Well we had that rule ever since I joined the mod team at 85,000 subs. In six months we grew to 144,274 users. And growing fast according to our traffic statistics. Posts like this is what brings 1,000s of new subscribers. Once a post hits all we get a giant influx of unique IPs. Which in return brings in lots of new subscribers. So some people may not like the rule, but there is no doubt that it's not hurting this sub.

We mods hardly ever remove post unless it absolutely breaks the rules. We let the upvotes and downvotes dictate what is good content for this sub. Some of the posts you are referring to like the top one atm is posted by other mods. So no matter how many times it's reported we won't remove another mods post.

Ahh okay no problem. If your phone allows it you can just search Reddit using the internet browser and pull up the desktop style on your phone. I have an Iphone and this is what I do.

We would have to develop another banner. This one is I believe is 1800 px wide. The code has it at 100% to fit any size screen. So that's why it is stretching on your monitor. Edit: I can just add more images to the current banner and it will make it bigger so it won't stretch.
