To continue the analogy and be crass, someone can ride a bicycle and you might not see them riding it. Or maybe you haven't met the bicycle-woman yet, like you're new to the village lol.

Lmao why do some women always think this is the "gotcha" that women think it is? Neither gender should be so loose and promiscuous, it's not a hard concept. Both genders should be shamed for being with too many people

Just a guess, but it might point to being aloof and uninterested with the niceties of interacting with society at large? For the most part of getting a degree it's battening down and locking in to do your classes well and putting in the time for homework/essays/projects and presentations, ect. And running your own business I would expect takes up 24/7 of someone's time, at least in getting it set up and maybe maintaining it afterwards to a smaller degree. Thus, a guy in this scenario might be bo…

Lmao maybe he was using them wrong, fleshlights are maybe too good in my opinion. The sensation is really strong, almost too much, so I only use mine every so often. And yeah they're work to get set up and even worse to clean up afterwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/24 08:14 PM

Sure, I wasn't implying it did. Just that I wouldn't expect someone who willingly chooses to be in a 'relationship' with an AI (especially for what passes as "AI" that we have now) to care whether they were actually chosen or not/the organic element of said relationship. They're probably just desperate for anything similar, which I think we can all sympathesize with.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 10:13 PM

but an AI bf/gf doesn't choose you. I mean, if someone is going to cope down to an ai GF/BF, then the real GF/BF probably aren't choosing them either which is the original issue
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 08:09 PM

Oh sure, I wasn't implying that there aren't! I was just mostly curious as I thought there was some good discussion on just what being 'single' means to both genders, honestly term definition across the board would probably be good to lay down for this subreddit in general.

Okay but when you say 'sans relationships,' do you mean without relationships only, or also without sex entirely as well? My question is mostly to clarify, as I've seen a few posts around here about how men who are without relationships are almost uniformly also without sex of any kind, whereas women might be fine not being in a relationship but that doesn't necessarily extend to being fully celibate. Edit: just reread your comment and see you mentioned celibacy, sorry about the confusion

I think he's saying that he had to prove to the military police that he didn't rape this girl when she was saying he did, and even with showing the letters showing her and her friend's attraction to him, he was still reviled? That's my understanding anyway

Hey man, I would say don't beat yourself up over this! You saw a chance, a chance that seemed like it was obvious as all get-out, and you took it. Even better, you handled it pretty damn maturely when she rejected you. You can't let it get to you though - there will always be more girls around the corner, probably even hotter than this one. And unfortunately, it's all just a numbers game for us guys - just gotta keep trying until you get somewhere. The good thing is you're focusing on self-impro…

Very true, almost all of my coworkers are in their 40s and beyond and only one of them is still attractive, but that doesn't even matter anymore - how well they look probably doesn't even factor into their life anymore beyond maintaining a basic standard so their spouse doesn't leave. The funniest part of this choice is that you don't maintain being only slightly-ugly as you age - time ruins us all regardless. So yeah, I would always take being attractive while young
/r/MensRights24/09/21 04:55 AM

Lmao right? That's a fucking no-brainer, even if hitting the wall is pretty brutal once you hit like 35. People make the most of their life in their teens to twenties/thirties, the rest of your years would be devoted to childrearing/career anyway
/r/MensRights23/09/21 11:28 PM

I mean.. it should make her at least a little less attractive in your conception of her at least, that she'd be willing to have sex with a 15 year old who's clearly mentally undeveloped (15 and in 8th grade still) Physically, of course she still remains a smokeshow

Oh I see what you're getting at. That's kind of an ingenious idea. Or it would be, if redditors actually read the linked articles and didn't instead just post their anecdotal evidence to support/disagree with the headline

So the better option is for them to continue sleeping directly on the cement or in alleys or under bridges (until they're chased away by cops)? And directly still in any inclement weather like rain or snow or extreme heats? That's awful. Plus shelters provide an address and phone number that homeless people can list on job applications, as well as places to clean themselves up. So these men have now been completely deprived of the ability to even attempt to get a job again and try to turn their …

But isn't selective service just a binding contract that states that you'll be drafted in the event of a war that would require such beyond our standing army (and assuming you're physically fit and within the age range to be drafted)? So it's not really that different from the draft if it's just the precursor to the draft

I mind 'man up' because it carries the implication that I'm not currently behaving how a man would. They're subtly trying to emasculate you, and it's usually to shut you up about an opinion or statement or emotion you're expressing. Or try to to coerce you into putting up with some bullshit that you shouldn't have to.

