Ahh okay. Fair enough. Congrats to him for being able to afford his own 2 properties. There are opportunities to grow where i currently work so once i get up to those position i can gain more. Of course i am investing alot into ETF with the idea that it will grow. Hopefully it pays off.

I am actually living with my parents. I am saving up and investing it into ETF. Though i might have to wait 10-30 years for it to grow to a large amount. I only keep 10% and the rest goes into ETF. My expenses are minimal so after paying it of i invest the rest and keep a small amount with me for emergencies. Dont know if that is the smart option but i will keep doing it.

Wow, I didnt think of it like that. After paying of the car, and still working i invested the rest into ETF hoping it will grow. I am still doing while working with the hopes that in 20-30 years time it will grow to a sizable amount. I have just started working in a firm and can see myself growing as there are opportunities there for people who prove themselves. Once i have more experience and have invested heavily, i might have more of a chance to decide on what i want to do with it.

Its expensive nowadays to own a home. Hopefully one day in the near future i can own one and live there. I like having privacy and having space in the house. Right now isnt a good time to buy but hopefully 5-6 years down the line, that changes.

I paid of my car after saving up money from my part time job while in school. Cause i am living with my parents i am just saving up. Everything is just going to saving....well not exactly(I am investing that money in ETF). As for eating out i only go for it once in 2 months. The rest goes into investing into ETF with the hopes that it will grow.

Cool. Thanks for your input. It is important for me to own a home of my own but yeah there would be maintenance costs and yeah jobs could change. Hopefully i keep this job for 10+ years. Once i save up a large amount i can start small

Thats actually the plan. 1 bedrom if not max 2 with bathroom and small garage. House is more spacious but at the way price is going its going to be a luxury instead of by choice

Well i am not eating out as much-probably only once a month and i only buy the essentials. They raised it to 20% recently and its difficult for uni graduates like myself to do it. Everyone is struggling to own a home and they are all paying huge mortgages.

I graduated from uni and need to save up for a home. Got no debts as i paid of my uni debt some time ago. Got no interest in dating as i dont see the benefits in being with someone. One day i will own it assuming i come up with 20% deposit with house prices being 500,000

I live in Aus and its expensive as hell. Foreign ownership of houses really jacked up prices so the average house is 500,000+. I paid of my uni debt so i got that cleared and have no debt but saving up is tricky. Rent is through the roof so thats not really an option. Cause i am young i can save up but i am wondering how long it will take an individual like me....well all uni graduates like me to individually own their own home.

Can i ask as a former uni student how to keep the debt low? I own my car and while i am working i dont want to get married or have any kids. I just want to have a 2 bedroom house but the places where i live cost close to $700,000 to $800,000. In fact i want to be one of those people who have financial stability but then i realize i need to keep working to support myself to prepare for retirement.
