; I'm sure as hell not at that point. Just don't let the process get you down. Learning from the negatives leads to positives and success will come along.

When my friends talk about their sex lives I don't know how the conversations here go on, but I'd argue you are listening to your friends' highlight reels and not their behind the scenes. It's called "getting lucky" for a reason, and I think success ultimately comes down to how many times you are willing to fail (not successfully closing for example) and not letting these failures discourage you before you hit the jackpot. I hear where you are coming from man. A friend of mine got out a relation…

TL;DR Visited friend in DC. K-closed a pretty girl. Didn't go further since I was visiting and her friends were being a bit lame. Had a fun time through outcome independence, good frame, etc. Much more relaxed than usual. Had break up 3 weeks ago; might be related to getting over that. As always body language, kino, relaxed voice are important. Inner game like confidence go a long way.

Get some self-esteem and confidence back. Sit down and write down at least a few things you can feel good about. We all hit our lows and some points, and it helps to remember the good things you have and how far you've come. Hit the sidebar here and find some really solid top posts in the past year. Here's one you should read. I think it will help get you back on your feet. Go out and practice. Talk to girls. I'm sure there are a lot of other people who lack the confidence to go talk to girls. Y…

Great FR. Really great FR I think a lot of people on here both old and new can learn a lot from this. I definitely did. One thing I really struggle with is moving past a K-close to F-close. Based on what I'm reading it looks like aside from outcome independence/not giving a damn you need to take the time to build rapport with the girl of interest and not hit the gas on building that up. I'd say I have the right attitude when going out, but I can't figure out what aspect I'm missing. What are you…

Don't get me wrong, I am not thinking there is nothing to like on me. I just think woman are fucking dumb not to see it and I loose respect for them. That's their loss then man. You gotta believe that you got good shit going on and, as long as you aren't being a dick, anybody who isn't interested isn't worth the time. Being a dick or rude to women is no good, but your post gives no reason to believe the fault is yours. It seems like you're a bit jaded with girls considering that things just have…

Once again in your shoes. I wouldn't be melodramatic about it but I would make sure that the tone with which I say it does not portray a funny story. Body language and tone have a bigger contribution in an interaction than what is being said, so I would focus on keeping an open body language and a lighter tone of voice in the sense that I'm not upset about what happened but just don't feel like talking about it. I'm having trouble explaining it because tone and body language are hard to pin down…

it's just that my confidence is now shattered even worse than before because this kind of shit happens to me all the time. Gotta keep your confidence up man. I know how you feel. I just had a girl go from hot to cold on me under similar circumstances. It's not fun. I felt like was I getting played with and I hate the dishonesty in the mixed signals. Maybe you should have push-pulled harder or a piece of your game was lacking. The bottom line is learn from the mistakes, don't dwell on pain, and j…

Suicide is no joke and I'm glad you are past it. I'll try to put myself in your shoes to answer. Are you comfortable with the scars? If yes I would just act like they are a part of you, and answer honestly if people notice. You don't need to elaborate too much since it's pretty personal, but honest communication is important. I think lying is stupid as it goes against honest interactions for attraction. If you aren't totally comfortable, I would just deflect the question or just not answer (i.e.…

First, you need to relax. You really need to relax. I understand that you are upset; a lot of people on this subreddit, myself included, have felt the way you feel. Right now, though, you seem really flustered and upset. You will not go anywhere when you are upset. Try to calm down. If you can't calm down on your own talk to your friends; sedditors don't you know as well as your friends do, and if they are truly your friends they will listen to you and help you. Now to business. You are focusing…

The school creates an atmosphere which definitely plays a factor. My school is very similar to yours. Party schools just create a vibe for the whole partying and hooking up thing. I doubt you'd want to tell exactly where you went but what part of the country was your school?

1) Try to get to know all the people at the pregame. Guys, girls, it doesn't matter. You want to build rapport with the girls and a general sense of social proof. Also, at least for me, I find it fun to get to know new people 2) Be yourself. If you feel awkward cracking cheesy jokes and stuff don't do it. I'm not saying don't put yourself out there but just be aware of the situation. If no one is buzzing, just do some small talk and drink some of the alcohol. Get others to do the same and I'm su…

I wouldn't say it reveals all. Our nonverbals (i.e body language) are a huge part of communication. You have probably heard this multiple times on this subreddit; there is a really interesting TedTalk about body language that is frequently linked (totally recommend watching it by the way I find it very interesting). Feet positioning isn't be-all-end-all of interest. It's only a part of it. Try to see the bigger picture and the whole of a person's nonverbals.

