I read the article, it clearly said that not only are these younger, fitter men giving them a run for their money, they're actually hurting these women. They're knocking them over, kicking dust in their faces, etc. Being run out of work by younger completion (male or female) is bad enough, but to actually hurt people in the processes is messed up. To me that, and the economic pain of the region in question, was the main point of the article. I personally would have been just as sad for older men…

I disagree, the dad obviously fought to get custody, unless he is a raging psychotic you only do that for love. Since the mom is calmly watching/video taping this and isn't crying/screaming/begging, I'm going to go ahead an assume she's a lying bitch and the dad's an okay guy. There's nothing the dad can do in that parking lot to undo the damage the mom did to that kids brain. Love, patience and quality time away from the mom however should help. (God I hope it helps, that's frikking heartbreaki…

It's such a shame that parents made you feel like shit for being a nice person! My daughter loves all people and it makes her little day when the person checking us out talks to her. It's never occurred to me to think it's weird when it's a guy talking to her. Call me conceited, but I just figure, "She's frikkin adorable, who wouldn't talk to her?" ... I had noticed that men were less likely to talk to her, but I didn't realize that this crap could be the reason.

Oh I fully understand that my opinions are not universal! I was simply doing a self examination and determined that he might even be talking about me. It's entirely possible that I'd reject a guy who had a sad past, I was hoping I had a decent example in my life to disprove that... then I went on to make it sound like where my thoughts/reactions go so follow all other women. Oops. In my defense though he did say "Show one sign of what women believe is weakness and they will cut you off." so if o…

Thank you for simply answering me in a rational and calm way, to be honest I was worried about running into some woman hating. That said, I completely see where you're coming from, and I tried to think of other men I know that are wounded in a less sexy way than my husband and see if I would still find them attractive. I want to say yes, but as these other men are my brothers, and my father in law I got nothing. I want so badly to disagree with you, I want to not be able to believe that my sex c…

Speaking as a woman happily married to a PTSD and depression suffering nice guy: You are wrong, sir. The way he deals with his issues and carries on with his life anyway is a strength. I respect him more for it. He talks about it with me sometimes, when he wants to, when he needs to, and I've never seen an ounce of weakness in him because of that. Some people just fucking suck. That's life.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