Wow, I thought for sure this was going to be a sarcastic post. I'm glad that it wasn't, good on your company. I wish my company's sexual harassment training was more equality-based, almost the entire thing was based on men harassing women. They also threw in one woman harassing a gay man, most likely as a token effort.

I have a kind of qualm with this whole case. It says that the man pleaded 'no-contest' to the charges. That means "A no-contest plea, while not technically a guilty plea, has the same immediate effect as a guilty plea, and is often offered as a part of a plea bargain." It seems really odd to me that he didn't plead not guilty. And then the fact that he actually agreed to meet up with this women? I think that that would be acceptable, that women can say that they shouldnt listen to men about what it means to be a woman. I'm not sure why that wouldn't be acceptable. Men and women should themselves determine how they should think and act, and don't have to listen to each other about how to live their own lives.

Isn't that assuming that I even put myself into the position that she would be able to interact with me at all? Because that's part of what I'm proposing, I suppose: to just avoid drunk girls in general. Yeah, that sounds right: just avoid drunk girls in general. If their entire job constituted standing/sitting around and modeling things, then I would call them models. But I call them servers, because they actually do serve you the food and drinks that you order, and other things that servers do. So it's not like they don't actually have the job of a server, but instead that that is not the entirety of what is expected of them.
/r/MensRights27/04/12 11:12 AM
10

Yeah im pretty sure that's not allowed. The reason places like hooters can get away with allowing only women to be servers is that being an attractive, usually busty female is part of the operational qualifications for the job. In other words, since the whole theme of hooters revolves around this sexual theme and the women, the servers have to be like that to work in that position. Yours sounds different however. If he hasn't given you any reasons, you should consider making a case out of this.

But I'm really kind of confused about that comment. He's asking the other person if they post in r/mensrights because they hate the kind of attitudes like "Men are always so violent," and "Men only want one thing," and so on. /r/MensRights11/04/12 07:26 PM

Well yeah, I guess I should've stated that I was never against being careful in choosing who you have sex with. I am a strong advocate of that, and think that many sexually criminal situations if there was a more thorough and careful choosing of who to get with. But you can't use the excuse of "they should've been more careful in who they had sex with" to explain away the illegality of some people's actions. But that is still unacceptable. It starts to nullify the entire concept of giving consent and the weight that that brings. If giving consent doesn't mean anything later on, when you can just say that "oh I gave consent to it so to anyone in their right mind, that made the agreed-upon sex acts okay, but I later changed my mind when I knew it would benefit me," then what is the point of consent? If that is allowed to continue, then we have to start living a world where even if you're given explici…

/r/MensRights11/04/12 06:39 PM

I see where you're going, because it goes back to thomas jefferson's (I think) quote about how unjust laws must be struck down. But the difference is that it's not that the rape laws are unjust (or at least I don't think they are, I haven't had a chance to look at the statutes), but that the sentencing and prosecution for men for the crime of rape is incredibly disproportionate to the sentencing and prosecution of women for rape. That's a problem in the whole legal system, not in the laws per se…

But, that risk-aware participation doesn't really factor in to the case girlwriteswhat stated. In the case in question, the female had given consent to the agreed-upon sex acts, and never attempted to stop the sex during. She lied later on, when she knew it would get her the kids. It's different than what you've stated because she did give consent, so there shouldn't have been any risk to speak of. And if you wanted to still apply that idea that you should be aware of the risks, even in such inn…

What did you tag him as? Did you tag him as "another person who likes to make accurate generalizations on a minimum of evidence?"
/r/MensRights11/04/12 08:45 AM

But that's being unfair (and I don't say that in a whiny way). It's true of all people. Every action that a person takes is to benefit themselves in some way. It's not a trait that is exclusive to women.
/r/MensRights11/04/12 08:18 AM
11

Yeah, this is the wrong way to go about changing the legal system. If you want to make the legal system more fair, then you have to interact with it in a fair way. You can't add to the corruption but in a way that benefits your own interests; that solves nothing. You should inform them of how patently ridiculous their actions are, and maybe point them in a better direction.

