Yes, I agree - but call them out on sending mixed signals

Why not call them on it? "If you mean 'no' then just say 'no' okay?"

"Is this going to be all about me or all about him?" Those are your only options? Bye!

This sub caused me to try to sleep with women at times when I don't really want to "Caused"? Really? I think you meant I chose to approach seduction as purely a numbers game and completely ignored my own feelings and needs which led to my feeling unfulfilled. Perhaps you have a point that this could be mentioned more often, but some might see that as akin to a chess player suggesting that /r/chess ought to talk more about how you don't have to play chess if you don't want to

Brit version: It got so ridiculous that as we were boiling water in my kitchen and as I was pulling the tea bags from the box (and she getting the milk from the fridge) she stopped a couple of times, slyly asking, "what about that fuck," and then I would reassure her we would do it in a minute (which was ridiculous as the tea was steeping and the sugar bowl was out). At one point as her cup was nearly full, I was sipping mine and pouring her milk, I simply said, "Look, I don't think we're going …

Perhaps it's not so much a question of staying there as it is of being there when you want/need to be. It's likely that the introvert side of you needs time, too - that's not a problem to be solved, just a situation to be handled

Off the top of my head: sharing feelings and thoughts that one keeps hidden from others the sharing of hopes and dreams physical affection and closeness (kissing and cuddling) being silly together acceptance of the person as they are (thus you're comfortable being naked with one another, expressing the things above, etc.) being with and accepting the other person when they (or you) are at their worst (upset, sick, depressed) I guess those are a little redundant already, but I think there must be…

Sex is only one part or type of intimacy. Many people (perhaps especially "manly men" but also lots of people, including women) find actual intimacy quite frightening and attempt to reduce it to sex. On the other hand, some people find sexuality quite troubling and attempt to see "true intimacy" as "above all that" and themselves as more "high minded" than others. Both are pitfalls. I tend, if anything, to fall into the latter camp and need to guard against the view that sex is dirty. It sounds …

almost certainly originates from American TV and movies I agree - I expect it originated as dramatic shorthand or a symbol - characters need a goal (an achievable goal) and if you want to indicate the accomplishment of that goal (especially in a "family friendly" context) you resort to shorthand. This has the unfortunate long-term effect of making people confuse the symbol for the thing itself.

Evidence of what sort? And yes, in this context, you are counseling people

I'm saying you are affected by social pressure - everyone is. You shouldn't counsel people based on the assumption that social pressure can just be ignored

You seemed to imply that simply refusing to acknowledge social pressure means it has no effect on you. That seems pretty naive to me.
/r/seduction25/09/13 12:50 AM

That seems rather naive - you think you can just choose to reject social pressure and you're done?

But again you treat false accusation as just another form of lying - that also seems like a stretch to me To me, it's very different - cheating is something many (most?) people do and the fact that someone will have an illicit fling tells me very little about their character one way or the other.

You say that as though sexual philandering and false accusation of rape are more-or-less equivalent - she'll do one, why not the other? That seems like a pretty extreme assumption to make

No, that's a crappy analogy. No, these 'rules' you speak of are not obvious. Even you called it 'their gaming' above - it's deceit If we are playing Liar's Poker and you lie to me - it's still a lie.

"It's your own fault" doesn't stop it from being deceit any more than leaving my open wallet on my front lawn stops it from being theft when you take it

I know there will be plenty of women in town just looking to hook up....where in Vegas to go to meet women like this I was in Vegas a few months back and was disappointed that it seemed difficult to find out where people might go to hook up (other than some obscenely expensive and/or loud clubs that i would not be comfortable in)

Oakland can be quite nice (depends on the area). The Exploratorium is not just for kids and well worth the time and effort. Golden Gate Park is full of great stuff including the de Young Museum, the Academy of Sciences and the Japanese Tea Garden (all great, but also probably crowded as hell on Saturdays), but also a ton of different cool landscapes and areas to wander through. In Oakland, check out Lake Merritt/Lakeside Park, the Rose Garden, Chabot Space Science center, Joaquin Miller Park, Pi…

Some thoughts from someone who has very little game, but who had a fantastic 26-year LTR However, she loves who you have made yourself out to be. Not the AFC you. To the extent that you are fictionalizing yourself to meet women you are not ready for a LTR. In order to keep her, and in essence not be a fraud ... you must turn into who you want to be 100% completely. That's a pretty tall order. In my experience, making it in a LTR requires honesty at a level most people aren't comfortable with - e…
