Men are expected to be strong and masculine and not do anything "womanly" and being gay goes against this status quo and threatens it Women doing masculine things is more tolerated because the "masculine" is the ideal in western culture, and the "feminine" is considered the worse of the two Lots of men see lesbian relationships as "hot" so they tolerate them more