That is not the point of the MRM, and it just makes us look bad when we lower ourselves to these aggravating people. We must stand tall, and be nothing but polite and respectful, while still fighting for men's rights.

You are a saint, rightsbot.

Why has this comment been downvoted so heavily? Do people really not understand what you're saying? I would agree that it doesn't necessarily imply that only men can rape; in fact, it only seems to imply what you've suggested. However, the idea that only men can rape is obviously false, and should be fought against.
/r/MensRights11/04/12 08:02 AM

No, no. That is obviously not the correct action. Everyone, don't listen to this person.

So, this person is racist as well as sexist. Sounds like a real winner.
/r/MensRights06/04/12 09:21 AM

Yikes. I'm not sure how to feel about those, it definitely makes me want to research planned parenthood more at the very least. And yeah, I've been thinking Sanger is pretty despiccable as it is, that doesn't surprise me.
/r/MensRights04/04/12 01:49 PM
2

Oh yeah no problem, I'm glad I was able to make it clearer. You got it.
/r/MensRights04/04/12 01:13 PM
2

Seems relevant, I liked it. You got an upvote from me.
/r/MensRights04/04/12 01:11 PM

That's really interesting: why are you anti-planned parenthood? Is it because of the apparently awful people that run it, or just the entire concept/entity itself?
/r/MensRights04/04/12 01:09 PM
1

Ah, that is very annoying. But I wonder if we should even count those as being possible definitions for "no?" Because they're actually definitions for the acronym of NO, or probably something like that, not actually for the term "no." And yeah, I don't either. I just thought I'd leave a philosophical comment on something that didn't necessarily warrant it.
/r/MensRights04/04/12 10:43 AM
13

To give a semblance of being fair, Tucker Max does make many, many sexist comments. That's not really what Men's Rights is about. The MRM is about fairness and equality, and those comments aren't exactly helpful. Like this one: "In South Florida. This place is awful. Shitty design, slutty whores & no culture, like a giant Planned Parenthood waiting room." Not really helpful to anyone.
/r/MensRights04/04/12 06:26 AM
1

It's interesting, though. If "no" always is defined by the definitions for "no," then "no" always means "no."
/r/MensRights04/04/12 06:18 AM

I'm sorry, but I don't know what is meant by verbal coercion; can anyone illuminate this term for me?

/r/MensRights02/04/12 09:20 AM

Exactly, you said this better than I was going to. Plus, I want to add in that he seemed to feel that all philosophy was nonsense, and that implies that he knows everything about philosophy. Which is quite the claim to make.
/r/MensRights31/03/12 09:19 PM
2

Why was this downvoted? These are all legitimate questions. For someone to be able to make broad claims about something, there needs to be evidence of their credibility to make said claims. If sisoruen wants to say all philosophy is nonsense, then he has to explain himself if we are to take him seriously.

Ohh sorry, I didn't see that the post I was replying to got deleted. It said that the boy being raped was reverse rape (implying that rape is always done by a man), and I wanted to explain why that didn't make sense.

Go away, troll
/r/MensRights29/03/12 08:45 PM

That creates the implication that rape is always from the perspective of the male as the rapist. Rape is defined as such: "The crime of forcing another person to have sexual intercourse with them, esp. by the threat or use of violence." There is no such thing as reverse rape, because it is gender-neutral. Edit: I kept screwing up typing and not proof reading

I'm not so sure that she did it just to be funny. Like another poster was saying, it may have been an accident that she kneed him, and merely thought it was funny afterwards. Obviously it wasn't funny, as getting hit in the balls hurts so goddamn fucking bad, but we just don't know whether she did it on purpose from the lack of context of her status update.

