Yeah the only challenge with that is that, as a non-local, you dont know how dangerous it is. I mean, you can do research but it’s not the same as local knowledge. But I do like to see all sides of a city to get a “feel” for it!

But even wandering around a foreign supermarket is fascinating or checking out the city architecture or local suburbs. I love to drive around the “fancy” areas (if I have a car) in places I travel to see what fancy suburbs look like in this town/ city. So interesting! It doesn’t always have to be nature-based... I think if you’re curious and open minded you can be entertained by lots of different things. It’s all about perspective, imho.

This is not true. There are numerous studies to suggest that when controlled for violence and safety, women are just as into sex - any kind of sex (casual, relationship, ONS, whatever) - as men. They don’t pursue it in the same way in society because men you know, tend to rape and murder

Yep agree - very poorly executed and sounds like it’s set her up for abuse. What I was getting at is that we should be talking to our kids, in age appropriate ways, about sex and relationships. They will find out, are finding out, earlier and earlier because of the internet. So it’s about contextualising that knowledge and understanding of what they’ve heard/ seen from their friends or the internet. Hopefully by someone they trust! Yeah, agree - of course there is in between. But I think his intention seems to be going for the in between... although it could be executed better. (And ultimately - is an 11 yo girl going to listen to her dad about this stuff anyway??? Prob not)
