By the Torahic definition of the term, you are correct. But Jesus clarified some things that transcend that standard, and a man becoming guilty of adultery in God's eyes if he remarries after divorcing his first wife, is one of those. Unless you want to say Jesus was "confused".

As far as metal, do you not find certain bands/songs in conflict with your faith? How do you discern your music if you do? I still like Burzam, Sodom, Entombed, Beheamoth, Slayer, etc. I stay away from songs that outright blashamey but sometimes wonder I'd I should avoid it all together based on the imagery. A decent Christian will look past this I have to correct you there. A "christian" who doesn't care what the Bible says will look past this. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the book, but it comes with an explicit prohibition for women to remarry after divorcing, unless their husband dies.

Personally I don't think it's wise to try doing 1:1 comparisons of words or phrases without actually knowing the language, when it comes to Bible study.