Oh weird! I didn't know that it did that automatically, I guess I haven't ever seen words on this in coded format beyond a sentence or two, or that weren't placed on a new line manually.
/r/MensRights18/03/12 11:49 PM

Hmm... so maybe I'm reading your comment wrong, but it seems that the indenting may have made to so that the code format was implemented numerous times, rather than just the first time, and that's why it became unreadable on my phone?

I know that this will probably get heavily downvoted if it even gets seen, but it seems more and more that we need to start "laying down the law" on the police, if you know what I mean.

Hahah yeah pretty much all of those comparisons were..retarded, for lack of a better word (I think you even called them that as well). And you got it! I don't see why people aren't agreeing with you, you're not talking crazy. There is always the risk to get into bad situations (such as driving on the highway, eating any type of food and dying from some weird bacteria, getting into a stranger's car). No one denies this. You're only advocating being cautious about what types of situations you put yourself in. Like going back to the driving on the highway example: you realize that there is a large chance of dying in a car accident, so you wear a …

/r/MensRights18/03/12 07:38 AM

fuck, just don't help anyone. That way, you'll probably never get in any trouble.
/r/MensRights18/03/12 07:35 AM
6

I'm pretty positive that it's best for you to keep this policy of staying away. It's far too easy to get in trouble for really anything these days, so much that it makes helping another person almost not worth it at all. Maybe you could help only if the person is completely in your way (like if you were walking along a sidewalk and they were right in the middle of it), but unless that's the case, it's probably best to just keep moving.
/r/MensRights18/03/12 07:33 AM

Do you mean taxes? Don't you mean interest on school loans?
/r/MensRights16/03/12 07:57 PM

That's really smart that you're tracking everything that you spend on, that's the best thing you can be doing. just keep being careful, and remember to keep your lawyer informed of everything periodically. Or if you don't have a lawyer, you should consider getting one.
/r/MensRights16/03/12 07:41 PM

You should report her for criminal negligence, as someone suggested above. Take pictures of all the booze she buys, take pictures of her drunk as can be; basically, just collect all the evidence you can of her poor job raising you. I bet you will be able to make a case to get custody back to your father. The system is fucked up, but it's not completely unworkable.

I just want to add in that someone posted about a while ago, that a significant portion of the wages that are being used for child support actually goes directly to the system. I think they also said that it's a couple billion dollar a year industry. Pretty fucked up.

I definitely agree with you here, the process has to be started at least. Plus, it will at least show everyone that the person who made the claim has done something wrong. This is what I feel is most important: that it is shown that this is not something a good person does, and it will be punished when it occurs.

It seems pretty sexist in both respects, in that it asserts that women are naturally the best at dealing with stuff around the house. That is a thoroughly annoying comic.

Mm, I'm not sure that she would be in contempt of court, because she isn't either indirectly or directly stopping the court from proceeding in its processing of cases. I would think that she is violating a court order, regardless if the judge said what he said formally or informally. I think at the very least, the OP should talk to a lawyer about this; maybe the lawyer can contact the judge. Good ideas though!
/r/MensRights03/03/12 01:02 PM

Take her to court. The judge's word is controlling here, she doesn't have the authority to override what he said. Or at the very least, see if there is any way you can contact the judge to get him to sve this for you.

This makes me envision a future that is portrayed in the simpsons in one of their gags, where the men live underground, pushing the cogs to keep the society going and the women live up above, socializing, and selectively "milking" men for breeding. It's horrifying.

Stay the hell away from her, and always keep a running camera on you (from your phone or otherwise) whenever she is anywhere near you or could potentially be near you. I think what you might be missing is that there will always, or at least one can expect, a higher death toll resulting from any war for any people than any other cause of death. That is the epitome of war: it brings death. Just because the amount of deaths is greater in WW2 than the amount of suicides since, does not diminish the huge amount of deaths from suicide comparatively to many other causes of death.
