No, humanity has the ability to achieve scientific goals. People do charity, help each other and create joy. We can make it to the stars, we cure disease and make lives better. Humanity is also beautiful not just by the big things that we do such, but also in the everyday acts of kindness that we show one another. I don't think we have to make a distinction between being respectful of women and being a leader in your relationship. Being the leader doesn't necessarily require you to be disrespectful, it just requires you to maintain dominance and to be assertive. Of course there will be times when those two things conflict, but I feel that if you are able to walk the line and be assertive and respectful then it will benefit you.
