| 1 | Stop reading TRPI strongly agree with this. This community has uplifted me in many ways, but some of the theory posted here is incredibly distilled and not very helpful. I learned enough theory to become a confident and increasingly successful man and now I'm in a great relationship with someone I communicate really well with. I see a lot of rhetoric here that seems designed to put you in your own mind instead of enabling you to just live your life in a full and self-actualizing manner. | /r/TheRedPill | 02/01/20 04:30 AM |
| 2 | The Red Pill is not about team-man, but about youMost people don't read philosophy books in general. It's literally all an examination of reality, but that doesn't mean that the information isn't useful. | /r/TheRedPill | 11/12/19 06:14 PM |
| 11 | The Red Pill is not about team-man, but about youWhat you described is basically stoicism. It doesn't necessarily have to be practiced religiously to be useful. I think it's more of a helpful reminder to evaluate what exactly one has control over in order to appropriately allocate focus. The guys that are getting laid might not be consciously implementing stoicism in their lives, but I guarantee if you examined their behavior it would be consistent with it. | /r/TheRedPill | 11/12/19 05:51 PM |
| 12 | The Red Pill is not about team-man, but about youI think you bring up some valid points about how quickly things can turn, but situations like that are the best time to refer to Stoic philosophy. As Epictetus says in the Enchiridion, "some things are in our control, and others not." Anything you can't change yourself is essentially not worth worrying about. Hope that helps. | /r/TheRedPill | 11/12/19 02:41 AM |
