Drinking alcohol is 100% the person drinking’s fault. Whatever comes after could have been avoided if the person showed more responsibility when drinking. 2	So.... it worked? That’s excactly the problem, but no, it was not the intended outcome. Amazon obviously wanted an AI that would find qualified workers from among all the applicants. An AI that picks out resumes based on obscure details such as diets (probably not diets in the case of resumes) is not helpful at all. 9	So.... it worked? When the vast majority of people working there from before are men, the AI will very quickly discover that male traits are prefered. The AI will then mostly pick out male resumes and this bias will only get stronger with time as the AI confirms its own biases. There’s an entire academic field studying this very issue.
