it's a weird contradiction with the movement for them to say they want men to be more vulnerable, then complain that they're trauma dumping or forcing them to do emotional labor, but then lecturing them on why stoicism is bad for your mental health. They complain that men aren't emotionally vulnerable while not giving them space to do so. I get this is really a societal thing, but they don't really understand how much they still contribute to it

I can already tell that one of their counterarguments will be the typical "we're not saying all men are bad" which i feel would immediately defeat their own argument, because if you don't believe all men are dangerous why would you willingly choose the bear?

She has a huge ego (which is hilarious because the only thing special about her is her cat) so it's not like she'd take the time anyway because she thinks she's right all the time. Her hiding herself behind an echo chamber doesn't help either.

She can't take criticism at all. She deletes any comments that go against her echo chamber and then lies about what you said to her audience. She accused me of "wanting to be right all the time" which sounds like projection to me.

be funny if it was. The owner did. They make posts dedicated to their cat but every now and again the owner makes comments.

Maybe. I know in one of his recent videos he talks about how he always makes an effort to humanize the people he criticizes and makes an effort to at least say something good about them, so who knows, maybe he is getting a bit better with being judgmental.

There are times he makes some decent points, but they kinda get ruined by his tradcon worldview alot of the time, which makes some of his criticisms seem overly harsh.

and what's funny about this is they expect men to go out of their way to combat misogyny, which i wouldn't have a problem with if they did their part in combating misandry, but they just let it slide like it doesn't exist.

you pretty much hit the nail on the head. despite what they say, they allow misandry to thrive because they let misandrists say what they want and behave however they want unchallenged by the very people who claim they fight against it, or...they say it doesn't exist, essentially gaslighting you.

I feel like most people who preach about toxic masculinity don't actually want men to be vulnerable. They just say that because it sounds nice, otherwise they wouldn't act like its such a chore to be nice to men who are in a vulnerable state. I'm not saying trauma dumping doesn't happen, but its definitely not just men who do it to women.
