Underrated problem. It's difficult to overcome. You become the person you wanted to be, the person who you thought would be void of insecurities. And then you realize, you have a whole new set of insecurities. I think the only answer lies in acceptance that we will always feel this way. Life is short and it's our responsibly to rise above this. Enjoy today. Self love and action in the face of insecurity.

Psychology. Some Women want a partner that is lower on a scale from 1-10 than themselves. Some Women want a man who they feel won't cheat on them or that they will have more control over. They are willing to lose a few points here. There is nothing wrong with any of this, but peoples past experiences and psychology dictate what they look for in a partner. It doesn't always add up on paper.

Catch Flights, Not Feelings. LOL this is so corny, I heard it in a rap song, but it's a good message. Be busy with your own life to such an extent that you don't have the mental bandwidth or care to catch feelings over a girl your crushing on.

You can start with just "Hello" Many guys start sending paragraphs and feeling like they need to entertain her. Send a short message and develop a conversation. Go back and fourth for a couple days before asking her out. You will find that if you just act without over thinking you greatly improve your chances.

Don't approach right now if it doesn't feel like the right time. You still have plenty of time. It's not like 36 year old guys don't date 22 year old girls often. Heal yourself, work on yourself, do whatever is needed until the point where you feel it's right to seek a relationship. No one can really advise you on this. You have to listen to your gut. Take time to work on yourself or push through the discomfort? ---> Your call.

Social life is entirely overrated unless you're a person that doesn't handle being alone often well. Many thrive with little social activity. Friends will leave you hanging when you need them the most and Women can leave you much worse off than you started. Be grateful that you didn't get into a toxic relationship or accidentally have kids with that person. I would handle the social anxiety first. Know that we all have social anxiety to a degree. You may find that some otc substance or prescript…

After hearing this, it's very likely just ego affirmation for her.

Grant is married and not in the sexual marketplace. Everyone knows that although Grant is wealthy (I believe he is worth well over 300 million) he is not anywhere close to Elon. When people have the facts easily accessible to them you can't cover it up. And Grant is more focused on teaching/proving points than his SMV. These are both very extreme examples that don't really relate to the average guy.

Your concerns are entirely valid. If you value your future then just don't.

Texting is not the place to have long drawn out conversations with Women. That will put you in the friend zone fast. Use texting as a tool for setting up dates. And the sooner the better. Make it clear that she will only get to enjoy your company/personality in person.

This. It's more important than ever to filter out Women you are potentially going to date. The days of even trying to escalate things on the first date are over for me. I have to test her in a few ways before she enters my world.

As long as you don't go to a really expensive restaurant then it's not the worst idea. Keep it very casual. Amusement parks or some attraction where you can walk and talk is better. Just don't go see a movie lol. I know it's tough in the winter months if you don't live in a warm state.

Do you seriously need to ask us? Lol she has given you like 10+ different indicators. Ask her out if you want. If everything you say is true, then I feel really good about your chances of getting a yes.

A female states that she messed up by sexting too soon lol. The guy was already willing to drive out to "visit you" and go on a date. Trust me, you didn't mess anything up.

You have to be extremely obvious with us guys. If you weren't sending clear signals while asking then most guys are still too scared to transition things into the right direction. We think the worst if your body language suggests detachment, and that you only want to learn how to use the machine. And that any advance would be deemed "creepy". But on behalf of all the guys, major props for taking the first step. Don't let this one time stop you.

We have to think about what our actions suggest to Women on a subconscious level. A guy who is not swayed by looks/beauty is likely a guy who has had an abundance of partners and has many options. Thus he is likely to be perceived as high value.

Exactly. I'll text a girl 3-4 hours after we meet. Waiting a week or multiple days just makes everything hella awkward lol.

Nope. There are far too many single attractive Women out there to justify being an asshole like this. Karma.

There is a concept of "as within so without." Everything that you just described is your inner world. Your feelings toward yourself and what your reality is. That inner world will always be reflected into the outer world. You'll get exactly what you described. Unless you can change your self image and conception of reality. This is a little too metaphysical for this section. But this concept really helped me a lot and you may find some use in further research here.

Just strictly my personal opinion, and all of legal age of course. But 20 years. I'm no judge, you could be 80 and date a 20 year old for all I care.

I experience the opposite in most situations. Girls are often more aggressive with me than I am with them. Some are a little nervous the first time we meet, but it doesn't last long. This is just my opinion and experience, but if girls are chronically nervous around you then it points to a deeper issue. But it very well could be that they find you very attractive. So many things go on at a level we can't even see.

I can actually relate. I've had girls approach me before with a lot of interest, and then soon be turned off and walk away. Personally, I think I was too nice to them in these circumstances, and they wanted me to be a little more rude or playful. Some girls are subconsciously seeking asshole guys. They may find you physically attractive, but they are looking for something else personality wise.

It can definitely happen. Especially in High School and College I had a lot of girls initiate things with me. But this is because you are in close proximity on a frequent basis. After High School and College, if you are not within a large social group you likely won't be approached often if ever. Even if your attractive. Only a unique type of female will approach a guy at the Grocery Store, Gym, etc. Learn to approach or just get dating off your mind.

Your not missing out. With relationships you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. A girlfriend can be great, but comes with a monopoly on your time, energy and emotions. Of course, there are positives as well. But don't beat yourself up. Take some time to determine what it is that you really want. Not what society tells you to do or your friends opinions. If you truly still want a girlfriend, then rest assured you can find one. Join more dating apps, learn cold approach and get involved …

I find situational openers to be far superior if your going the somewhat direct route. But you can also just ask a very basic question. For directions to somewhere or something along those lines (Don't ask anything about her specifically). If a girl likes you, she will give off many indications in the majority of cases. If you don't see any indicators of interest in your brief conversation, then walk away after the conclusion. Obviously, if you see indicators of interest then you can transition …

You can increase your chances with the right body language, the vibe you give off and facial expressions. But in general, as many others have said, a lot of Women have the mindset of "If he won't approach me, then I don't want him anyways."

Don't cancel. At the very least, subconsciously this is likely to be perceived as insecurity in her eyes. You need to be in a mindset as to why wouldn't she show up. Text her to confirm the day before. If she doesn't respond then you have your answer. But I think you have a lot more to gain by playing this cool and going forward with the right mindset.