Abundance mentality and outcome independence; I feel like they go hand in hand. It really makes a difference seeing the bigger picture. You gotta have fun outside of just getting a girl at the end of the night. It's really hard to always do so, but try your best. You gotta have fun regardless of what happens. Girls see everything (give them some credit), and seeing this kind of independence puts you in pretty good shape.

Hey Zan I also read Casanova's memoirs (mentioned he read it in another comment for anyone curious). I found it to be an interesting read, and I'm curious if you could elaborate on how it influenced you greatly? I really enjoyed your ebook. I really worked to read and understand PUA and find my confidence. I noticed, however, that I wasn't really opening up. I was essentially being a social robot, and that might be why I'm so confused on the passion thing in the first place. Your ebook has inspi…

Can't change the past man. It's really easier in hindsight to see where you screwed up and what you should have done different. It's best to be happy with what you have and what you've experienced first and then remember the goof ups for the future.

Lol. Yeah I realized halfway thru my senior year I was a fucking idiot too. First, care less about little things. High school stuff is petty and everybody has pretty short memories. Try your best to display confidence in the face of high school stupidity. In terms of girls, try to build rapport with the ones you are friends/acquaintances with already. You might be able to get closer with some, and I figure you would be set with a prom date as well. If all else fails, just wait it out until colle…

Honestly your response probably aligns the most with what I'm feeling and looking for. Looking back this year, I definitely went through the motions of PUA at times as opposed to really getting to know people. I look back at some interactions and realize that I really wasn't tuned in, and I feel a bit bad.

First year of college I was tired of being an AFC. I found this subreddit, and started reading. Models is probably the biggest reason why I'm not an AFC anymore; that book was the first big step in changing myself. I continued my reading over the summer while taking a summer class and working. I took the time to workout and change my wardrobe a bit. I did all this to prepare me for this year; I wanted to get all the girls and really work to better myself. This year has been huge for me. Good stuff! You did what you can; you sent her the text, and now the ball is in her court. I don't know if it goes without saying, but don't beat yourself up if she doesn't come around. I've gone through a similar situation. I got some oneitis from a very hot girl this year at uni. It's best to just live in the moment and for yourself. Girls come around when they see a confident guy just having fun.

Learning to DHV more subtly will come with time and practice. To be honest, I believe the best DHV is doing it without really knowing or thinking. At this point (and I am by no means a guru) I find DHVing is just meaningful small talk. It might sound like an oxymoron, but you don't need elaborate stories or tricks to get the girl. A solid emotionally connection, which can include vulnerability, is the way to go. I digressed a little here; whether you were doing elaborate stories or not, I just t…

The back end of my freshman year in college I read Models which, in my opinion, is the fucking bible when it comes to seduction. Sure it doesn't preach like DHV, negging, etc., but it tells you how to be a better man. That's the first big step. Over the summer, I had a summer course and I read other books mentioned on this subreddit as well as videos. Aside from pick up, I read a couple books for fun; things that you can be passionate about and really connect with people over. Finally, I joined …

I think telling my story will help set you straight. Middle school I was fucking loser. I took everything seriously and was just so immature. I got bullied a lot because of this, and I had very few friends. Freshman year I was diagnosed with PTSD. I went CBT for a while, but I was still a huge social moron. Turns out being put down all the time will really impact social growth. High school wasn't so hot for me. I was a huge poser, but I just didn't know better. I turned to video games and whacke…

Good FR. Sounds like Casi has a really solid frame; it might be cheesy but he must project so much confidence that women respect that and want it. I really need to remember hitting on the least attractive one first when it comes to open 2-sets and higher. Anyone know why he would buy them a drink? From what I know, buying a lady a drink can come off as being needy. Not always I assume?

I'm no guru, but I'll do my best to explain. Mkay by thought model I'm assuming just what I did (inner and outer game in situations like that). First, I deal in absolutes. I told L "let's play pong" and "let's get some air" throughout that night. She didn't come out with me for air, which is not a problem. It's not a problem for me because I'm confident and it's her loss to not come out with me, and if it's not meant to be then it's not meant to be. At the end of night, you just have to accept w…

Models imo is the be-all-end-all of PUA books. It addresses a lot of issues that can be holding you back. I read it twice cover to cover and skim it every now and then. I also read the Game, memoirs of Casanova, the Art of Seduction, the DiCarlo Escalation Ladder, and She Comes First. I read the last one because I want to be the best when it comes to sex. What you did shut him down immediately, but I'm sure you could shut him out of the conversation using your words and body language. In terms of the complications (i.e. social standings/gossip) I think it's best to ignore them. One thing I wish I did in high school is care less about what others think. The eye contact game is an easy way to start building confidence; it's been posted on this sub before and I linked it at the end of this comment.
